  1. AP is not a fantasy setting with a lot of lore tho' and SEGA doesn't own the concept of a spy RPG. That's pretty much what Chris was discussing as a 'spiritual successor'.
  2. I'm not sure why you want so many GMs?
  3. Are we sure it's a reference that Weekes made? The guy specified that's not a direct transcript, so he might have just made the reference himself as a comparison.
  4. Difficult spike 2/3 through the game.. uh? I don't really remember anything like that honestly. At that point the average player usually has mastered the controls and knows how to approach the title, so it shouldn't really be all that complicated? Plus, at least on PS3, there's a pretty active community so there are plenty of summons available. Not that it was *easy*, but I just don't remember there being a difficulty spike.
  5. Editor in dire shape? If you're talking about THQ, they're not funding the project, they're just doing distributing duties.
  6. Congratulations on being the coolest kid on the block, I guess? The difficulty is most definitely not 'a myth' unless you have been playing different video games than I do for the last 10 years or so.
  7. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Double dipping.
  8. It is. Suggest away.
  9. How is EA worse than half of those other companies? People take gaming way too seriously. It isn't. It's a pretty good indicator of the kind of negativity that surrounds EA lately though, although whether that will have financial repercussions we'll have to see, and I'm still a tad skeptical (stuff like Kickstarter is happening though, so I tend to be a little less cynical these days).
  10. I've been tossing around ideas for a Fallout PnP campaign for a loooong while, but tbh, I usually just play with my circle of friends and have never done a campaign on the internet so I don't know if I'd like to start DMing immediately. Assuming the rhythm is not too frantic, count me in as interested as a player though.

  12. It's not about dreaming too much, it's about people asking what would be done with extra money and also providing a little more incentive for other people to donate. I seriously doubt $3 or even $2.5 is feasible, but I still think Fargo made the right move with this update. He's been kinda sparse with updating too, but I guess since the team is deep into pre-production and they have no concept art ready yet, he did what he could.
  13. Absolutely. Though the speech skills aren't a winning button and you actually need to think about how you move if you don't want to get backstabbed later.
  14. No, because Kickstarter doesn't ask you your location. Besides, it's already over $1.9m you have to keep Paypal into account.
  15. They are actually going to use his story outline for the project too. I don't know if Jason was involved or consulted in any way shape or form, but presumably that's inXile's property anyway.
  16. Weeeeeell.. that? I wasn't expecting.
  17. I'm starting to think Cutlock is really Prosper.
  18. Actually not reaching the goal for your Kickstarter as a professional developer is pretty risky because it says things about your management and your built-in audience. Not necessarily super-risky, but it may be an additional obstacle with publishers.
  19. If you contribute enough to get a named NPC.. maybe!
  20. Now you Obsidianites have a reason to back this project! And yeah, I guess they could momentarily drop their Kickstarter project since Avellone was spearheading it (unless someone else takes the reins?). This also sounds like it could help them see how much their name has an effect on Kickstarter pledges. Not that there aren't potential risks too. That said, as someone who was already very much looking forward to the project and likes Obsidian's and Avellone's output, I'm excited. Just hope they don't disappoint me, but well, will be sad if it happens but nothing I can do about it.
  21. After finishing Portal 2 (difficult to get in the flow of it because of all the loading screens and a few puzzles that I thought weren't very well laid-out) and witnessing the awesome ending I switched to Shank. Sidescrolling brawling fun.
  22. I do! But I'm kinda behind with the news about it.
  23. I understand better now.. and mmmh.. I don't know, I tend to be a bit jaded and cynical (I was initially skeptical Fargo would get funding for Wasteland 2) but this might be an interesting idea. Maybe mail Avellone? EDIT: Obvs, there may be problems I haven't thought of yet, which is also why it would be better if someone else besides actually checked this thread.
  24. Doesn't that get a bit too convoluted though? I thought one of the appeals of Kickstarter is that you're in really close contact with the developers and know exactly what you're funding? Also can you call an organization devoted to make games that will be sold truly no-profit? Not to be a killjoy, I think it's an interesting idea, I'm trying to understand.
  25. How can we possibly know if the DLC hasn't even been announced yet?
