You assume that the fighting will be done by just China and the US, for the US to enact a nuclear option so close to Russia it might be the straw that breaks relations. Any type of conflict on that area might end up drawing Russia in. Which of course changes the entire theater. But, I don't believe (I hope) that it won't come to nukes.

There is the third and most likely option: Everyone loses. A war with China will likely end up at a draw where the US is unable to occupy the ground and China cannot control their airspace and sea. Which may lead to the diplomatic table soon, although if past World Wars are to be believed human stupidity will take over and try to honor the dead by piling more dead upon them. But if we had better politicians we wouldn't be at war in the first place, so I expect a cluster**** of epic proportion and they will likely bring back drafting if they want to occupy ground. Likely to turn into the rape of Naking part 2.

This is just a test post Edit: Ok it worked

You may have to settle for heart trouble or prostate cancer, you should definitively have some other options planned though. I hear wrestling with sharks is a good way to go.

This has already happened. Why do you think the Chinese had such a vested interest in the recovery of the USA economy? End of the day the Chinese are an export driven economy, if large countries like the USA can't buy there goods they are in big trouble Look the sooner we realize that the economic collapse will inevitably lead to WWIII, the sooner we can build our own bunkers. End of the day if there isn't a massive change in the US the next economic down might be the one to kill us all. Plus with the political climate (rampant corruption) as it is, there will be no reforms that lead us out of this recession. OTOH by the time this happens China might have found another customer on one of the emerging economies, which might end up balancing the equation. Either way, interesting times ahead.

It is hard to say if a person's life will be remembered through posterity, with Mandela there are no doubts in my mind that he will be a part of history.

Let's not assume malfeasance immediately. Maybe the ask for proof of testing, or have their own test groups double check it. The problem is that this is voluntary, so it will only work if enough publisher/developers sign on or enough consumers know about it.

Has she said anything about preparing physically for the role?

Tai chi, maybe? Good for circulation and breathing.

Chances are they will end up integrating Open source into Steam OS, but I agree with most points on Gaben's vision. I prefer competition and multiple choices rather than a monopolized industry.

I guess they've worked out most bugs by now, but the bad dungeon design is irreparable.

I'm guessing that's exactly the kind of arrogance that leads others to react with hostility ("looking down on it", as you put it). It like teeth brushing, no one is forcing you to brush your teeth, but neglecting it soon become noticeable, unhealthy and generally doesn't feels good to you or your surrounding, it also takes a lot of effort to "fix" the effects. What so arrogant about pointing this out? What piss me off is the guys who don't brush their teeth making the situation uncomfortable to others, and on a road to costly dental plan, but claims that "he is ok with that", that people who suggest that brushing teeth is normal basic thing for every human being are some product of "modern" bla bla enter excuse here... well this analogy got a little out of hand but you get the point.. Brushing your teeth is necessary to maintain health, but most people are turned off by a muscular roided giant screaming in your face that you should floss.

How about banning the guy who ruined the beautiful women thread?

Do it cold-turkey style and you're not going to miss it after only a couple of weeks. I remember when I quit soft drinks, It was pretty awful and pure water made me feel sick in my stomach, but now I feel so much better, especially my teeth. Also my headaches went away and I don't have odd fatigue attacks anymore. The body doesn't need all that blasted sugar. Who would have guessed... On the other hand you could do it gradually, like a patch. Cut down the number of sodas per day you drink, try to replace them with healthier alternatives and see how your body responds. Also, stop buying sodas.

That's Oby, he is the resident troll. We have a tradition of Russian nationalist trolls here on these forums, Oby is a poor follow up to a greater one. RIP LoF.

Don't, my new rig stuck me with windows 8.1 and i'm not liking it one bit. Definitely for touchscreen.

New computer, new problems. Windows 8.1 problems, I don't think anyone here knows how to get it to recognize a Portable Hard Drive? Edit: Hooray! I fixed it, now to install all my programs.

Not sure why you even bother then; if its bad trolling then it merits no response and I'm pretty sure that Obama deserves no defense. For the same reason I wince when someone cuts one. Ok, I'm going to try and decipher this post: "cuts one" could be taken literally as when someone is cut, which would explain your wincing. In this case you're implying that the reason is because you have empathy. However, for some reason I also think that "cuts one" sounds like an euphemism for farting. Similar to "letting one fly" and that you wince when someone farts. I need some clarification here, do have empathy or a phobia for farts?

Read about that about 27 mins after it happened, and sadly it looks real. Looks like the universe has a sick sense of humor.

Errant Gamer critique of Stanley Parable
Orogun01 replied to alanschu's topic in Computer and Console
From just the first minutes (and after seeing the duration of the video) I would say that reviewer is not only full of himself, he puts an effort on being full of himself. Edit: Ok, I've never listened a review by this guy but I now hate him. REdit: That guy should really stick to reviewing the game instead of using it as a platform to rant about his opinions on game structure. -
I never understood how people can not air out their family issues, whenever my family has an issue we just yell it at each other. Today was an issue day BTW.

How about for the ones that reply to you only to solicit a response because it's your kryptonite? You have my contempt.

If I ever met you guys I'm going to punch you for those posts.
