  1. Hmm. I wonder if I still have my review copy of that game lying around. I mean, who wouldn't want to be target practice for a gang of bored developers?
  2. Leafs against Sharks tonight. Great. Just when the Sharks have been revitalized by the Thornton trade. Oh well. At least Boston seems to be revitalized too )
  3. I almost feel sorry for Huselius. He's banned from playing in Sweden, because of some sex scandal. He's banned from the national team because of the same incident. Keenan has always hated him for some reason, and now they're practically mocking his trade to Calgary in the big hockey news agencies. Nice. Kristian Huselius is one of those players that are a perfect fit in swedish hockey. When he played in the Swedish Elite League he was racking up points and goals like there was no tomorrow. Everyone in Sweden thought he'd be a perfect fit in the new NHL this season, but strangely enough that doesn't seem to be the case. He almost completely lacks a physical game but compensates with a high skill level. He should be a perfect fit in the improved NHL, but apparently he's not. Let's just hope he gets a chance to redeem himself in Calgary.
  4. Leafs win again! Tellquist got a shut-out and rookie Steen added a goal to his collection. Apparently the referees were quite uneven again, but the NHL have been sending out signals that they are planning on buying the best referees from the international leagues in the coming years. I'd love that to happen! Bruins beat Ottawa. Not only that, Ottawa didn't even score a goal.. Wow.. When was the last time that happened? Too bad Heatley's impressive points streak had to end. Sturm seems to be a good fit in Boston already.
  5. Alfredsson named offensive player of the month. Nice! They hadn't forgotten about him after all )
  6. We've had this discussion on Spel
  7. To be honest, I didn't have any high expectations when I downloaded the demo either. I, too, have a few prejudices against german games.. I thought the demo looked promising. Granted, I never tried stealing anything from anyone, I just trained my constitution, weapons, design and picklock skills. The voice overs were a little inconsistant, but I can live with that. The story didn't have time to develop in the demo so I can't say much about it, but it felt like it could be interesting (the demo ended just before you got a chance to go to the prison colony, something that at least sounded cool). I liked being able to build my own equipment, the combat suited my playing style (damage depending on my character, but I must hit the opponent myself) and I kind of liked the graphics, at least on the characters. Still, Morgoth seems to have played the retail game so I'll trust his words.
  8. Weird. Neuro Hunter isn't on this list. Where did it come from all of a sudden..?
  9. I recently downloaded a demo of an upcoming 3D RPG called Neuro Hunter, and I was pleasantly surprised. It plays as Deus Ex, in that you have skills that you upgrade and the combat is FPS style (but with more melee), but it also resembles Arx Fatalis, with its world interaction and item constructing skills. The name is almost as bad as Gothic (I almost didn't pick up that game because of the name), but it's actually a decent game and the demo is well worth trying. 10. Uhm.. I was checking the stats in the Flyers-Devils game.. Check out who assisted on Patrick Sharp's goal Not bad getting an assist.. A few years after you retire!
  11. Wow! That's a gigantic trade, and so unexpected! Sturm has never really been as good as people say, I've always felt some of his popularity comes from his name.. Primeau was a great player in the old NHL. I don't know how good he is in the new, ballerina NHL. Brad Stuart I know nothing about. Still.. I know the Bruins are off to a rather weak start, but trading their biggest franchise player and captain to boot?! Wow.. Just wow. I hope Toronto don't make a habit of losing too much (lost against Tampa tonight). I'd hate to see Sundin end up in.. Florida or something
  12. And people wonder why grown-ups have a certain reluctancy to playing a Nintendo game..
  13. Are you saying that a Santa outfit should have been in the game to start with? But I see your point. Microsoft are claiming that Xbox Live Silver is free, but in reality all you get are free ads for all the stuff they want you to buy. Gee, imagine that.. Getting free commercials!!1 Now that's generous Microsoft for you.
  14. I accidently watched a trailer for Bloodrayne My brain will never be the same again.
  15. Ottawa wins again. Alfredsson, Spezza and Heatley score like 90% of the team's goals (points) again. One thing that's odd though is how every article I read about the Alfredsson/Spezza/Heatley line is all about Heatley and Spezza. They barely mention Alfredsson for some reason. It's like he's not even part of the line when it comes to the praise (which bothers me endlessly by the way.. stop praising Ottawa, they will still choke in the playoffs, stupid hockey journalists!). Why is that? Anyhow.. Toronto are taking on the reigning champs tonight. Luckily for us, the reigning champs aren't exactly playing as champs right now. Except for Modin. Modin, the guy who once used to play for the Leafs but was deemed too lazy, has been a scoring machine in the last three (or so) games. I'm scared
  16. The NHL thread still says it's a female. I trust the NHL thread.
  17. Uh.. I think everyone in the NHL thread were aware of that fact.. At least once a month
  18. I love snow. I love snow in games. I love throwing snowballs at my girlfriend.
  19. Are you sure you're on the right forum for this sort of verbal bulimia and nonsense bitterness?
  20. On May 9 2006, actually. Source: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6140464.html
  21. It was almost the same experience for me. It wasn't until I got a chance to play Resident Evil 4 on both consoles that I started to notice a difference. Aiming my guns felt so much more.. intuitive (for lack of a better word) on the Gamecube than it ever does on my Playstation 2. On the Playstation 2 it's a game of trying to press the fire button when you pass over the object you want to hit. On the Gamecube it felt more like I was placing the crosshair rather than just passing it over stuff. I used to be quite happy with my Playstation 2 controllers too. Damn you, Gaycube!
  22. Toronto beat Florida tonight. Not a very convincing victory though, and the Leafs were lucky that Belfour was having one of his more consistent nights in a long while. Must be nice for his old self esteem to outplay Luongo.
  23. That's odd. http://www.webhallen.com/prod.php?id=7713
  24. I would rank the Gamecube controller first (excellent analogue sticks), the PS2 second and the original Xbox controller last. I never understood why Microsoft placed the black & white buttons so ergonomically awkward..
  25. I buy all my games from Webhallen, which is a great online store. Excellent library of games (found Planescape: Torment, Fallout & Fallout 2, both Icewind Dale's, both Baldur's Gate's and Gothic 2 there) and they are very fast deliverers. When you preorder games from there you usually get the game one or two days before they appear in stores! The weird thing is that they also have great prices, compared to most other stores around too. Triple jackpot!
