  1. Making something look bad in that engine would be quite the accomplishment, tbh. (I'm sure BioWare will oblige)
  2. Are there multiple paths through the game like in the first game? I loved the Chaotic Stupid playthrough Halflings -> Lizardmen -> Undead. I never liked that the standard Keeper path Halflings -> Dwarves -> Elves was made canon at any rate, Halflings -> Lizardmen -> Highmen was so much more poignant.
  3. Fawkes can't die.
  4. What's good about this MMO is that Bethesda can use it as a testcase for certain gameplay elements they consider putting in their singleplayer games.
  5. I like this idea, but unfortunately it's handled terribly in the games that have tried—by encouraging save scumming and metagaming, mostly. You rarely ever get in-game hints that you are going to be in over your head and that it would be wise to turn around... it's just a quick death followed by a sense of "wha?" → reload. True. Going to be interesting to see how Bioware tackles this in DAI, as it's been one of their key selling points. You'll have to run around the map in circles and fight green imps for three hours.
  6. Warhammer 40k: Love Can Bloom.
  7. Obisidian? Obysidian? Well played.
  8. Wouldn't want to be jumped by her, after all.
  9. You mean open world as I'm restricted to a specific area where the monsters are within my level? Gotta sneak past those deathclaws, man.
  10. I actually bought a boxed copy in Germany of that game. It has good atmosphere and interesting protagonists, but only one good puzzle (which is optional to boot) and the trademark labyrinth. All the magic tricks are completely telegraphed. Plot is interesting. Similar game like Still Life has the same price and much more gameplay and variety.
  11. Ziets is a fan of 精霊の守り人 so he's alright in my book.
  12. Characters with abilities that require throwing a projectile that might heal enemies, hurt allies or miss entirely (ever changing battlefield), are too much of a hassle. It would work better if combat were turn-based.
  13. Sliders was good. Well except for the final two seasons.
  14. Verdict on Aarklash: Legacy + * most unique party members since Sacred: Underworld and Sacred 2 * best RtwP combat in a cRPG ever * cool puzzles * good art direction * game length is just right - * combat would still be better turn based * bad to terrible dialogue, voice over and story, normally I don't care about this but in this game it really grated me * bad loot, however it is not really the focus of the game * level cap of 20 too low * at least 3 party members you start the game with are OP, no real reason to use others except when the game forces you to All in all, another masterpiece from Cyanide/Spiders and not a bad appetizer before Obsidian Larian are finished blundering around with Project Eternity Divinity: Original Sin.
  15. I'd be ashamed playing something like that. *starts up Katawa Shoujo*
  16. Wouldn't fat batsmen be a liability?
  17. This is lowest common denominator fodder. At least make a thread about gamma ray bursts.
  18. Any examples of fat baseballers?
  19. I almost wrote a post when I saw the screenies, but didn't want to start a discussion in a Pictures topic. Now that someone else commented, I feel more... enabled. Short version: For me, Aarklash Legacy was Game of the Year 2013. It's been a looooooong time since I tasted RtwP combat so juicy, so intelligent, challenging, varied. Too bad it was basically over by the end of Chapter 2 with your characters maxed out, it was just more of the same after that. If you haven't seen it, check out the hidden scene with Nella Is that in the area with the hydra?
