  1. It's all about expectations. I expected a lot of Twitcher 2, and it turned out a major disappointment. I expected nothing from DA 2 and Deux Ex, and enjoyed both greatly.
  2. LA wasn't yet complete **** around when KOTOR came out. They didn't want BioWare to use one of their established book characters and turn her into a haughty, bumbling joke of a Jedi, yet about ten years later they allowed movie characters to be beaten like a bunch of pussies by some emo freak.
  3. They seemed to do increased damage. Or instant kills. Agreed parry could take out a quarter or more of HP, it was actually one of my favorite skills. Yes, but that works about a third of the time. Mostly you fail the counter, even with perfect timing. Yeah, which made that dream sequence where you had to play as random footmen and the mighty hero of Aedirn, so much fun.
  4. In before Prosper.
  5. What's interesting is that BioWare actually wanted to use Vima Sunrider in KOTOR, but LucasArts wouldn't let them. Hence, BioWare came up with Bastila Shan. Shows how much LucasArts cares about game canon.
  6. Witcher 2 combat made Risen combat seem like Ninja Gaiden.
  7. They should've hired Sean Connery to voice the dragons.
  8. Drew Karpyshyn I had no idea he wrote the Darth Bane novels.
  9. I play with German voice-overs, the main characters are voiced by professional dubbers for Hollywood actors. I did a Let's Play of that game a while back.
  10. People don't get how big Zenimax really is. Practically all of Hollywood showed up for the Fallout 3 launch party Considering their board of directors, it's no wonder they can get the celebrities they get.
  11. Strange thing, I have tons of weapons stored in the Lucky 38, but I tend to just stick to Ratslayer and Lucky, and maybe brush gun for a big enemy. I gave all new DLC weapons to companions.
  12. It's the norm nowadays for celebrities or pseudo-celebrities to appear in video games. Patrick Stewart doing voice-work in a game isn't all that special, really. He's been in Lands of Lore and almost every Star Trek game every made. At least he has an imposing and recognizable voice. In many cases, I do not even recognize celebrities in video games.
  13. What is this I don't even...
  14. Because they can?
  15. Kreia was only theoretically blind.
  16. Enclave Radio - Stars and Stripes forever Enclave Radio - Yankee Doodle Damn catchy tunes.
  17. Ulysses has been described as "Rasta Kreia" elsewhere, that seems appropriate.
  18. Skyrim's star-studded cast I only care that Lynda Carter and Wes Johnson are back.
  19. Wheres mah Chinese assault rifle?
  20. Come to think of it, that Deus Ex branching "tree" could be re-used for Twitcher 2.
  21. Demon Stone is good for one playthrough. Playing the rogue is fun. No idea, though, wtf Patrick Stewart is doing in that game.
  22. See, there shouldn't even be a comparison with action games. Elder Scrolls had a tradition of stat based gameplay before Oblivion. If Morrowind actually had parry and dodge animations for when your attack missed (like in Drakensang or Neverwinter Nights), nobody would ever have complained that they didn't hit anything at close range or their weapon passing through the enemy and we could still have had stat-based first-person combat. Or at least, they could have introduced a full third-person version with Age of Conan mechanics. Then again, I play as mage anyway.
  23. Son, why you metagaming?
