  1. After being forced to listen to all those obtuse Ulysses ramblings, it's the least he deserves. I'm thinking he must be suffering from Asperger syndrome.
  2. Download the ready-to-play all-in version instead: http://uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Files
  3. The flare gun makes tunnelers and deathclaws a non-issue. I snuck past all tunnelers in the underground tunnel though before the High Road, because I kept getting stuck in the environment when trying to fight them.
  4. My character is level 45, so it's a breeze.
  5. I tried to get Mr Robot killed because he kept botching my stealth, but apparently the little **** is unkillable because of the plot. Anyway, is the Divide supposed to be Area-51?
  6. Claudia Black sure has a knack for portraying tsundere characters. There's none of that nonsense in my Dragon Age universe, at least until it is retconned by David Gaider.
  7. That may well be, but at least it allows you to stab Morrigan in the gut, while in Origins your character is forced to stand around like a retard in a cutscene while the bitch slowly walks out of the room.
  8. Once you have all DLCs and start a new game, will it be possible to start Lonesome Road before Dead Money or Old World Blues?
  9. After playing through Arena recently, Daggerfall looks like heaven. Heh, I still play Heretic, Daggerfall looks as good as that.
  10. I think I need a new sarcasm detector.
  11. So... is she?
  12. Both Arena & Daggerfall are essentially infinite dungeon crawlers. While Arena had minimal lore and a linear main quest that gets very repetitve, Daggerfall had an intriguing, multi-pathed main quest and a fully fledged out setting with tons of (non-censored) lore books spread around. Morrowind is a small-scale, non-randomized and much less complex version of Daggerfall. The only thing it does better, is atmosphere.
  13. Reportedly at the end of Lonesome Road, you can launch a ICBM at the Mojave Wasteland. Please, let this be true.
  14. They took Animal Friend perk.
  15. High Elf really was the best class in early TES games. You could take critical weakness to paralysis as disadvantage, since they were immune to paralysis anyway, and gain a ton of free points to invest elsewhere.
  16. And so illogical : you have a place with only children that send adults in another town. Yet, they managed to have still children dozens of years after its creation. How ? No idea. Orphans from all over the Wasteland.
  17. Against liches, a reflect spell was much more useful. THe point of spell absorption was to never run out of mana when you repeatedly cast spells at walls to level up. Morrowind removed advantages/disadvantages, but strangely enough removed the limit on training so that munchkining was even more effortless than in Daggerfall.
  18. I managed to get Battlespire to run, but even with tweaked Dosbox configuration I get only 10-20 fps. It's playable, but not exactly fun this way. Pity, since it's a great game.
  19. Daggerfall already had broken character creation. You could create a level 1 god, basically, by dumping Personality and Luck and picking Spell Absorption as advantage + Weakness to Magic as disadvantage.
  20. Do they also believe in gravity?
  21. If we're going full hyperbole... Arena looked better than Skyrim.
  22. Interpreting the Bible literally leads to believing in geocentrism and a flat earth, I can't believe even creationists would stoop that low. On the other hand, a Muslim colleague of mine (otherwise a very intelligent man) takes the Qu'ran literally. Not to mention in general muslim children around here are encouraged by the imam to reject the "nonsense" they learn at school, because everything there is to know is in the Qu'ran. At least the Roman Catholic Church has officially accepted the theory of evolution; I'm pretty sure the various protestant churches have as well.
  23. Androgynous characters in a medieval world aside, it's like they took every possible element from western fantasy and European mythologies and threw them into a melting pot without any thought whatsoever. Anyway, if it comes to PC I'll play it anyway. R00fles!
  24. Looks terrible.
