  1. Sounds very unlikely to me. The whole text about it. Wish to be proven wrong too, though. The news article seems to be pretty bad anyway. The Fallout Online-part is wrong too, as example. It was always clear that Zenimax was working on an Elders Scrolls MMO and not Fallout Online. Also highly unlikely that the new studio will work on a Fallout Online. Just can't imagine them working on and releasing two MMOs at the same time.
  2. Is it good? Trailer looks rather preachy.
  3. No idea if that's sarcasm or something, but I really like it to have gained access- especially because I was tossing around mod ideas (quest / story) already since last month. Now I'll see how much I can get working from that and if it is good at all. I even re-read the first two of the books (the best ones, imo). Only in german, though. I'll probably need to read them again in english to get a better feeling for the writing style.
  4. Avellone did all DLCs except HH. I also like DMs writing, but the DLC itself not so much, because of the maze-like map layout. Though, unlike many other people, I really liked the radio-stuff. You had to listen to your surroundings and try to find the radios or you go booom. With a little care in walking around, they never were a real problem to me.
  5. Fancypants, I got access to the Witcher 2 REDkit beta. :D One from 100 of over 600 applications.
  6. But the DLCs are more like mini-addons and totally worth the money, imo. Really can't be compared to rip-off DLCs a la horse armor.
  7. If you want to start them, a popup shows up and tells you the suggested level. Doesn't mean you have to do it with that one then, though. I personally like to do Honest Hearts with at least lvl 14 / 15, because then the White Legs are running around with Brush Guns and Anti-Materiel Rifles. Feels cool. :> Playing Old World Blues with level 30 right now and it is hard, but not *that* hard. I am doing fine right now.
  8. I don't think think the location was *that* big when the courier arrived. Ulysses just saw it being build up and therefore had a different view on it. At least that's what I think... no idea. What I find worse is that everyone is telling you that you can just go away and if you don't, it is your fault what happens, because you had the choice. But that means, your choice is pretty much to play Lonesome Road or don't, which I find to be not a choice at all. If you want to play, you are railroaded into it. Not really optimal for a game that talks so much about choice, imo.
  9. If you finish the main game story, the game ends and you have to reload an earlier savegame. So you have to finish LR before. It won't have any influence on the ending. The only thing - afaik - that matters for LR is your reputation with the main factions in the game.
  10. Somehow I have to think about Legend of Grimrock all the time when someone mentiones the mega dungeon.
  11. Damnation, no livestream recordings online yet? Not even from the game? Really sucks that I started my new job exactly this week and therefore missed all the cool fuzz.
  12. Is it on youtube somewhere? Too lazy to search through lots of videos...
  13. Sounds good. Now students have a place to work at while not learning.
  14. I want to see all of the obsidianites dance like in the above gif later on. Really want to watch the stream the whole night, but I should be in bed already since 15 mins. :/ Hope someone will record the hours.
  15. I will cancle my internet, because there won't be any good anymore.
  16. I don't want anything other than what I originally pledged for. 8 dollars aren't the world, so... whoever might be sad panda now, because there ain't any goodies... well, get over it.
  17. Dito. Recording would be super fancy. Got a new job exactly this week and I had to sleep and / or work while the game was going on. Probably won't see any other livestreams as well... :/
  18. I often use "save ..." to make a savegame with specific name. No idea if that makes issues with achievements, though. Couldn't care less about them. :>
  19. I wouldn't mind seeing waypoints if my target is clear anyway. If one of the NPCs is telling me that the evil hound of Lord Douchness is hiding in Ellenwood at the Myr'myd Bar, there is just no reason not to have a waypoint to that location.
  20. Started Old World Blues yesterday. My second playthrough. I still think the dialog in the beginning is way too long. That's around 20 or 30 minutes just dialog from the intro slideshow till you actually move your character for the very first time. At some point I started to fast-read the sentences and jumped through it. I would like to say it ain't so, but truth is, I even did it on my first playthrough. And after the talk is done, you pretty much can start talking at least the same amount of text now manually with each character around. So you can use up already approx 1 hour before you even get out into the new gameworld. Anyway, finished some of the first fetchy quests already and this time I somehow feel much "deeper" in the world. No idea if it's because I am reading it for the second time or because I know what to expect and consume it different now. Also I feel like I grasp the world details a lot better this time around. Maybe I was rushing through OWB too fast the first time I played it and now I am actually exploring... Will continue my journey on sunday evening.
  21. Same. Though I thought it was because of my bad computer here.
