  1. I so much hope they will do more HR dlcs... Waiting since months and they announce nothing. :/ Maybe the modding community will pick up?
  2. The market practice it's geared towards middle school girls, yet the means remains the same as it does with adults. Its the old adage "Sex sells", so it would be really no surprise if someone older picked up on that and responded to it. But I just used him as an example of how the media capitalizes on sex appeal even when its not completely appropriate. No, i'm defending cultural relativity by pointing out the same oddities on our own. Starting with the Greeks seems to make the most sense since its the greatest example that our own depravities are not the result of cultural exchange with Japan but rather original. Its just a difference of perspective between cultures, not really an issue of right or wrong.
  3. But without marriage how would we trade our daughters for camels and poultry? Our livelihood depends on it.
  4. No it only means that you like gay black women.
  5. You initially voiced your disdain for anime cliche's and then proceed to argue lolis, so I'm I led to believe that you do enjoy anime and your argument refers only to a few uncomfortable moments? I'm not pulling a strawman you're simply misrepresenting yourself and confusing me. May I introduce to you the newest musical phenomenon "Justin Bieber" a pubescent boy with the complexion of a toddler. He was preceded by the Jonas Brothers who drew unnecessary attention to their deviant sexual practice of something called "abstinence". Point being, that despite the fact that we have always had youth on our media now our icons have become more "sexualized". Now whether this and the pageants are a symptom or cause its another matter. But hebephilia it's as old as those depraved Greeks, so there's always been some sexual element to the portrayal of youth on media namely because this its the point at their lives in which they discover their own sexuality. So you are too late to win that fight.
  6. You have taken an entire series of stories, traditions and archetypes and reduced them to lolis. That's a strawman. No, it doesn't make uncomfortable but you're arguing opinions not actual points. Cultural relativity old mate, our bizarre it's their everyday and viceversa. I could easily point out that children's pageants are just pedophile fodder and are actually more damaging ;since they do involve real people, rather than an animated show. Yet it's permitted because our culture values sexuality as key to success. So, are Americans really more normal than Japs?
  7. I try being concise rather than do a series of long posts that are irrelevant and cloud the point. No offense meant to anyone, just a preference of mine. Ok Speaking of straw men... Maybe I'm missing the subtext of mainstream animes, but outside of niche pornographic material I don't really see lolis "being designed to elicit a sexual response". Just like outside of porn I don't see schoolgirls or cheerleaders as particularly sexual (also the whole lolita complex was started by Nabokov not the Japanese...So arguably western cliche). So for almost every depraved eastern archetype I can find a western counterpart. With the difference being that Japan has overexploited all of theirs. Look it's okay if you're biased because it makes you uncomfortable, just admit to it, say your opinion and have the courtesy of respecting someone else's.
  8. I only tried the Steam demo, but yes. "Do not attempt to play Binary Domain without a controller. If you don
  9. Just for clarification, your stand against same sex marriage is because of legal complication or religious freedoms?

Got my glass of wine, doing some modelling and this came up in Pandora. So I felt like sharing. http://youtu.be/_1uunRdQ61M
  13. Do you have their numbers?
  14. I get what you say, although I still feel that the main focus of the Witcher 2 story which was the politics of the land came across shining. If that means that you don't get to experience the same atmosphere as you did in 1, i'm ok with it. Storywise they have been able to constrain their weak bits in favor of focusing the majority of the plot on a stronger story. The Wild Hunt is to the witcher what the Reapers are to ME and even less since they haven't been a central part of the plot yet,
  15. Hey... they're tax free.
  16. There's no such a thing as consistent, long-term sustainability in economics. Everything changes, and with it, politicians have to adept. This is something they completely and utterly fail. They, and their cronies and masters, just want to uphold the status-quo, and that's exactly why we don't have nice things in this world. Adapt, or be doomed to repeat history. Speak for yourself I have lots of nice things. But then again i'm not in this world.
  17. IDK but now we all really hate the Swiss.
  18. Just for my edification its there an organism dedicated to enforcing the interests of the investors, namely that the product gets done. Otherwise it seems like an honor system. Edit: I was referring to Kickstarter
  19. Maybe they shouldn't announce it like that, deterrence counts for something.
  20. Pretty much. Although I suppose they can wax on about morality or just get all ragey over some company's products It is a convenient mean, pirate groups tend to respond faster than publishers and fix their problems and they probably care more about the product than the publishers. If they actually released original content they would edge out most publishers on customer service. So instead of focusing on new ways to tap into the market, such as providing a stable, trouble free, and simple way to get games at minimal cost, publishers and their investors as usual will milk the market for all it's worth and wait until an innovator changes the product and they will move on towards the new successful gimmick.
  21. Yet this a point in the escalation of DRM and piracy that companies should really consider another mean to stop pirates. Think of it as M.A.D. and the pirates being ****roaches able to survive a nuclear strike, companies are destroying only themselves with their measures.
  22. Checkpoints ? What is this, Dragon Rising ? Don't remind me please
