http://www.eurogamer...ownloaded-games EU rules publishers can't stop you from reselling your digitally downloaded games. I wonder what this will mean in the long run. Interesting, to say the least. Edit: Oops, sorry Decaf, didn't see your post there.

I enjoyed it.

I was at the Peace & Love festival for the entire week. Got home yesterday. So.. I have the hangover from hell with drinking. Being constantly drunk for four days straight even makes your toes hungover.

Stalker was not decent. Stalker was awesome. All three of them. Yes, even Clear Sky. Shut up.

You walk on roads made possible by tax money, you were born in a hospital made possible by tax money, you are whining on the ****ing internet made possible by tax money.. and you focus on the negative and have the gall to call it theft. Some people.

My first computer was a ZX Spectrum 48k. I was pretty late into the PC era, so my first PC was an Athlon XP 1800+ with a Geforce 4 Ti4600 128MB card. I actually didn't build my first PC myself, but had it built at a combined fishing and computer store (!) in the town I was studying in at the time. I remember it came with 512 MB RAM and I upgraded it with a second 512 MB RAM stick for something like 1500 SEK (200+ dollars). It also had a 40 GB harddrive, which was considered big at that time.

I never played those. But since getting into Ultima 7 has proven almost impossible for me, I don't have high hopes for these two.

Yeah.. I must say that I can not for the life of me understand how people can still be playing that game. It has sooo many flaws!

Very cool.

Went back to my installation of Diablo 2. I mean.. everyone else has played through it a billion times, I feel I MUST get through it once! Finally beat the demon Duriel. I now remembered that he was the reason why I stopped playing the last time. I mean.. I am playing an assassin with a crossbow, and then suddenly they put me in a small room with a huge boss that not only can kill me in two hits (and my companion in four!), it runs faster than me, has some sort of slowing spell and has a ****load of hitpoints. I actually beat it by going there, getting one or two hits on it before dying, resurrecting, rehiring my companion and back again. I noticed that Duriel didn't regenerate health between rounds so basically I just died 20 times to beat him. Lamest tactics EVER, but at least I am now past him. Don't exactly feel like a power player..

I've played it! It's so weird! And the graphics.. ugh. I mean, I am no graphics whore, but damn.. those graphics actually HURT my eyes (no joke!). They're so blurry that my eyes are constantly trying to compensate and after a while of this it actually starts to hurt. But yes, the game is wonderful.

I agree. I have argued on this board before about this issue. Why are there no RPG's where I don't have to kill people in order to gain experience and level up? Why is it not possible to implement some other gameplay feature for character progression? I've thought about sports and racing.. and I know at least racing is doable (Road Trip: A Road Adventure proved this to me). But why isn't anyone doing it? I would even play a fishing RPG/adventure..

I guess it's only nonsense if you're not the one saying it.

We got beat by Ukraine. Now we have England and then France to look forward to. Yay.

Sweden enters the tournament tonight, against Ukraine. GO SWEDEN

How many (approximately) distinct maps/levels are there in Diablo 3? I'm playing Path of Exile right now and the main reason why that game gets old is because it has too few maps to play in. It has two acts (they are planning on a third, but it has not been released yet) with an endgame called Chaos (basically an amalgamation of the previous maps/enemies). http://kris.bachiochi.com/other/poemap/map.html It looks like Path of Exile has a lot of maps, but most of those are just "passing through" zones with no real meaning other than to throw enemies at you. No quests, no side areas, no secrets, just basically an entrance and an exit to the next map.

They did. Was about the only good thing about Microsoft's conference.

http://espn.go.com/olympics/hockey/story/_/id/8015700/soviet-union-hockey-great-vladimir-krutov-dies-52 There goes one of the guys who made me interested in hockey at all I was able to see him play live maybe 20 years ago. I am grateful for that, he was an artist even then (in the twilight of his career). And now I'm sad

http://www.staples.c...ader/index.html And yes, this was my first try. I understand that once you have read it several times, it will be easy to beat. So stop cheating, cheaters!

I liked it a lot. I played it in co-op with my cousin and it was fun as hell. The first half of the game is melee based and takes a while to get used to (timing and distances and such), the character progression is very RPG-esque and also great fun to experiment with, the world is very well made and the graphics are good. The second half of the game is not as impressive (at least for me) and I didn't like that they divided up the game in two distinct parts. I had hoped for an open world. Also, the second part is much more gun based and guns just don't feel right in this game. The bad parts are some of the story bits and the respawning enemies that can feel a little cheap. Also, the equipment breaks too fast and even the rare equipment you find doesn't feel very special. All in all, I would still recommend this game, despite some flaws.

Holy crap, that looks good! FINALLY and open world game set in (almost) contemporary times! Wow. Please let this be good!

I just don't understand what makes the LA Kings so good this year.
