  1. I think sorophx point was more directed to the "pc"? /Edit: Btw. I just checked out my Dungeon Siege 1 again and I can't say it's much of an rpg either.
  2. This feels like a Fallout -> Fallout 3 d
  3. Oh no, Obsidian is the new Bethesda! :>
  4. And now lets compare a first person shooter with a game that is played in birds eye view!
  5. How do you know that lots of features have been removed because of the story? The features would collide with the story?
  6. Shouldn't there be some announcement for a new Obsidian game or am I horrible wrong now?
  7. I liked how smooth the game / demo is running + the transition from outside to inside locations (if there is a difference, engine wise). Also that fire woman, whatever the name was, looks nice when in hoover mode and burning hair. :>
  8. FNVs gameworld makes sense, FO3s doesn't. That alone is enough for me to like the one and hate the other.
  9. Good old hypocrisy. Not really. FNV still has sucky elements that got carried over from Fallout 3. But at least the story and game world isn't such a big ****up, which is the point here. Not that this belongs into this thread here now, though...
  10. And after they both fight each other to death, it turns out that Shepard is actually gay. :>
  11. Lately, every released game makes some people rage about it because of whatever reasons.
  12. No, but it would be stupid to do so. /Edit: Also I don't understand the story-rage now. As far as I can remember, DS never was about the story, wasn't it? I mean, up to some point it didn't even had any deeper lore that it cared about at all.
  13. The publisher decides about the name, not Obsidian.
  14. Well, I find it better and more deep than the stuff in DS1 (which is the only other DS game that I've played).
  15. And how many of these are taken 1:1 from the old games?
  16. GamersGlobal writes, that Patty is (at least) used to introduce you with the priates, because she has the connections.
  17. This is the new shizzle? @Risen 2: Various new german previews are up already with quite a bit new information, as far as I could see. Stuff like you first have to gain trust with the pirates to get yer own ship, also you have to set up your own crew, the ship is used as your base (like the Normandy in ME). On land, you can take one of your companions with you, who then fights on your side and can interrupt dialogues between you and NPCs, etc.
  18. At least this is not true. Actually, a lot of the "hardcore Fallout fans" like FNV, because it's the best damn thing that could happen to the Fallout franchise by now.
  19. Game crashed for me too on startup. Had to restart Steam, then it worked.
  20. Hm, I didn't had a problem with the camera in combat. What I had a problem with was all that light effects and stuff, while I've lost track of my character. But that was close to the end with that second character following you, spawning fireballs and whatnot.
  21. Just finished the demo with both characters. I had and still have a hard time to get into the controls. It's totally different than other games of that type that I've played (which isn't a lot... Diablo 1+2, Sacred and Torchlight). The graphic is pretty good and the game runs super smooth, feels polished. I am a bit surprised about the pc port though... The interface is very consolish and there isn't even any way to configure the keys and such. The first time I've started up the game, I was hammering the I and C key to open up my inventory and character screen, but nothing happened. As there was nowhere a keylayout to be found in the game, I was pressing all keys one by one until I've found what I have been searching... That definitive needs some more love. To the characters... That sword-dude really isn't my type of character. The woman felt much better, though possible that her hoover-style and flaming hair looked just much better. I think I like the way the skill system and the abilities work. Would need to get used to it first, which mainly plays into the general controls once again... Needs to be learned first. What I also liked is the dialog and text stuff on bookshelves and such. That gave some background information and was nice to read. So... I really don't know if I should buy the game or not. I honestly don't know if I could ever play it very long in singleplayer. If at all, coop would be my only way, because else such type of games can bore me very fast (didn't even finished Torchlight. After I've entered the second town, I just stopped playing, even though the game wasn't that bad). But as I am at work most time of a day, it can become hard to find friends to play with... In any case, I'll guess I would only play that woman with the guns. :> /Edit: I've voted "Good, but needs some tweaking." while "tweaking" being the interface stuff on the pc version.
  22. Keep in mind that you will finish one game in around 4 hours. So if you want to buy them only for their singleplayer mode, it's around 8 hours playtime or so.
  23. Wiiboo?
  24. Looks more like they wanted to make an Inglorious Basterds game.
  25. So, when do we send freedom fighters to the Iran?
