  1. Uh, no idea on that, but considering how hard CD Projekt has been pushing those elements and console players getting the full experience I'd be surprised if they accepted for them to be censored.
  2. I still feel sad that the Icewind Gate project never finished. Would have loved to play them on the Icewind Dale II engine. The quote was "using the latest version of the engine", which was extrapolated into ToB. Based on the system they are using, ToB is more likely, but let's see what we get, first. No, the quote mentions the Throne of Bhaal codebase specifically: https://twitter.com/#!/TrentOster/status/180387224926429184 (I'm too lazy to use the new idiotic linking interface)
  3. In what way? The script was written in English in the first place IIRC.
  4. CD Projekt is not an independent developer though. In fact, CD Projekt is a publisher and CD Projekt RED is their internally-owned studio.
  5. Consider this: the Borderlands PC version sucked. People hated it (the port, not the game). This is just as much sending the message "We won't screw it up this time" to people that have played the first title. Also those kind of features are getting increasingly less common.
  6. I was mostly responding to you to respond to Hudson/Walter (who won't read me)
  7. whoa... whats this game rated? I'm pretty sure it didn't imply that.
  8. Cut the superfluous questions, sure, but I have the feel they may have cut a tad too much, especially considering how late the element was introduced.
  9. Well, Queen did some really awful stuff in the 80s, but yeah. And a lot of other bands too! You've set the limit way too low Nepenthe! P.S. : "Forced romances"?
  10. Nope, it was just the normal titles. And this is a clear move to push Beamdog... they've learned well from Valve and EA.
  11. Grab some ammo and shoot the gerbils.
  12. David Gaider works for BioWare which isn't involved on this project. I'd be really surprised if he somehow managed to work on this.
  13. I hear there are a lot of contracts out there that ask for 90+ so actually that wasn't even that bad of a clause.
  14. I'm not sure if with the weighted model that would have that much of an impact and if they'd just start handing out the bonus now, especially since we don't have the contract and the clause might have been for all of the 3 version of the game (not each version has an 84 metascore), but uh, I guess it can be done?
  15. The Wheel of Time is pretty much vaporware. Not Obsidian's fault in this case at least, Red Eagle is just kind of sitting there with the license and doesn't seem to have their **** together.
  16. Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition. Not too sure on what it is because the website is down and they sent a non-working image as their press release. Not the best way to start, Beamdog :/
  17. I don't know about that since I didn't follow it too closely, but tiding until a new project comes along sounds sensible. Not sure if that could have stopped the lay-offs that occurred though, sustaining all those people requires lots of money unfortunately :/
  18. No, absolutely. I don't know maybe you're right! I don't expect it to be a new game by the way. To be completely honest, I'm not sure what I expect it to be.
  19. Of all things that warrant criticism, not having the classic big final boss (like the ridiculous Terminator in Mass Effect 2) doesn't seem huge on the list, honestly. The video was funny though.
  20. At this point it would also be a tad too much hype for an iOS port, imo. But who knows.
  21. Kickstarter is really cool but it's not really a sustainable way to do business for a studio of the size of Obsidian, I think. I mean $1 million is a really tight budget for an RPG too, and Fargo was 100% aware that asking more was gonna stretch it. At most you could a project and then, assuming the Kickstarter and the project goes smooth, you could use the extra profit gained from the sales to fund something else. EDIT: And don't get me wrong, I do want a Kickstarter from Obsidian.
  22. Obsidian as small-sized developers like Double Fine would be a better alternative than Obsidian disbanding and its talent bleeding in other places to me, but you have to wonder if that's possible. And either way, a lot of people would be out of a job, which is horrible :/
  23. Uh, Feargus and the guys are the ones who manage the company. I don't think you're really aware of how the company is structured.
  24. I love when people ignore the things I say just to be extra-rude! It makes for a very good discussion! EDIT: On the Wasteland 2 forums there's a pretty good thread that discusses the differences between the identities of the two franchises.
