Heh, you would never ever have seen something like this in our school. Someone driving through the house with a motorcycle? He would be kicked from school instandly, or at least get a warning (3 of 3 and you are off from school). Moving your desk to somewhere else? The teacher would be like "what the f is wrong with you" and you get a warning. I have never seen a student having a serious argument with a teacher. They are the law, you obey. Everyone who didn't obey usually had been a huge idiot and social outsider. But don't see this as "we are the slaves" or something. It was simply the mindset. Be serious, be grown up, or something along the lines. Nowadays I feel we should have risked more, and be more active generally. There was no real "togetherness" - if you compare it with the Breakfast Club, when that rebell guy closed the door, everyone covered him, even though they had no reason to. In our school, the teacher would enter the room and some idiot would yell who did it. The teacher doesn't even have to ask. Meh. Oh well. Now I have one of those "if I could jump back in time, I would do many things different" feels. :>

When did you go to school? The Breakfast Club is actually a pretty good representation of what detention could be like at a lot of schools in the US in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. I used to actually sometimes look forward to detention. It's definitely not like that now in most places though. Started '94. We had some wild time in the high school later, but it was never like in the movies. When I try to remember now, I actually can't really describe it. Or let's say I don't know how to. It was rather peaceful most of the time, we had the generic groups of people who sticked together all the time and then that's it, kind of. Rather shallow stuff. Nobody has been really interested in doing something crazy. Just think about it: The most crazy thing we did, that nobody(!) else on the school ever(!!) did before, was taking blankets in summer and sitting on the grass in the big school yard. This is how crazy we had been and that should tell what kind of school life we had. The impression I get from old american school movies is that the students private life was more connected with the school than in germany. For us (me?) everything interesting happened outside of school, never in school. While such american movies make it seem that when being young, the school is all around you, everywhere, all the time. It's strange and like I wrote- I can't really describe the feels.

Just watched the Breakfast Club for the very first time. It's a p.cool movie, but I don't remember school being anything like that. Super cool dancing, though. Man, wish I could dance like that. But I suck at dancing. Such sadness.

Played through the "story" of Metal Gear Solid - The Ground Zeroes. It was good, but extremely short. Stuff like this was called a demo back in the years. Or, well, the prolog as we know it from MGS2 and MGS3. Just that you now have to pay 20 bucks for it. Well, at least there seems to be quite some stuff to unlock. Will try out the side-mission stuff tomorrow, but I'll doubt they need much time either.

I never ever heard of it before, but now I think it is the best word in the world and I will try to use it as often as possible.

Yeah, it does look interesting. Haven't seen more than a bunch of trailers yet, though.

So it's like not so much time till friday by now (at least in germany). When do we get a damn announcement? :>
-
Bleh, I hate the waiting time.
-
Wasn't it the same in The Thing?

Certainly an interesting idea and a welcome change of pace from the standard "Murica, **** Yeah! *brofist*" that's the vast majority of games about war. This looks really interesting. Just sux that there is only the teaser right now. I'd like to know more before I forget about it again.

New Rome 2 DLC. I probably buy it, coz Caesar in Gaul was good, imo.
-
Well, she still drops valid points here and there. Other than that, I really couldn't care less and find her "hardcore enemies" at least as lol.
-
Well, most people would do that. So it's not like you can blame it on her character or something.
-
Looks like most of these laws are targeted against brothels. Like the "not more than 2 ****" or "keeping a house where unmarried people have sex" etc.

Wouldn't they be held liable financially (through fines) had they released it? Depends on how it is presented in the game and the old discussion: Are games art or not? Because in art, swastika stuff is allowed.
-
Apparently Ubisoft has pulled all german versions of South Park, because to the end of the game there is one swastika to be seen. Good guy Ubisoft, saving the world, one swastika at a time.

I love airships. Tensed to see if this is really going to lead somewhere.
-
Pretty sure it's because when they started, they had to invest most resources into the editing tools. Now that this stuff was done, they had more time for the real game.

So, I just released my Commandos mission pack on ModDB. http://www.moddb.com/mods/commandos-bcd-mission-pack

Never played the first game, but Dragonfall got me interested, as I live in the Berlin area. Played a bit over 1 hour and so far it's quite fun.
-
Well, the X games never were mainstream games. All of them had huge flaws, yet they always also had a huge fanbase.
-
Well, so far it's only about the beginning area in Arizona anyway. It's unlikely that they will release more than that in the beta.
-
Many good changes with the latest update, imo. Also I didn't noticed any serious quest bugs so far, unlike the initial release, which was like impossible to play. I also like the changes to the graphics and map scenery. Though, most of the locations still feel a lot like linear outdoor dungeons. I am sure the same will be the case for Damonta when it gets released. Though, I probably shouldn't play the game yet, because with every big update one probably needs to start a new game and so far I am not too much a fan of the beginning. It could annoy me a lot to go through it over and over again.

Yep, the one that comes up now. Kinda bad timing for me, because I'd rather do something else instead. :/
