If you're only going to use the last name, and that last name happens to be Molyneux, everyone will assume you're talking about Peter Molyneux (Populous, Black & White, Fable). Are you saying he is involved in King Kong somehow? Because I sure never heard about him having anything to do with Beyond Good & Evil.

Why am I not an option?

For once I'm going to say: download it! Bethesda hasn't rereleased it even once since 1996, and the copies that are on the market are going for 50-200$, depending on condition. It's insane that a 9 year old game is more expensive than a brand new game from 2005.

Funnest? But yeah, Daggerfall is one hell of a game, despite its bugs, endless dungeons and lack of real dialogue.

Volourn has been caught lying several times before. But you have to forgive him, he's a puny shrimp of a boy in real life and really needs to feel big on this board at least! Can't you give him that? Show some mercy!! I saw someone mentioned that the King Kong game is being made by Molyneaux's team.. But I though the guy who made Beyond Good & Evil was making the game (which looked rather good, last time I heard anything about it)? Edit: I remembered correctly! It's kind of sad when people can't see the difference between a good game or a good feature in a game. A party is as related to a good game as is the viewing angle of the camera. I never had a party in Fallout or Fallout 2. Still great games! I never much played the Baldur's Gate games (I never completed the first and the second one bored me to tears) but having a party in those two were like being stuck with a horde of sheep that blocked the entrance to every building you wanted to enter. I hated it. The party worked in KotOR (because they almost never got in the way) but I would much rather have played alone as my 'party' wasn't under my direct control and always wanted to attack in the dumbest ways.

What are your Ability Scores?

Nothing is preventing you. But the questions in that test vary from test to test, so you're not probable to get the same test twice. It would take some time to learn them all.. -
What are you playing ? (looking forward too)
mkreku replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Computer and Console
Playing: Boiling Point GTA: San Andreas Sacred Underworld (although I still haven't found the damn underworld!) Looking forward to: Fahrenheit Sad that there's only one game I'm interested in that's even visible on the horizon. -
Apparently, if you drink enough Mountain Dew your **** starts tasting like it.. Edit: Stupid filter and I don't know any other words for it that doesn't sound like it was taken from a bad porno.

What are your Ability Scores?
mkreku replied to 6 Foot Invisible Rabbit's topic in Pen-and-Paper Gaming
The average IQ is around 110 nowadays, if measured with a standard IQ-test. Most people have seen lots and lots of these tests before and therefore know what's expected of them and score slightly better than someone who has no clue what to expect. I didn't exactly forget about attribute modifiers, I just didn't know they existed. I don't remember them from my 2E D&D days. There's nothing statistical about my "analysis", I am merely trying to put the scores into perspective. The thread was originally about trying to translate your real life attributes to a d20, no? Also, I hardly consider division and multiplication as going to "considerable lengths".. -

The way I see it is that 18 is as high as is humanly possible. The highest recorded result is like 210 IQ. I believe that might be the human max (at least so far), thus would equal 18 in the D&D scale. To make it easy for myself, I let the scale go from 1-18 (not 3-18), which would mean 1 point D&D equals ~11.667 IQ in real life. As a normal human being has 10 in D&D it would mean ~116.67, which is a result well within what is considered normal. I gave myself a 12, which would represent an IQ of 140 in the real world. Strangely enough I ended up very close to that on the test. But then we have these guys claiming to have 15, 16, 17.. 15*11.667 = 175 IQ 16*11.667 = ~187 IQ 17*11.667 = ~198 IQ If you've ever spent time with a real genius, you quickly realize you're not one. -
I switched from my Nvidia to an ATI because my Nvidia sucked for old games. I used to have ten different driver packs for my Nvidia, where the oldest was something like 29.xx or 30.xx because you NEVER knew which one would work with an older game. Nowadays I just use whatever ATI releases. And I have no problems whatsoever getting The Longest Journey to start. Do you have the version with swedish or english voiceovers?

MMA is correct. Pride Championship to be more precise. Well done! The guy to the left is Alexander Emelianenko. He's a heavyweight who's steadily been climbing the ranks for the last two or three years. He is currently ranked among the top ten. The guy in the middle, Fedor Emelianenko (Yes, they are brothers), is the reigning heavyweight champion, and is considered by most as the best Pride heavyweight fighter of all time, despite his beer belly. I'm not sure yet, but his style, technique and sportsmanship has made him my favourite fighter. He is currently sporting a 21-1-0 record (The one loss came from a doctor's stoppage when he was accidently cut 16 seconds into a fight some years back). Some people also think he's a machine or a cyborg, developed by the russian army to scare the living crap out of the entire world. I'm still undecided. (Watch the Fedor - Randleman fight if you're wondering why people believe that). The guy on the right is Sergei Kharitonov. He is a young guy (only 23, I think), but only about a week ago he absolutely demolished the former UFC heavyweight champion Pedro Rizzo. Granted, Rizzo hadn't fought in two years, but Kharitonov made him look like a punching bag. UFC is the american version of MMA, and this brutal loss for Rizzo was not exactly good publicity for the UFC. Anyhow, Kharitonov is fearless, extremely well trained, has excellent hands and can hold his own on the ground. I believe he will be the biggest threat for Fedor in a couple of years. My third favourite is a croatian guy called Mirko 'Crocop' Filipovic (not in the picture). His trademark move is his left leg, or as he himself describes it (in broken english): "Right leg, hospital. Left leg, cemetary.". The ever growing line of hospitalized heavyweights who've met this guy in the ring would probably not argue against that rather cheesy quote (In his last fight, he kicked this huge russian guy in the ribs twice. The first kick sent the russian reeling. The second broke his ribs.). On August 28 Crocop will finally get his shot at the Pride heavyweight belt, as he will meet Fedor for the first time ever. It will be The MMA fight of the century. I can barely wait. Ps. As a side note: Andrei Arlovski is the reigning UFC heavyweight champion.. A russian dominating the american version too.. Edit: Something for the ladies + Volourn (they seem to like Arlovski's looks):

What are your Ability Scores?

Anyhow, good to see someone stepped up to the plate. I'd love to see one of the guys claiming to have 15-17 int do the same. I am expecting results above 150 consistently. -
There's one other 'sport' I'm interested in, and if you can identify any of the persons on this picture, you'll know which sport I mean and you've won yourself a smiley of my choice!! Two of those guys are my favourites in this mystery sport. One of them isn't. There's a third guy who I also admire, but he isn't on this picture.

This is one of the reasons I quit playing World of Warcraft: they introduced these Epic armour sets that only the best player killers in the game would be able to get hold of. Naturally, since I love player killing, I thought that was a goal I should set out to aim for. Unfortunately, the system works by giving players "pvp points" not by killing opponents one-on-one, but in large scale battles of 40 vs. 40. In battles of that scale, it does not matter one bit if you have good equipment, good reflexes or a talent for adapting to what you're dealt with. If 30 people bombard you with spells and ranged weapons, even if you're a paladin you WILL die within seconds. Also, the pvp-points system is somewhat secretive, but it quickly dawned for everyone that it was never about player killing skill, only about the amount of time you were willing to spend online. Since you can go on a raid (the WoW word for mass PvP), not do anything, die a few times and still get lots and lots of pvp-points because your team mates did a lot of killing, I quickly lost interest.

What are your Ability Scores?

I finished it. But you're right, the average forum monkey will likely not take that the entire test, once the questions become difficult. That's also why it would be interesting to see people's results, since everyone claims to have 16-17 int. I'd say those numbers are a classic case of the 'internet d1ck' syndrome.. -
Did you know that around 80% of the general Microsoft Windows users use 800x600 as their screen resolution? Why, you ask. Well, Windows default screen resolution is 800x600 and most of these users don't even know that the option to change resolution exists... It doesn't take 40 minutes if you're intelligent. You can click through it all in a couple of minutes. The limit is 40 minutes. There's a huge difference.
