  1. An iOS game which is quickly becoming the Age of Decadence of the Apple store since no one knows anything about its release.
  2. If there's anyone that's more technically proficient (shouldn't be difficult) feel free to correct me, but I believe mocap is only half of the deal? Ultimately there's still a lot of things that should be touched up and corrected, and of course, things on an engine level like the blending between animations and such.
  3. It makes you seem a little bit insecure if you take offense on that comment, but on the other hand, it really wasn't a good move on Matt's part. Pissing people off is not good PR.
  4. The beard.. no more. P.S. : Just a guess, but I expect that a lot of Obsidian's audience, including people who post regularly on this forum, won't like the mechanics.
  5. After playing Uncharted 2 I'm actually kind of looking forward to see Naughty Dog's take on the post-apocalyptic/zombie outbreak thing.. they made the only title this generation which I feel I can call "cinematic experience" without insulting it. It also made me much less impressed with BioWare's trailer, since their cinematic setpieces pale in comparison.. Mass Effect 3 could still be a good game, but that didn't exactly show its strong side.
  6. I don't see why not, it's a totally new studio made of people who are probably good at the genre. That said, I'm not sure I see the benefit of developing under the BioWare label, it seems like they're diluting its brand that way.
  7. Isn't it Kevin Saunders that has left Obsidian?
  8. And every single tweet of yours that mentioned a second Onyx project was reported here. Every single one, even the ones you stopped yourself from writing mid-way.
  9. Some people seem to be experiencing a lot more crashes I think, but besides that, I haven't seen anything broken by this patch, and it actually fixed all that stuff that 1.2 nuked.
  10. Adding to that http://www.linkedin.com/in/chrismlang I love how the guys resume goes from teaching volleyball to production intern just like that.
  11. They made the same mistake in their initial article but later corrected so I'm not surprised.. probably some initial miscommunication between them and Obsidian/THQ.
  12. It's going to be on PC, that was a mistake.
  13. Batman also has the lack of over-the-top sexist insult barks during combat over her.
  14. I'm not sure I understand the whole "RPG/fighting/fantasy doesn't fit South Park" (yeah, I'm simplifying and conflating together different gripes from different people, so yeah, I'm probably missing some nuances from some posts here, but this is an issue that crops up in other places, not only on the Obsidz forums) when actually those are themes that have been touched in plenty of episodes. There have been entire episodes dedicated to the boys suddenly ending up in the realm of imagination and fighting alongside Gandalf, Jesus, etc. , and I don't see any reason to believe this game will be different in that respect. I mean, I obviously don't know whether it will work mechanic-wise and how well the game will come out, that depends on Obsidian, but I'm fairly sure it'll be true to the source material considering how involved the license holders are (they basically approached Feargus and his minions themselves and are working hand in hand with them). That said, while I can see something good coming out of this, I can't say I'm personally excited, because I appreciate Obsidian mostly for their slightly less pulpy and more intricate writing and their attention to quest design/C&C/etc. (which doesn't always provide good results, mind you, but always pique my interest), and this doesn't really sound like a project where they'll push that. Hope I'll be wrong though.
  15. Except it does thing like changing the faces to match more the concept art and other stuff. It ain't a patch, Lexx.
  16. Someone has to tell the Obsidz' webmaster that South Park is written like that and not like "Southpark".
  17. I'm unsure what BioWare has to do with the topic by the way.
  18. Actually, from what I understand South Park: the Game is turn-based which, hilariously enough, would make this the first game from Obsidian to actually be turn-based.
  19. That's why development of Alice 2 was largely outsourced to South-East Asia. Outsourced? I'm fairly sure that's Alice McGee's company? I haven't follow Alice's development tho'.
  20. They got a lot better with The Witcher 2. There are still a lot of scenes that I felt were gratuitous, but you generally get the feeling that it's actually set in a world where misogyny is rampant rather than the devs being He-men Women Haters themselves.
  21. I know this information has been around, at least on a rumor basis, for quite some time. But AFAIK, this is the first time a public statement was made towards them actually working on it. That's not really a public statement? It's a second-hand source. If you check the original press release, it mentions nothing about the Wheel of Time. Same with the GI snip.
  22. Yeah, this is old news. We don't know if they're "working" on it right now because last time we heard Red Eagle was trying to fund the project first.
  23. He is.. not posting anonymously? He has his name and last name right there in his username. I mean, I'm not sure why you're talking about leaks. Surely if he leaked something we wouldn't know it's Anthony Davis?
  24. Yes, but the non-disclosure agreement you sign while at a company do not magically disappear when you leave it. I kind of doubt it's that, anyway, since the project isn't announced.
  25. Yeah, the is quite cool. When it comes to the end of the main quest: .
