  1. Uhm. I have also tried the Fahrenheit demo (looks fantastic so far) but I didn't get to play the officer..? Demo over. Tried it again in a few different ways, but Edit: Oops, those spoiler tags made the entire post black
  2. No, I heard it was delayed for some reason. But you're right about it looking highly interesting. I'll probably be getting that too. You can never have too many racing games For some reason I've never been amoured by the Gran Turismo series. I don't know why I'm the only one feeling this, but those games seem way too 'stiff' for me. Just like Forza Motorsport does on the Xbox. Weird. By the way, I forgot about Rallisport Challenge 2 on the Xbox. That's probably the BEST rally game I've played, but since I don't own an Xbox myself (cousin does) I haven't been able to play it as much as the other titles I mentioned in my earlier post. But it sure does belong in the top game list!
  3. The one spice I always keep in my kitchen is something called "Italian Salad spice" which is some kind of spice mix that makes everything I cook taste good. I bet it could make dog poop taste good if I tried it.
  4. Just stop arguing with Trollourn. It isn't worth it as the guy can be proven wrong a billion times but never gets the brains to figure it out. I saw an interesting rumour today. Apparently Detroit are after Big Joe Thornton and they are seriously considering trading Datsyuk to get him! Ok, I know Thornton is big and skilled, but does that sound like a smart move to you? If Datsyuk keeps improving like he has the last few years he should become an extremely exciting player to watch. He's already impressed the hell out of me with his awkward style and unpredictable moves. Joe Thornton always makes me think "Geez, he's so big, strong and skilled, shouldn't he be able to do.. more?". Also, Thornton doesn't seem like the type who thrives under pressure. Quite the opposite in fact. Still, it's only a rumour, but.. Interesting nonetheless.
  5. Yeah, and then they'll probably get Forsberg too just to annoy me. They'd make a great line: "Ouch, my head!" "Ouch, my back!" "Ouch, my spleen!"
  6. If the ads were naturally implanted into the game world, I wouldn't mind it. But most often they're too obvious (they're ads after all!) and then they're only annoying and it makes you wonder why you just paid 50$ for a game that's full of commercials. If ads could be normal street signs in a racing game, and the inclusion of ads would actually lower the price of a game (like ads do to magazines), then I'd be all for it. But not until then.
  7. Anyone hear any rumours about their teams yet? So far I've heard that Toronto are considering ditching Belfour in favour of.. Manny Fernandez! Geez. Oh well. What I don't understand is why they aren't trying to get Tellquist into the game? Toronto are also rumoured to look into Peter Forsberg! Now THAT could be a sensational deal, if only Peter didn't break something everytime his skates touch the ice. A more injury prone player isn't possible to find. Still, when healthy, Peter is probably the best player in the NHL. Toronto are also rumoured to bid on Glen Murray (Boston), Eric Lindros (Rangers) and John Leclair (Philadelphia), Pavol Demitra (St. Louis) and a few more. Domi is apparently not returning.
  8. Yeah, especially on girls
  9. Why are people writing crap about how much they hate racing games in a thread that's called "What is your favourite racing game?"? Can it get much clearer than that? If you don't like racing games, why on earth do you click on this thread?? Noone's interested in hearing about your hatred for racing games! Anyhow: Colin McRae Rally 2.0 (The feel of this game has not been surpassed, in my opinion) Burnout 3: Takedown (Over the top action, fun in split screen) Rally Trophy (Normal cars, classic cars and real tracks) Xpand Rally (Fantastic multiplayer over the internet and huge, free maps) Those are the titles I've played the most.
  10. I like them all! The only thing I could think of to complain about are the boobs on the sketched girl. They look too saggy! (Gee, that comment will make me even more popular) Also, I really like the artwork for Warcraft, but there are some details that disturb me. Like, for instance, the test tube (with the cork) the little professor holds in his hand. It looks 'squeezed' and not straight enough to be made of glass. Little details like that make the entire piece look somewhat sloppy, like you haven't paid enough attention to details. And I hate criticising (spelling?) people with more talent in their little finger than I have in my entire body.
  11. Nothing new under the sun, but Volourn is wrong again. It's actually the OPPOSITE of what he claims. When a player takes a salary drop to get a no-trade clause (which ANY player can get, not only star players), he is usually seen as a hero for the team and the fans. It shows loyalty and dedication above greed. Mats Sundin has (had? not sure what he has now) one of those clauses and believe me, there was not a single bad word about it on the Leafs official forum! Only praise.
  12. Divinity: Sword of Lies Not much better, perhaps, but at least not as stupid as Divine Divinity.
  13. Uh huh. I am still wondering how much sales Divine Divinity lost just because of the name (which wasn't the game's original name, but a name thought up by marketing executives..).
  14. Or maybe Toronto could pick up Hatcher.. hmm..
  15. I just saw the game trailer for Rogue Galaxy (PS2) and embarrasingly enough I now have to say it's on my wanted list. I hate when I fall for hype :"> To my defence, I have to add that it looks a lot like a japanese version of Knights of the Old Republic! Only with a lot more CGI and meaningless dialogue (just a guess)..
  16. On your feet, old thread! And take a shower, cause you smell of dead horse! Anyhow, new info about the PS3 was released in the last few days that I thought were interesting to read. Except for the fact that Kutaragi said the PS3 will be expensive. Considering the guy makes about a million per hour, expensive sounds bad. http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/07/22/news_6129611.html I was worried about programming on the PS3 being really difficult, but from reading this it seems developers are getting a LOT of help from Sony, who are taking the worries (and problems of new technology) really seriously. Just look at that list of middleware developers! It will be fun to hear what Starbreeze Studios (software company in my hometown, authors of Chronicles of Riddick) say when they finally get their developer's kit. Of course, none of this matters if the console is so expensive that everyone buys a Xbox 360 or Revolution instead.
  17. If Obsidian were to make a handheld game (DS or PSP) I'd probably be urged to buy one of those damn things. Especially the PSP looks pretty slick. I really hope they never try the mobile phone market though. In the last course I took at the university we had a guest lecture from a guy who worked in a mobile phone game company. He explained how they worked, how the phones work and how the SDK's for the different phones worked. Apparently the phones are full of undocumented bugs, weird occurances and horrible design decisions. Writing one game took like.. 3 weeks. Testing it and making sure it worked on 800 different phones took 3 months.
  18. I just dont understand why every game needs a 'subtitle'. Some games names do fine on their own. Boiling Point (:Road To Hell) springs to mind. And I absolutely hate when you go to some site where you can review games and you have a 200 word limit, and when you've typed the entire game title, half of those are spent already.
  19. At least Washington (or the Rangers) aren't controlled by a group of retired people that probably aren't aware that their retirement money is growing in a hockey club..
  20. The only webcomic I read is The Noob, which is a comic based on MMORPG's in general and World of Warcraft in particular. The first few episodes are really sharp, but I feel the story has been slacking in the last few episodes. I guess she (Gianna Masetti) is no Gary Larson who could go on for ages without repeating his jokes.
  21. I wear size 43, stylish jogging/leisure shoes from Bianco. They're light brown, with Adidas-resembling stripes on the sides, and outdoor football resembling soles. They're very comfortable, although my mom's dog ate one of the inner soles..
  22. 6 people are sitting in the safety behind their monitors at the time of writing this, saying they'd run towards a bomber if they saw him. Yeah, and your internet d!ck just grew 7 inches.
  23. I look good in red or purple, but the best colour is a special kind of pink.
  24. When two human beings meet and fall in love with each other, the gender has nothing to do with it. Only when you're trying to reproduce are you going to actually need one of each gender. When simply trying to express love or affection to another human being, there can't possibly be anything "wrong" with it, except in a social context. Why can't people just realize this and accept that this is none of their concern? Let people be who they are and do what they feel is right for them without having to judge them. I hate when hypocritic religious people say stuff like "I respect them and accept them, but they're wrong". So who is actually wrong here? The gay person loving his partner without bothering anyone (and definitely not judging anyone), or the religious person saying someone else is "wrong" (whatever that means) because a 2000 year old book says it's wrong?
  25. CRAP. Toronto deserves Crosby! If they could get him, his tender age of 17 would lower the average age of the Toronto roster from 42 to 41.6!!1! We'd feel like youngsters again! Oh well. Better luck next time.. in 10 years (or so, when the next phenomenon appears).
