  1. LA Noire coming to PC this Autumn.
  2. Frankly the "Dungeon Siege franchise = crap therefore you are not allowed to complain about Obsidian making a sequel in name only" argument is an amusing one, and similar to one that I saw used by the rudest and more annoying Fallout 3 fans all the time when people politely (and non-politely, of course) argued that Fallout 3 wasn't a Fallout game because of its genre shift. Seems amusing to see it here, especially considering that the Dungeon Siege franchise is tied to its gameplay rather than its lore, compared to Fallout where you can see why, despite the gameplay being completely different, Fallout 3 and New Vegas could still be considered Fallout games. Well, amusing and sad anyway. Doesn't really reflect well on the community.
  3. Publications don't "post" their scores there, it's Metacritic that collects scores from the publications they judge credible enough. Admittedly, their methods are less than transparent, but the logic behind that choice (instead of, you know, aggregating all reviews they can find and do an average) is pretty sound. GameRankings offers some pretty similar scores anyway, 74,60% for PC, 74,06% for the Xbox 360 and 74,21% for the PS3.
  4. Thanks WDeranged. And for people who are still doubting the fact that this is essentially another iteration of Gamebryo:
  5. Russ Pitts actually gave a pretty high score to New Vegas. That editorial was badly written, but yeah.
  6. For people thinking that Feargus suddenly changed his mind: Neverwinter Nights 2 was originally planned to be a multi-platform title, but that plan ended up being scrapped pretty quickly.
  7. I honestly don't remember any figure where 2 mil.+ was sold-through. That said, Dragon Age II was obviously produced on the cheap, especially when compared to Origins, so it probably profited to EA, as much as the game was hated. It had a horrible impact on BioWare's image and brand recognition though, so we'll have to see.
  8. Morgoth sure loves his dodgy, legally-borderline website.
  9. GameBanshee's post-release interview with Tomasz Gop. Tomasz recently left CD Projekt and the interview was conducted before the Xbox 360 port was announced, but there are still interesting questions (and answers).
  10. Hardly. But mostly because they seem to invest money in the wrong project, from what I've seen, not because they are hard with the developers (as far as I know, they're pretty fair as publishers go). Of course, it's difficult to get good information from public statements and hearsay, so take it with a grain of salt.
  11. Uhm, consoles don't get updates like that because, uh, the control scheme works and is pretty well thought-out for the most part, instead of feeling tacked on and broken?
  12. George Ziets talked about DLC in one of Buck's interviews:
  13. You won't get a Daggerdale sequel retail ahahah, nowai.
  14. Mordin. Easily my favorite character from all of BioWare's production and one of the reasons Mass Effect 2 can be great despite its bad main plot and the general streamlining.
  15. 2 of three slots are free because the UI shows the abilities of the stance you're using. As I said before, you can't map stuff.
  16. You change stance. Abilities are linked to stances. There are two "attack" stances (with two different basic attacks) plus a defensive stance which is activated by blocking. If you're playing on PC I think you can activate the healing ability also by hitting '4', but I'm not completely sure. You can't map anything on the UI and in general, it doesn't feel like there's been much work put on the PC version, and that's quite the understatement. Hope that helps EDIT: On PC you change stance using 'Q' on consoles with R2/RB.
  17. I'm all for it when I'll have the game. But I don't, right now.
  18. Same for me. Unless there's at least one competent team mate with me, I refuse to play. You mean the 'bunny hop with trash on the beach' antlion level, or the beginning of Nova Prospekt? If the former, that game has driven you mad. Maaaaaaad. I meant the beginning of Nova Prospekt.
  19. And out of Steam's Top 20. Kinda weird, but I heard there are problems with achievements and other functionalities too so before jumping and screaming "THE SALES ARE HORRIBLE D:" I'll wait a bit.
  20. PC Gamer, 78/100.
  21. I finished Half Life 2 after a LOOONG pause. The design was poorly thought-out and it often felt like Valve was more concerned about showcasing their tech than making a game, but I still had some fun with it, especially in those cases were they nailed the new mechanics (e.g. gravity gun, the levels with the antlions). Plus, atmosphere-wise, this is one of the best games I ever played.
