I like easter eggs. In Gothic 2 there were a hidden message in the night sky if you looked closely and observed the stars (if it was a cloudless night, that is). Also, you could find a few notes plus a very funny sign in other parts of the game. If you looked really hard.

I would love to see us PC gamers get a little extras as compensation for having to wait those few extra months. But I suspect Obsidian has to move almost its entire KotOR2-team onto the next project (Neverwinter Nights 2 or Icewind Dale 3) almost immediately. Also, putting in a little extras sounds easy but I'm guessing it's actually a complicated process, with all the bug testing, QA and release candidates that has to be sent everywhere.

You might be right, Sarjahurmaaja. Let's just hope he runs into the Admin one of these days.

Why do I always think of THIS GUY when I read a post from Volourn..? Oh right, must be the part where it says "It's useless to talk to Acne because there's no point, is there?". Anyhow, my suggestion for post count is to get rid of it (and watch the liar Volourn squirm in pain) and replace it with nothing. Or perhaps with date of joining. Or member number. Actually, anything that doesn't encourage useless spam would be nice. Custom titles were the nicest though.. Are they making a comeback in a near future?

Wish I had known about those sites when I installed SP2 for Win XP Swedish and my colume control disappeared. It was very annoying.

Same crap, different name?

I know Akari already said no to this, but I would actually love to have one of those tiny metallic, floating globes as my pet. Perhaps fit a camera in it and you could use it to get a bird's eye view of areas.. or let it hover around corners silently and check out the opposition?

Light Side new offensive power poll
mkreku replied to LORD GRAVEN's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe it wouldn't suit a game like KotOR2, but a power I'd really like to see in a game is Earthquake! I want to be so powerful I can make the ground around me form circular waves rushing outwards (like water does when you drop a stone or something in it.. rings, you know), destroying everything in their path. It could look sooo neat. Imagine houses toppling over, people flying about, trees braking and falling.. -
Don't think KotOR2 needs more "mini games" than there already are. I voted no.

Which Jedi Style do you prefer?
mkreku replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'm happy to see the old-style one-handed light saber winning this poll. -
Damn, what a crappy list. Only two games on that list I care for. GTA: San Andreas and Half-Life. Except KotOR 2 of course.

Hey, we're all victims here. You post 3600 whiny, negative posts all over the forum that people have to wade through to get to the interesting posts. OF COURSE WE'RE VICTIMS. Glad you're proud of your post-vomiting though. Hey, if you keep this spamming up maybe you can break 4000 today?! You who doesn't care about post count.. Right.

If you think losing your manual is bad now, you should have been around when the Gold Box games where the hot item of the day. They came with a copy protection system that required you to have this weird spinning paper wheel that you had to turn to the right position. If you lost that wheel (or if it broke, it was only paper after all) you had no chance of playing the game anymore. It sucked!

Could you please take your ego masturbation somewhere else 'cause it's impolite to do it among people.

The owners had 6 different suggestions for a solution up for grabs the last couple of days before the lock-out. The NHLPA rejected them all and they did not have any new suggestions of their own. From what I could see, only one side was interested in a solution, and it wasn't Bob. The owners have been paying these ridiculous sums of money, that is true. But it is the same owners who are now saying enough is enough. Nothing wrong with that. You can't run a business that loses 280 million dollars a year. I'm sad to see the NHL suffer, but at least lots of players are coming over to Sweden to play this year so we'll have the best hockey in the world anyhow.

Why are you on these forums?
mkreku replied to -Master of All-'s topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I write news for a swedish online gaming site and I got word of Obsidian being formed by a group of talented people defecting from Interplay, so naturally I went here to check out who it was and.. uhm.. for some reason unknown to me, I'm staying. KotOR doesn't make my top 20 list of RPG's I like and neither does Neverwinter Nights. I did, however, love the Fallouts and Wasteland. It's just that whenever these guys decide to use an existing Bioware engine, the game turns to something I'm bound to not like. I hated the combat in the Infinity engine and it wasn't much better in the Aurora engine. With a little luck, this company will some day create a game that suits my tastes. -
Ok, so you think I avoid the "salient points"? This is part of what I "avoided". To be honest, these examples are so far from the original subject, I see no reason to adress them. If you care to discuss the subject at hand I'll be glad to adress your "salient points" though. Actually, when you compared Allende to Stalin and failed to see the difference between a madman and an entire ideology, I knew this discussion could never lead anywhere but to namecalling and poorly disguised insults. When you care to provide sources for your claims, stop pretending to be above everyone else in the sandpit and actually adress some of the points people have brought up in this thread, then it might be worth continuing. But all I see so far from you are very impotent attempts at insulting people. As a side note, I love this quote by Henry Kissinger as he comments on the outcome of the democratic elections in Chile: "I don't see why we have to stand by and watch a country go communist because of the irresponsibility of its own people." Must be my "intellectually lazy, left-wing" brain playing tricks on me because I find that comment amusingly ironic. But I'm sure the intellectually sharp, extreme-right Bush-lovers of this forum will be kind enough to explain to me why the quote isn't funny at all..

Uh, that is communism. You say "take back the land" and I say "sieze property unlawfully from it's legitimate owners." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Again. Although dividing the land among the people might have been a tool used by some communists to accomplish the classless society, it is certainly not communism in itself. Communism is just an idea of creating a society where everyone is each others equal. You took Stalin as an example. Well, Stalin is the worst example of "communism" you could imagine, since he was just a dictator pretending to lead a communist society. There has never been a real communist society! One of the goals of communism is total freedom for the individual, but history has shown that such has never been the case in reality. In fact, communism has proven itself to be one of the most disastrous ideologies for its people. Personally I think the problem with an ideology like that is that it assumes that all men/women want the same thing. Obviously some people are never happy unless they have lots more than their neighbour and that's what makes the communistic system fail. It seems to be too easy to abuse for someone without moral barriers. Allende was a socialistic leader, and if you can't see the difference betwen him and the dictator Stalin, then there's really no point in continuing this discussion. Maybe you need to read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Allende Speaking of death squads, maybe you need to read this (about the guy who eventually, with the help of the US, overthrew Allende):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augusto_Pinochet

You need a Volvo 740 from the eighties then. "We're boxy, but we're good."
