It's funny / interesting, whenever anything bad happens, I find myself making jokes about it. I don't exactly know why, but it's always my first reaction. It's Apparently how I deal with such situations. Seems as if I am full with black humor.

By the way, the enemy turn time in my game is so long by now that I've started to read a book. Every turn I manage to read about 2 pages, more if nothing special happens in the game, like diplomatic stuff or a battle. I do not find it that bad, though, as I wanted to read more again anyway and just couldn't get me to spend time on it. :> Also the world map slowly loses more and more fps. If the clouds really are a huge performance eater, then I probably should check out how to disable them. They don't add anything to the graphical presentation anyway.

And then he will be turning into the emperor of mankind, the immortal ruling monarch of the Imperium of Man.

The starting position indeed has a huge influence. Obviously being surrounded by many potential enemies makes the game a lot harder, at least in the beginning. I slowly started to value the trade agreement a little more. Right now I have trade agreements with around 3/4 of all my known factions, which brings me about 9000 dinarii per turn. If I would higher my taxes to the maximum, I would make around 25k in a turn. Though, that's not a good idea, as my own towns would jump on me then. :> Still, as long as I only research and don't do much war, I shovel money like a mad men. What makes me wonder, though, is that the ai sometimes cancles trade agreements for (to me) no aparent reason. I mean, wouldn't this be the last thing you'd cancle? Like, a second before you invade the country? My tactic right now is to send the civic dudebros into enemy territory, where they spread latin culture until the enemy cities fall from a rebellion. Then I move my legions into the city and take it. Gives me a new town and the former faction doesn't notice it as a attack. :> It takes a while, of course....

The beta will start then, the full release was pushed further into the future.

German YouTube tells me the movie got removed because it is against their naked & sex rules. Now that makes me interested.

Still haven't finished the game. After the Fall chapter started, I somehow totally lost motivation. I'll guess the game felt too repetitive to me. How knows when I will decide to finally finish it.

I don't mind the shorter battles. In fact, after just a few hours I am only using auto resolve most of the time anyway. The new province system is good. It greatly reduces the town micro-management. The political (internal faction) system... I am not really using it at all. Every 10 or 15 turns I remember that it existed and check the menu, but even then I am pretty much not doing anything with it. My impression so far: I like it. Not sure yet if I like it more than Rome 1, but it is on a good way, simply because of the better interface. Also I like the perk system for armies and all this stuff.

I heard that the G3 community patch is full with ****ty fetch quests. For me, nothing beats Gothic 1. After that is G2 with addon. I'd love to replay them again, now that I am thinking about it. Never played more of Gothic 3 than the demo. It killed all my interest in this title forever.

Is it a bad sign if you find evidence of DLC for a game that nobody know was in development at all?

Wish I could too, but the game just isn't starting anymore. It was running ok-ish till yesterday evening, then after clicking play in the launcher the last time... Nothing happened anymore. Now I've validated the game cache, deleted all files, downloaded it again, checked driver updates, etc. etc. but I simply can't get it to launch anymore. Oh well. At least the ArmA3 dev branch updated worked great.

Well, by now everyone should know that TW games are never finished on release, therefore I don't exactly get all the rage that is spawning in the forums right now. It was obvious that the launch will be ****ed up, especially considering they activated the review copies of the game only like a day before release. The scarce amount of detailed information that was not from their PR machine, etc... Whoever didn't expected something bad was either blind or didn't informed himself before. Me personally, I only played a part of the prolog yesterday and it doesn't look like a that bad game. Still, I have huge performance issues. The game is nearly unplayable, as soon as there are more than 15 units on the screen... And later you will have at least 20 per side... Graphic wise the game is a huge letdown, though. Even if I ignore the frames and power up all graphic settings, I don't get even remotely close to what was shown on screenshots and videos. My game just looks blurry and messy.

Because at best he will have knocked out an entire platform while they have to get in people to extract the mangled trolley from the train, and declare everything operationally safe. I honestly can't believe you think it's OK to just hoy steel trolleys into the path of oncoming trains. I didn't said that I am ok with it. I am more lolwtf about it. Especially if you see how that dude behaves as if all is totally normal. In the end, the train could have jumped from the rails, and cause some huge ****, just because one dude thought "well, why not." I'll guess my post was very unclear in that direction.

"Well, why not." Reminds me of these penny-on-the-rails stories.

Looks cool. Has the potential to become a fancy game.

Well, nobody needed that thing to begin with. I have no idea why so many people pledged for the console anyway. Guess it was simply the KS hype at that time or people expected a new PS3 / Xbox360.

I've seen such things, but I don't think it was meaned seriously.

Sounds good. We ain't getting younger, after all.

Are they looking like that due to them watching the vmas live on mtv?

I find this funny, because Fallout 1 doesn't feature that much exploring. You only have to carefully read what NPCs tell you and then you should have no problem at all to beat the game. From the moment you start till the end there is a red line guiding you from location to location (yeah, without quest arrows and stuff!). Example: Keep in mind, that this is not meaned to be a ololol you use walkthrough111 post. Just wanted to point out the exploration thingy. :>

I thought they changed that with a later patch? After I had finished the game, I felt so hard burned out, due to all the militia micro-management you had to do (release version and all). It was hell on earth. Luckily the enemy was so stupid, he always attacked the same spot, so I only had to concentrate on that one...

After the last Splinter Cell game, I won't ever buy any of them ever again.

It will take a few months and then it's going free 2 p(l)ay. What makes TES games have so many hardcore fans is the modding support, which you won't get in a online game. So yeah, people will run away from it fast, I am pretty sure.
