I wouldn't call Gothic 1,2/Risen sandbox games, though. They really aren't.

Ditto on the boss fights and to my disappointment the game just bludgeons from Tong's Rescue to the Missing Link, they even kept the recap. I'm still wondering if I get to keep the praxis points I've gained. When I finished the dlc part, I got 25 praxis points. No idea if that was a fixed value or if it's the amount I had before, though. And I agree that it feels very forced, but oh well... Better than the dlc outside of the game. It should have been includet all along.

Hmm, I only finished episode 1 so far. Maybe I should finally continue with Episode 2.

But a delivery boy with a space ship!

This kind of made me curious if I should try out the Train Simulator 2014 or somesuch. I love trains, especially the heavy industrial ones, but I am not sure if I want to pay 30 Euro for a test. /Edit: Especially that apparently every addon costs around 30 Euro. Lolwut.

Hah, yeah. The Catwoman parts in the second game where the best ones, imo. I totally want a full game in that style.

Playing DX:HR DC since yesterday. Just finished the DLC-part and... I think found a bug. My grenade launcher is gone and this sucks donkey balls. When I opened the stash with my weapons on the ship, everything was there, just not the grenade launcher. Meh. Wondering if this just happened to me now or if everyone is experiencing the loss of this weapon.

Problem is, the translator wasn't very skilled in the language, so he translated the vocals to "uh-oh oh yeah"'s and called it a day.

Watched the first episode of the us tv show Elementary. It was... pretty bad. Then I tried the BBC version, Sherlock, which was a lot better. Still, I think from all Sherlock Holmes inspired fiction, I like House M.D. the most. :>

I am not running windows 8, but I'll check out the mouse lag stuff anyway. I've read that going window / fullscreen with alt+enter can help and I *think* it helps a bit for me, but I am not 100% sure. Also I've updated my drivers and deinstalled NVIDIA 3D vision stuff, as I've read it can cause slowdowns in games and I am not using any 3D stuff anyway. It's playable now, but still not fully smooth.

The ones that quite a few people are experiencing. Including me. Can't remember that I had this with the original game + dlc.

Apparently the god damn stuttering issues with the DX:HR directors cut are because of the DRM. Thanks again, useless DRM mechanics.

She's the nerd queen, that's enough reason.

Wut, is it out already? I thought release is 25th or something. /Edit: Steam says "This game will unlock in approximately 1 day and 16 hours".

UK Muslims targeted for speaking out about terror

If the killing is part of their "honor-system", then probably, yeah. Happened a few times in Germany as well. Turkish father / brother killing the daughter / sister because she had sex or is dating someone they don't like, etc. -
I like that font.

This thing looks... strange.

It shows up ridiculous handholding due to the needs of the story, which is the case in this game. You can allow a certain degree of nonlinearity in a game like metro. Just because it is "on rails" doesn't mean you need to be forced to go a strictly pre-defined path. Even in subways you have crossroads, after all.
-
Metro is another game that gets slapped by the Stanley parable. You have no freedom none whatsoever in that game. You are strictly following a line all the time and it annoys the hell out of me. The Metro game could have been really good, but instead they decided to remake the book into a damn railway shooter game. With their own story they could have done so much more in the setting. Really disappointing.

You could try a language that is most spoken in your area beside english. In my opinion, everyone should try to learn at least a second language, doesn't matter if you are never going to visit that country. It can be simply for education or for lolz- best of course if there are people in your local area who speak that language. Me personally, I would also love to get better in spanish, even though there is like nobody speaking spanish in germany. -
The censorship. /joke :> -gone that gif- /Edit: Oh wait, that needs censorship too. Woops. :> Instead:

Bought and played it as well yesterday and I do regred the 10€ now a bit, though. The game itself is pretty good, but since I've already played the mod a long time ago, the "full game" offered nothing new to me. It was a little longer and all that, but the point of the game is already delivered with the free mod, so I don't really see a good reason to pay the full 10€ on a little more now. But beside this, every game dev / story guy should play the Stanley Parable, IMO. It shows perfectly what is wrong with most games. For example, right after I "finished" it, I jumped into Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and yeah... It's one of those games that dictate everything you have to do. All the time it tells you where to walk, what to use, what to shoot at, and so on... Super annoying. People, stop creating such games, coz they are boring shait.

Watched Memento. Cool movie, but damn, I had to read the wikipedia page after the credits.
