1. ]Dragon's Dogma Footage It's like the art director is actively trying to sabotage the project. This one is even more generic than Oblivion.
2. All that stuff Oner is citing was already in Dark Souls but I still wouldn't call it a survival horror RPG (not even while trekking the Catacombs, Tomb of the Giants and New Londo Ruins, nope).
3. It's pretty good, but a whole game like that? I mean, the level rarely ends up mentioned for being a good RPG level because.. it's not. No matter the character you have there are no choices to make there. It was a great diversion and set the tone for much of the writing of Bloodlines, and I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, but yeah. I don't know, I'm personally not sure if a survival horror RPG is a good idea, that said, if that's something the team was passionate about, I'd support it, if nothing else because it's something different.
4. The first hours of Fallout are really pretty damn easy, and even Fallout 2 isn't that problematic. Besides, if the whole game was like that, you wouldn't hear as many people singing their praise.
5. How.. how are the things related? The point is that the design goals of your common survival horror and RPG are at odds. It's not that it's impossible, but even if you manage a design that isn't clunky, who would want to play it? Again, I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's def. something that is neither easy to make nor easy to market.
6. To be fair, mixing the survival horror and RPG genre in ways that work sounds almost unfeasible.
7. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is actually available on Steam (without Origin).
8. After finishing Dark Souls I'm now playing Shadows of the Damned (good game, although with way too many **** jokes for my tastes) and Portal 2 (taking it really slowly with this one for some reason).
9. The way it looks, the gun is actually just needed to mark the target and the attack comes from a satellite. Sorta like the Helios One thing in New Vegas, or that thing in Gears of War the name of which I don't remember. A laser marker? You mean, like in Gears of War? That's exactly what I said and you quoted, down to the comparison.
10. It was quite obviously a joke.
11. Turn-based it's not appreciatively better than real-time, it's just different, and it's generally less served by the market, and really mostly only by indies. Turn-based IS better than Real-Time With Pause, since that started as a compromise on the mechanics to make them more appetizing, and the moment you have to make too many tactical choices, you'll find yourself pausing all the time anyway.. at that point it's just better to have more control, and that's what turn-based gives you.

13. Because the painter guy was blind and the paint itself didn't *know* itself.
14. Man, Shepard just gets more and more illiterate as time passes. He's reached Steven Seagal-levels.
15. I'm an Obsidian representative. Feel free to give me all your money until Chris and Feargus come to collect it.
16. It seems like a http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3465079&pagenumber=17#lastpost]FOV fix is available now.
17. Well, not exactly, it just says that was scrapped.
18. Don't they talk about (and I'm gonna use spoiler tags) In that case it makes perfect sense. Well, okay, maybe not perfect, but while we don't know the circumstances, it's not an outright retcon. I'm p. sure the horrible comics with already say that anyway.
19. Think the original Fallout except with better combat (possibly full-control of your henchmen?) and an original setting. Or do what the **** you want, as long as it's not "yet another action-RPG: Retribution". We're served by the AAA market for that.
20. One more boss.. one more boss and I'll be done with Dark Souls (well, for the moment, I suspect I'll try my hand at NG+ too). That was.. quite the ride. Really satisfying game.
21. Having played a little with HD textures, I'm 100% sure that bloom/lighting are unchanged. The changes in IGN's screenshots are probably due to taking the photos at different times/different conditions.
22. I suppose you can't tell us what you're gonna work on at Blizzard?
23. I misread and thought he was talking about Age of Decadence. I'm not following Dead State as closely, in all honesty.
24. I guess that makes sense. It's just rather jarring. Obviously the Revelations' Altair makes more sense, given both his name and his supposed origin. It makes you wonder what the heck they were thinking back when they made AC1. Reminds me of the fact that Altair was the only one that pronounced Al-Mualim wrong in the first game. Good times.
25. Mass Effect 2 has horrible storytelling choices (not necessarily plot holes) and yet we're focusing on the ship class of the Normandy? Oh man.
