I've only tried absinthe once, I didn't get any visuals but it helped to get me outrageously hammered.

Especially considering how gorgeous the Numenera art has been. Then again they might surprise us and make this beautiful, bizarre 3D environment for us to rest our eyes on Precisely, Numenera does have some really lovely, intricate art, maybe they can do this justice in 3D but the poly count would be extreme for a niche game, some examples would be great but I feel way more confident about 2D when it comes to these things.

I mean whether they're going with a Wasteland 2 or a Project Eternity approach, a Torment sequel screams to be made in 2D, but that's just my opinion.

I tried the better quest objectives mod over a year ago but it was a bit rough, Have they sorted out the grammar and spelling yet?

I keep liking what I hear but I do wish Avellone could get involved, this and the lack of engine info are holding me back.

Definitely a classic, I got the restored ending version ages ago but haven't found the time to watch it

Yeah it was a really busy day so we had to be careful about fishermen and walkers, in all honesty I think if anyone had interrupted I'd have thrown them in the lake too.

Yeah, I'd imagine.. I'm guessing it just tastes "ashy" But glad to hear you got to follow through with your fathers wishes, I'm sure it'll grant a measure of peace for you in the future. It's halfway between chalk dust and the smell of a dentist drilling your back teeth, I didn't expect it to fill the air quite so much, I could feel it on my face and hands, the odd thing is I didn't mind, it's just a thing. It's a nice thought that I'll be able to visit the lake and know that he's part of the ecosystem there, he joked about being eaten by the ducks, in fact one did swim over for a peck.

Hmm, I want to read a book with lasers and swords, speedballing my fiction would be quite a thing

I spread my dad's ashes today, we found the grounds of the country house where he was born and spread half there, the other half on the shore of a lake that he loved, I don't feel much closure but it's nice that we could do what he wanted, it's an odd thing to smell and taste human ashes, there's an unavoidable plume that comes with chalky powder being thrown into the air on a breezy day, mental

On the subject of the Vertex 2's, I've been using mine for about two years and it's seen heavy use, so far I've not had any problems and it still gets the proper benchmarks when freshly formatted

I've not been keeping track, is it a foregone conclusion that Torment will be using Unity in a similar fashion to Wasteland 2? I've been quite attached to the idea of any Torment sequel being more like Project Eternity, maybe they can translate the intricate Numenera art style to 3D but I'm just not sure yet I'll feel a bit like a traitor if I don't back this project but I'm still uncertain about it, I know Avellone has given it his blessing but I'd like to see him get involved at some point, it'd definitely ease some of my concerns.

Still watching the Dune 2000 mini series, ehhh it's ok, still not feeling much weight in the scenes but quite a few of the actors are well chosen...one thing I did notice, where have all the beards gone?

I'm nearing the end of Dune Messiah and still thoroughly enjoying it, just reached the nuke blasted eyes/prescient awareness bit, so damn cool I've been meaning to check out Hyperion for years, I'll bump it up my list.

Which Dune? The movie or that mini-series? The mini-series was slightly better than the film but the film had Sting in green plastic undies, so it's kind of a toss up. The David Lynch movie, as an adaptation it made my brain scream but it wasn't the worst film I've ever seen, the visuals kept me watching at least...Sting not included Lynch did manage to capture the atmosphere of Dune universe pretty well, despite the many changes, so I found the movie pretty palatable overall. And some book parts were executed to perfection. You're not wrong, many scenes were perfect but then they tear out 30 pages and jump to another scene where the actors clearly don't have a clue what they're doing, it goes on like that right up to the ending, it's a shame. I started watching the mini-series last night, it seems more faithful to the pace of the books but it lacks Lynch's gravitas, the guild navigator scene was almost as teeth grindingly ridiculous as the movie though

I watched Dune last night, after reading the book I found it utterly infuriating, the sheer incompetence of some scenes had me staring at the screen slackjawed, there were a few cool moments but it was mostly gibberish, this is one movie that deserves a remake. Sliders started off as a great series. There were a lot of really fun ideas to it and the episodes, and the characters blended together quite nicely. But yes, unfortunately, as time went on things got a little.. weird and convoluted. And it all kind of fell apart. I watched Sliders again recently and I have to agree, it starts off great but it's just blatantly insulting my intelligence towards the end

Still enjoying Oblivion regardless of it's flaws, so many flaws...but I still find the bastardised LOTR representation of Cyrodiil strangely relaxing.

Ahh gotcha, I should follow the official forum more closely but I don't want to know too much about how the blood sausage is made, thanks for clarification on the clarification.

I finished Dune this week, it was brilliant but I think I might end up liking the sequels more, I tend to prefer stories that happen in the wake of something epic rather than the actual event itself, I started reading Dune Messiah and so far it's panning out just as I expected...horribly

Once again drinking my mum's port and smoking heavily but this time my dad's ashes are sitting in the room, leading up to his death I had dreams similar to this...never say your dreams can't come true eh?
-
Yeah I'm glad they clarified how it works, I'm actually quite pleased with the concept.

I love Steam for the sales but I do ultimately feel like I'm renting the games, when we can finally transfer digital licences (in general, not just Steam) I'll feel far better about digital distribution.

My first kidney stone was the worst pain I've ever had, beating a fortnight of toothache, I thought I was dying and got rushed off to hospital, eventually it passed and the pain just melted away...so quickly that I almost felt a fool for causing such a fuss, I've had quite a few since then but none so agonizing thank god *edit* I held my dad's ashes today...****ing weird s'all I can say.

That video was way funnier than it had any right to be, Gamespot made me laugh?
