Looks great, but I'll doubt the game will play like that. Truth is, probably everyone will rush around right after start and then die. Especially on public servers of course. Bleh, make it a bit slower and singleplayer and I would be jumping circles now. /Edit: That Mass Effect stuff is so much PR bla bla, it's not even funny anymore. :D /Edit2: Evil villain Bryko in FarCry 4 looks interesting, but his crazyness reminds me a bit too much of that guy in FarCry 3.

To me it looks like it's probably still part of the intro. Because right after the health bar was down, the cutscene started and Geralt was walking into the city. I've seen that stuff usually only at the beginning of a game, when you are still able to get force-teleported around without the player being angry about it for whatever reason.

Nope, haven't done it. Always thought there weren't many choices taken over anyway (other than some items you would get anyway to the end of TW1?). And I still wonder if any of that will have influence on W3.

The Stomping Land is on Steam arly access now and... Holy Batman. It looks cool on the shop page, but I regret every minute I've spend on it. By god, this isn't even pre-alpha. This game is an early prototype at maximum. It takes like 10 minutes to see all available content and then that's it. 23 Euro for this, seriously? In this case, "early access" really just means pay for testing a game that might or might not ever get turned into something that isn't a turd. If I'd be one of the developers, I'd be embaressed to show this in public already. I feel that I am slowly drifting into the "early access == Bullshait" camp. VALVe needs to man up and kick such crap from their store. It can become available again as soon as it actually does have some real value, but right now... And it's not the only example. There are some games on Steam now where I wonder how the hell they managed it to get through.

Most sexy time. Triss is super hawt. But I am a little worried about Yen later. Then again, there wasn't much drama in the books about it, so... Maybe it'll be all cool and stuff. Other than that, I actually never finished Witcher 1. The game became just way too much running around for me + all the long loading times. I just couldn't bear it any longer and stopped playing at some point. Since then I never felt motivated to pick it up again.

Anyone already played Witcher 2 with the combat rebalance mod? I am doing it right now and it's quite cool- but I have no idea where to get the grapeshot recipe. I need it for the nekker contract, but no trader has the recipe. Meh. /edit: I just read that you'll have to unlock it via skill. Meh.

Bloom was the first thing I had to deactivate in TW2. It's just way too much, imo. The game looks better with bloom disabled.

I remember that on release, FNV crashed my system because of sound issues (the sound got really stretched, with lots of feedback until it all ended in a bluescreen). But I have no idea how I fixed this. Later when I got a new mainboard and everything it disappeard and I was happy since.

Back then I actually thought about making a small total conversion mod in that style, but figured that my writing skills are just way too bad to make it a good game. It's Dandelion after all, which means the game would need more talking than fighting and the talking needs to have above average writing. Also some sort of thriller storyline needs to be thought out, with twists and interesting characters and such... And truth is, I just suck at all of this. What a shame.

I wonder, though, why is reading a book on a e-book reader changes the way you perceive it, compared to reading it in a normal paper book? Some books I've already read in "normal" and on a e-book reader, but I can't say I felt any different.

With the Pirates & Stuff DLC I once again started a new Rome 2 game. So many people rage about Rome 2, but for me, it's currently my most played game since last september. Steam says 150 hours, which is quite a lot for me.
