New PS3 details emerge...
Yup. And for some reason, people still believe Java is platform independent. Like I said in the other thread: 3 weeks to code the game, 3 months to make sure it works on 800 different phones..

"There are only 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who don't." Love that quote. (I first saw it printed on a t-shirt, worn by a very busty girl )

Why We Fight
I know, that's my favourite Godfather.. But I've seen that movie a couple of times already. It was a tough decision to make, I'll admit.

Why We Fight
I've tried that in a previous thread (I am sure EnderWigging remembers it) and it didn't work at all. My english vocabulary is far too limited for me to be able to explain my views in a non-flammatory way (it seems), but I thought the documentary was so good that I'd love to start a discussion about it anyhow. With a little luck, someone intelligent and with proper knowledge of the english language will walk by and pick up the gauntlet.

I really hope you found yourself some good hex/binary translators and didn't do that by hand, you crazy finn.- Optical Illusions
- Why We Fight
Just wondering if anyone but me saw this documentary about why the government of the US start so many wars? (It was shown on swedish national TV a few minutes ago) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0436971/ Very good and thought provoking piece of film. I just wish more people would see it. It was much better (less opiniated) than Fahrenheit 911 (although not as humorous) and tied together a number of different views and destinies in a clever and subtle way. I've always thought the problem with Moore's movie making is that he provokes the opposition to the point where there's no longer a debate, just a bunch of name calling and mud throwing. Eugene Jarecki (director and writer of Why We Fight) uses a less obvious in-your-face method, but still manages to bring across his (and Eisenhower's!) points in a clear and precise manner that might help build a debate instead of destroying it. Anyhow, see it if you get the chance.- SHADOWRUN
Well, if people call Deus Ex a FPS, then I sure hope this new Shadowrun IS a FPS- What is your favourite racing game?
I've played Trackmania and Trackmania: Sunrise, and I can definitely recommend Trackmania: Sunrise. It's not as much a racing game, but it does feel like driving when you're steering your vehicles through the insane courses. The goal of (some) of the game is to find the quickest route through the loops and wild stuff the game throws at you. Sometimes that means driving over the edge of a cliff and sometimes you just need to do the totally unexpected. Great fun nonetheless. You can also design your own circuits (very easily) and trade them over the internet. Multiplayer is also a lot of fun.- New PS3 details emerge...
That was me! That was me!! I am famous! (And yes, it is true. You could also ask Loof about it since he's taking the same course as I am so he must have been to that lecture too.)- Declaration of Revocation
I guess that would be you then?- Declaration of Revocation
You know, it's possible to write 'old' in every thread on this board. Does it help or add to anything? Nope. But keep on doing it, I'm sure someone enjoys it. Anyhow, I'm extremely bored and just surfing around. If I see something interesting/funny I'll post it here. So there. Live with it.- Please welcome our new moderators!
I'm amazed. Hydrogen has come out of the closet as being female and yet I've seen no trace of Baley's lame pick-up attempts!!1! Does this mean.. the board.. is going to be.. alright? By the way, I've always thought Hydrogen was the bestest moderator around- Spore

I used an application called Hypersnap. Doesn't 'print screen' (the key) and then pasting it in Paint (or any picture editor) work?- In-game adverts
The worst thing is that Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed is actually a very good game.- What games are using the Eberron Setting?
I don't like magic at all- Show me the South Park you!
Yup, it's old. But I never managed to create a Britney Spears without make up before!- Please welcome our new moderators!
Having a moderator is also a great way of getting the last word in every discussion. "No, you're wrong. And you smell. Thread closed!!"- NHL is back
Get out of my poor, poor NHL-thread, you nasty curling lovers!!1!!one- NHL is back
"Had the Leafs bought Nolan out today, they would have had to pay him $3.8 million, an amount that would not have gone against this season's $39-million salary cap. But Nolan claimed that an injury suffered in a game in April, 2004 was misdiagnosed by Leaf doctors and that his current knee problems are directly associated with that injury. Injured players can be bought out, but only for the entire amount of their contract. Since Nolan maintained he was injured all through last year's lockout season, he also wants to be paid the $6.5 million that he would have made last year had he spent the entire season on the injured list." Oh yeah. Players aren't greedy at all.. Some people. Source: http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentSe...d=1122587412905- Please welcome our new moderators!
