Eh? They're all very useful for a magic aligned character. Illusion -> Charm, Paralyze, Chameleon, Invisibility (finishing all Oblivion gates in 2 minutes) Alteration -> Shield, Feather, Open Lock, Water walking, Water breathing, (Levitate) Mysticism -> Dispel, Soultrap, Reflect spell, Absorb spell, Detect life, Telekinesis

I rather give my money straight to Bethesda than sending private information to some shady Russians.

The soundtrack seems a mish-mash of Oblivion and Morrowind ambient tracks. Not feeling it so far.

With the whole Origin debacle, I'll just follow the Codex LP. That'll be more fun than actually "playing" the game anyway.

Since the marketing suggests the game should be played with a dumb Nord brawler, I'll play as a High Elf mage.

I didn't watch the "leaked" videos due to the dubious sources, but what I want from Skyrim is a unique and atmospheric world with interesting new lore (which has been the core of Elder Scrolls series, gameplay has always been mediocre at best). Basically, I want back what was lost after Morrowind.

Takes forever to get going IIRC. It's funny how it starts and ends with two ridiculously over-the-top magical battles, and between that basically nothing happens.

Could be fun to use them as cannon fodder.

I'm interested in it and will get it after Skyrim, Arkham City and Saints Row 3... so probably in a year or two.

I wouldn't be surprised if the main character will shapeshift into a dragon and beat Alduin in a cutscene. "Dragonborn" suggests the main character is the descendant of a dragon (IIRC offspring of Alessia and Akatosh) and what would be the use of being able to absorb dragon souls otherwise? Considering the Dwemer are involved in the game as well, I wouldn't even be surprised if the Numidium from Daggerfall shows up (it is never mentioned what happened to it after the Warp in the West) and one will have to use it in the final fight to clobber Alduin -- in this case, dragon souls could be used to power the Numidium. The art direction is really great. I like how the Dwemer golem looks like a mini-Numidium. There's even the power source (soul gem) where the heart is supposed to be.

If a mage fails the Harrowing, the mage is slain on the spot. The Harrowing takes place in the top room of the mage tower.

Saw Three Musketeers. Waste of money. I wanted to punch D'Artagnan in the face each time he appeared on screen. Even the one with Kiefer Sunderland and Charlie Sheen was better.
