    It depends on what you're looking for. It's got that Uncharted/Far Cry 3 style of run around, a little bit of exploration, a bit of hunter gathering, get xp from killing things, improve weapons, improve skills, loose plotline holding it together. It does have a few semi torture-porn moments, and a couple of annoying QTE's, but I found it mostly entertaining for that. If you were expecting Tomb Robbing, it doesn't really do that. But then, it's basically a prequel for how she became the hard bitten killing machine with an interest in weird archaeology.

    I think it could become an issue. The rewards you get for it (so far that I've seen) basically give you "ship money" that can only be used to improve the equipment on the various starships you can use, that and improve your "abilities" with them during those starship games. So someone who's done a bunch of them will be able to have lasers that do more damage, recharge faster and can hit you from a longer distance, while not having to wait as long as you for other abilities to recharge. Depending on what positions you assign various crew to, you get a couple of options of special abilities.. ranging from increased hit/critical chance to reducing an enemies recharge rates on their shields/weapons etc.

    It's hovering at around £26 here in the UK. So with Christmas shopping to be done, I'm trying to avoid taking the plunge just yet... Temptation and all that still.

    To be fair, the main writer of Far Cry 3 keeps trying to say that. The problem being that none of the people who played the game saw that is the fault of game players not being deep or aware enough to see that. Take sharp note that the island is "Rook Island" which obviously points out the nature of being a game-piece on a board, or the target in a con. Seriously. The writer is all over the place when he tries explaining what he tried to do with Far Cry 3.

    So I've been hearing lots of mixed reviews over how well the pc port of AC4 handles. Any actual hands on experience from people of the boards?

    I just gave the Starfighter a-whirl. Took a few missions before picking up the knack for the controls. Definitely need to be careful of mouse movement and not scroll too far. This one is going to be murder against a ready-made team with voice-chat capabilities. Although I can imagine a group of friends doing the "Red 5, have a bandit on my tail!" could be quite damn fun. Definitely have to adjust your playstyles depending on the type of ship you're flying as well.

    When you're in the middle of a dream and a scantily clad pretty girl turns up, you tend to think "oh its sliding into one of those dreams", when it's followed by a dozen odd variations of Baron Harkonnen suddenly start spinning across the landscape you wake in a bit of a terror and confusion.

    Really looking forward to some good health at some point this week. Forced. Myself to try eating something, got about halfway through soome scrambled eggs and toast before the queasy hit. Even finding tea isn't tasting good, which is downright wrong. Headache seems to die down, the the moment I stand up and become vertical it flares back. Damn it, I missed most of the steam sales because of it.

    30+ hours in bed sweating trhis fever out. Think its finally broken,just got the headachw and odd sweat chills. So much for my weekend. Still, moms pain meds kick aspirins ass. Giess I'll see if sleep kicks in now and whAt the Monday start will bring.

    I can state quite categorically, I hate freaking fevers. Rthe combo of chills, shivvers and higjh temp. Thise draining aches in the joints and spreading out. The pounding ****ing spike between the eyes. Not a happy bunny going through a night like that. EsPecially whEn the mind is going buggy, take last night I got stuck witha star wars hud appearing in my head (with some odd steampunk twist). I really dislike fevers

    Was having trouble sleeping, so I decided to give up for a bit and read some John G Hemry rather then just toss and turn and stare at dark ceiling. Of course, then I ended up reading the whole book in a couple of hours before trying to sleep again. At least I got a semi-lazy lay in for a bit on this Saturday...

    Yeah, I've been ticking all of them bar the Operation stack, and so far I've ended running the two czerka fps (in SM and HM) about a dozen times, while I've gotten [HM 55] Hammer Station once. If I don't have Czerka ticked, it pretty much goes an hour or two without showing any group action...

    Hm, been running through some of the Elder Game stuff with my SI. Definitely noticed that groupfinder seems to be throwing Czerka flashpoints up a hellava lot more often then any of the others. I guess everyone's focusing on those of late? Still, how my new fashion runs..:

    New meds for mom, and they're altering some of her old ones. So I've got to learn the new setup for everything as I sort out the drugs for the next 7 days...

    It just gets expensive to pick up all those ability upgrades as you hit those levels. Especially 50.
