  1. Janelle, post this in the Public Beta forum .... Ziplines aren't in the Release Build yet. you'll have a better chance of the Devs and Staff seeing this in the correct forum
  2. I have suggested exactly this before ... would LOVE to see this
  3. From the Post Suggestion : Praying Mantis by Snabbaronen
  4. that's just creepy .... why would some of your character data be tied to an account login .... and the rest not be with save games being tied to a Cloud service I'd think that you'd have to be signed in anyway ... but this sounds like a serious issue that should be moved to the BUGS section .... not Suggestions
  5. I've watched videos and streams of so many people having trouble with their constructions collapsing, and they rage and scream and make posts here in the forums .... But they ALL make the same mistake. I've never had anything I've built fall apart .... but then ..... I've never built anything out of Grass. Grass is for floors, and stairs .... nothing else. Build with Stone, Clay, and Stem. and your structure will not fall.
  6. This is the kind of thing that makes people stop playing the game. Instantly, and Forever. I played ShadowBane when it first came out. ShadowBane was the first MMO where you could make your own buildings and towns. In fact, you HAD to ... the entire world was empty, there was only a single Dev made town and it was tiny. So you went out, and collected materials and saved and went to the Starter Town .. and bought a Tree of Life Seed. Took that to where you wanted to build a town and planted it, and nourished it so it would grow. As your Tree of Life grew, it expanded the radius you could build your town in. The town I was in was very small, only 25 players. It took us 6 months to build up to being a decent small town with services and ships worth visiting. And eventually we did have visitors ..... but they were not interested in shopping. They attacked our town. and the town that it took us 6 months of hard work to build..... it took them 3 hours to reduce it to ashes, Killing our Tree, and our Town flag disappeared from the World Map. Of the 25 Subscription Paying Players from that town ..... only one of them had Not cancelled their game subscription by the next day. Only one of them ever logged into the game again.
  7. The only real problem with that is managing the code to upgrade a "Building" that was not made as a single piece, but of individual non-identical parts. You could make it so that there was a upgrade for each wall, floor, foundation .... but that would be just as tedious as the original construction ... and in many cases impossible to get to some of the parts of a completed Structure, without building scaffolding around it just so you could reach it all. I just don't see anyway to upgrade an entire structure built with the system we have now .... that doesn't involve basically rewriting the entire Building Construction Code from scratch ..... it would be a nightmare.
  8. I'd be Totally happy with this .... not only would that be more reasonable ... it would give me a new thing to build ... lol
  9. I'm fairly certain there is some ~Emergent Behavior~ from the Spawn Timer Code. I myself have killed the 3 Weavers that inhabit the area along the Roses near the stone wall, and had them respawn on top of me before I was done picking up the loot the first 3 dropped at my feet. I've also killed all 3 and watched an In-Game Month pass before they respawned. I'm not sure if that was since the last patch. I haven't really kept track of it.
  10. I'd like to see weather ... and seasons .... but I'd prefer it if was more of a mood setting enhancement ... adding more and more layers of extreme survival concerns would remove a LOT of the lighthearted entertainment of the game.
  11. Psssst ...... There's a Heart Icon in the corner of the Post (and in every comment) for this exact purpose.
  12. This was NOT the case when the game first released. Nothing despawned, ever. Games were crashing purely from the amount of grass fiber laying on the ground from cutting grass ... I'm not positive if that is stable and working for everyone or not. I know a lot of people are still having trouble with Grass and Stems NOT Respawning after they've been cut. Some players say you need to cut down the base for it to respawn, and others say if you cut down the base that is what prevents it from respawning ... We kinda need some feedback from the Devs on what it's SUPPOSED to do ... so that we players can report on what is not working properly. At the moment, that topic is mostly a lot or hearsay and panic. But the Spawning/Despawning Conversation .... still has NOTHING to do with the Fact, That I can put 300 Pebbets the ~size of a players head~ in a tiny Acorn Chest But only 24 Stems/Planks on what is essentially a Cargo Pallet. And if I just throw stems between 2 Uncut Grass Stalks roughly the distance of a Pallet ... I can fit at least 3 Pallets worth of Stem in that space. We just want better storage, without having to build a warehouse the size of the Piknik Table to hold the same amount of Stems as you can put Pebbets, in 5 Acorn Chests.
  13. If you don't want to lose your Perks and Unlocks .... Stop Starting Over.
  14. Insects aren't tamable. They are creatures of pure instinct, they eat and look for food. Nothing Else .... You're just food to them. Also ... and honestly more important .... not every game needs to have taming in it if you add all the other **** that every other game has in it ... what do you have ... the same thing as every other game ... just with new art ... I don't want to play a game ..... for new art I want something different .... and right now ... a game WITHOUT taming ... is different
  15. if you build your structures with Foundations, connected to the world ... and not just a grass floor jutting out of something .... they rarely ever collapse and fall apart ... no matter what you delete
  16. This is a Very Serious request that all games should take into consideration.
  17. well thought out and detailed .... I like it .. but I feel it may be more detail management than the Devs intend with this game
  18. for the size ... the only thing that we're "knocking to the side" is a Yard Mite .... that's NOT going happen, nor is it a child or young martial arts students first reaction .... the first instinctual reaction is TO DODGE ... to get out of the way, not to stand there and try and "take it" ... that's a Trained Reaction Blocking is a natural reaction with a weapon. Tho instinctually with no training ... most people are pretty bad at it. The "Perfect Block" thing exists almost exclusively in gaming ... in actual fighting .... performing a perfect block in order to stun or even damage the attacker ... is an extremely high end skill in most weapon fighting .... you're in a blocking stance pretty much the ENTIRE TIME except when you're attacking .. which is also completely natural and instinctive .... to keep the weapon as best as possible between you and your opponent Which is what the spear and long spear are all about .... Distance learning to Manage Distance is one of the earliest and most important lessons in weapon training and everyone has their own Comfort Zone ... most people prefer a bit of distance ... some people like it real up close and personal but that's fighting other people ... not giant bugs ... when fighting something completely unknown ... almost everyone tends to like a bit more distance than normal
  19. There is already Moss in the game, you just can't harvest it ... the tufts of green on rocks and branches ... mostly near The Hedge and near The Pond. There are already some pretty LARGE areas of moss around the corner of the Flooded Zone nearest to Secret Lab. I've been wanting to be able to harvest them for a LONG TIME ..... I'd love to see things like a Moss Roof .... and a Moss Rug I do like the Ghillie Suit idea ..... but I think Dry Leaf would just make too much noise probably be good with Moss, Berry Leather, and Woven Fiber give a base reduction to being spotted at all times when wearing pieces ... with Full Stealth only available in the Full Suit Armor Bonus ...
  20. I don't mind the Scaffolding showing through slightly .... it looks like structural support .. I kinda like it ... but the Door annoy me ... Also ... if you put two doors together ... you (and any bug small enough ~ this includes Worker Ants) can walk through the center where the frames from each door connects
  21. Totally Agree ..... why should anyone care what you do with or in your own game ... But if there are Achievements .... turn them off in Creative .. and Maybe Easy ..... or ... more reasonable ... as was said .. tag the save file if Difficulty has been changed ... and certain Achievements can only be completed in Hard/Whoa games that have never changed difficulty
  22. While you're correct about Surface Tension there's no actual membrane. It's just that water molecules "want" to be bonded to other water molecules. At the surface, they run into air not other water, so they bond stronger to any nearby water molecules. I don't think however this would force you below the water ...
  23. Many other games do this or something very similar .... it would be a cool addition ... the primary change is making these things connected to the Player .. and not the Game Save they would have to make decisions on how much crosses over .... is it just Quests and Raw Science Do you take your Inventory? Do you take your own crafting unlocks? It does kind of open a Pandora's Box of questions .... But I love the premise of giving an incentive to group up in Multi-Player ... so that we're not killing 5 Bombardiers in my game .. then in Timmies game, then in Greg's game... but NOT in Shawn's game .. cause he ONLY gets the Analyze Ant Egg Quest .... but never gets Ant Eggs so Shawn can't do quests at all
