  1. Looks like he'll probably achieve his goal though, power to him but it's not my thing.
  2. Matt Stone and Trey Parker... Matt Stone and Trey Parker... Matt Stone and Trey Parker!!!
  3. I've no idea why you'd want to run Windows 7 on a netbook, it's quite obviously going to run like a dog unless you have some cutting edge netbook with a ton of RAM.
  4. My problem with this statement is that it's a meme that the media have promoted since before he even entered the race
  5. I'm pretty sure more people are on the MCA/Tim Cain train than Fargo (Hell, I really think they could make more than the Double Fine Kickstarter looking at forums). And they could also capitalize not only on Fallout but Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale and so on. I really doubt thats an issue. I'm not saying that MCA and Tim Cain wouldn't have huge pulling power, it's just that I don't think they could pull off a Double Fine...asking for money with absolutely no concept outlined, if Fargo didn't have the Wasteland name and a clear goal I really doubt they'd have gotten this much support.
  6. The only face mod I know of for Origins is the popular one which removes the Down's Syndrome look from most of the characters, beyond that I don't know of any which specifically make the characters more like their DA2 counterparts.
  7. I suspect the issue is that Obsidian need something with more pizazz than simply MCA working on a text heavy RPG, Double Fine sold me their Kickstart with the prospect of two adventure game legends of my childhood working together again, inXile sold it because of Fargo's heritage and the connection between Wasteland and Fallout. Obsidian will get my money regardless but for epic megabucks I think they probably do need a bigger hook...I'm sure they're working on it.
  8. Or Google?
  9. I never completed it, Deus Ex:HR came out and then Battlefield 3, Skyrim was the death blow, it's a shame because it's a good game, I'll no doubt go back to it once it's had the final updates.
  10. I decided to give $50, way more than the $15 I gave to Double Fine and I took some time to think about it, point and click adventures are endangered but turn based RPG's are nearly extinct, now I just need Obsidian to get their arses in gear, I'll give $100 for something in the same vein as PST. It's up to almost half a million dorra now
  11. Ten hours into Honest Hearts and so far it's the best DLC I've played, full stop, better than all of Bethesda's, it's got great characters and an intriguing situation all stuffed into a cool location, plus I've got plenty of stuff left to see. I don't have a bad thing to say, assuming it doesn't end up in a derpy rushed conclusion
  12. Maybe it's related to this?
  13. Ha, the total has doubled since I last looked a few hours ago, I reckon it's in the bag.
  14. I'll shove some money in this kitty when I get home, I don't have much of a connection to Wasteland but I figure it deserves my support for inspiring one of my favourite gameworlds
  15. Last I looked there were quite a few mods that I'd love to try next time around, especially the one that overhauls dragons and gives them more...dragon shouts, strange that Bethesda missed that one The thing I miss from Oblivion isn't necessarily the random conversations but the way NPC's actually travelled from town to town, it was pointless but I liked it.
  16. Played a few hours of Honest Hearts tonight, love the environment to bits, the world design is all quite elegant and a big step up from Dead Money, I'm liking Joshua Graham but I kind of miss his "cursed character" concept from the Fallout Bible, maybe his cracks will start showing when I get deeper into it. I really like Follows Chalk as a companion, his tribal perspective on old world locations is great For some reason my carry limit hasn't been dropped, maybe something to do with Sawyer's mod or the Community Fix Pack, not a big deal.
  17. I don't remember enemies chasing me out of a dungeon and into the world like they did in Oblivion, it does seem that Bethesda ditched Radiant AI for Skyrim, as broken and pointless as it was I did like seeing NPC's travelling around the world to meet eachother, even if they just talked about mudcrabs. Stability is probably one reason for it, crashes were the bane of my existence in Oblivion but Skyrim didn't crash once in 150 hours.
  18. But Caesar isn't that stupid and his men are pretty much trained to sacrifice themselves on his orders, I'm thinking maybe his brain tumour is screwing with his judgement or something, even then I would have thought one of his craftier subordinates might have have stepped in. *edit* Oh, 45 hours in and no crashes, seems those patched optimisations are doing their job, even if I do miss Hoover Dam's water jets and those booby trapped troopers near Forlorn hope.
  19. I'm curious if anyone ever came up with a rationale for Caesar not bothering to have you escorted all the way into the bunker, he seems rather shortsighted for a great military strategist
  20. I just played my longest round of Battlefield 3, it took almost two hours and was probably the most epic battle I've had in the Metro, my team was on the verge of losing several times but we finally managed to push them right back for the final slaughter. There were several moments of epic where I dived into combat with just my defibrillator, recovering four or five guys before hitting the ground like a sack full of bullets, I'm a suicide medic
  21. Getting through Frostflow Lighthouse with my low level warrior was tough, those Chaurus things give me the creeps for some reason so I ran most of the way.
  22. Deary me, so very glad I ditched the Radeon last year.
  23. Yeah, go full fat SSD, it's the single most noticeable upgrade I've done in years.
  24. Nice vid, it will get me through the next hour or two while I feel like death.
