I always get my games with just the DVD's (or CD's) and sometimes a manual. But then again, they're free so I shouldn't complain. My CD rack does look a bit suspicious though, as there are like hundreds of white CD's there with only a little black text distinguishing them. I stopped doing it that way now though, it takes up too much space and becomes too expensive in the long run. Instead I buy these CD-albums that have pockets (almost like photo albums). Much more practical and cheaper too.

I thought they could only go to arbitration once in their career under the new CBA? Why do it already if that's the case? I don't see the logic.

Just a quick update: Boiling Point: Road To Hell patch v2.0 A tiny little patch, only ~197 Mb I am downloading it myself right now, so I haven't been able to try it yet, but the changelog mentions lots of fixes. The best ones are: "-Car dynamics / helicopter dynamics Cars : better realism when a car hits the player or the -Non Playable Character, better behaviour of IA in trucks or cars. -Car's disappearance" When you parked a car, it used to just disappear when you walked too far from it. Highly annoying. Apparently the car stays put now. Also, everything had a very stiff feel to it when you drove it, I'm hoping they have fixed that. But I saved the best change for last though: "-Shadows of dogs" No idea what it means, but it was fixed. Yay! :D

Not sure I'll be BUYING anything, but coming up on my review horizon are: Fahrenheit F.E.A.R. And our website is down at the moment (server change) so those two are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

Did anyone bother with the movie? I thought the game looked mighty promising in that one.. RPG features, destructible environments, 90 real life weapons (yay!) and a 3D version of Jagged Alliance 2-resembling graphics. Even the small dots marking your chosen path reminded me of Jagged Alliance..

This guy has a SERIOUS unibrow! Maybe that's why he needs three of those night vision thingies? The unibrow wants to see in the dark too!

Hammer & Sickle seems to be a strategy RPG set in post-war Europe, using the Silent Storm engine. There's a narrated preview movie to download (link below) and to me it sure looks like this could be somewhat close to Jagged Alliance 2 (probably the only strategy RPG I've ever liked). I just remembered that System Shock 2 has multiplayer! If you can find System Shock 2, it's really worth it as it's a great game, and the co-op is very needed as the game is way too scary without a friend who can watch your back.

I think it was when Bertuzzi grabbed the unconscious Moore and slammed him headfirst into the ice that he broke his neck. I downloaded the incident today and watched it several times. The sucker punch made Moore's knees buckle, but it was the headslam that really hurt him.

They're testing 1%. That means 1 out of 100 cows. To me that's like not testing at all. Mad cow disease is not an epidemic, it doesn't spread easily, so the chances of finding one of the sick cows are extremely limited. BUT.. it only takes ONE sick cow to contaminate vast amounts of meat (depending on how they're being slaugthered). I did not deliberately slant anti-US sentiments, I just figured that everyone would agree with 1% being so useless it could be equated to nothing. I think it's because mad cow disease is such a horrible disease that people are worried. I mean, we have no cure for it and if you got it today, it would probably take 10 years before anyone (even yourself) noticed. It leads to an extremely painful and degrading death. I once sat on a bus when two extremely hot women (they must have been models) sat on the two seats in front of me. I was like "WOO!!" to myself as it was a long trip and some eye candy has never hurt anyone. After 3 hours of listening to their "OMGAAAWD! NO WAY! OMGAAAAAWD! SHE'S LIKE.. AND I WAS LIKE.. OMGAAAAWD!! *GIGGLEGIGGLEGIGGLE*" on cell phones and between each other, all I wanted to do was punch them both in the face. With a chainsaw. On nitromethane.

So what do you guys think about the NHL reinstating Bertuzzi already? Personally I think it sucks. Bertuzzi broke a guys neck on purpose, missed 13 regular season games, 7 play-off games and now is back as if nothing happened? It's uncertain whether Steve Moore will be able to play again. "With the Avalanche ahead 8-2 in the game at Vancouver, Bertuzzi grabbed Moore from behind, punched him on the side of his head and then landed on top of Moore, driving his head into the ice. The bloodied Colorado player was removed on a stretcher." I still vividly remember that incident. Now that's a 'roid rage moment if there ever was one!

Haha! :D But I agree with whoever it was that mentioned the average voice-acting. I was actually very surprised to hear such unenthusiastic voice actors in a big budget production like this! I just forgot to mention it in my former posts. I wish all games could have voice overs like GTA: San Andreas..

One thing they DIDN'T fix (at least in the demo) is how confined the maps feels. I hate how I'm looking more at the mini-map to see where the edges of the map are, than the actual window portraying the landscape. Also, it's too easy to find anything hidden as it shows up on the mini-map long before you'd find it in the game world. With that super-nice streaming map loading mechanism they have, why not make the maps somewhat more complex? And larger? And less boxed in? I read that they were adressing that problem (a long time ago, after people had complained about it in Dungeon Siege) but the demo showed none of that.

Maybe Romero made Sawyer his bitch..?
