  1. Like I owe you an answer. Go play it yourself, if possible, past the tutorial area? Then come back and apologize how right I was. I didn't played it (because I don't want to spend money on a game that might be ****ty FPS) and you don't want to tell my why it is better than any other FPS. Guess I will never find out then.
  2. No. If the game got funded, your money is taken and if the game fails to exist after that, you will not get your money back.
  3. Also, so far we do not know what will happen if a project fails to get developed even though it got the asked funding. Imagine you are investing $250 into a game which will then never happen. Prepare for a) ignoring this issue in anger or b) step right into lawyer bull**** and all this ta-ta so that you maybe get your money back... or not. With Wasteland 2, the Banner Saga, Shadowrun, etc. the risk is not so high, which is why I pledge for this without thinking much about it. But I wouldn't do this with every project just because it sounds good on paper.
  4. Playing some Legend of Grimrock right now. Around 2 hours into it and so far it is really good.
  5. Finally got a Jagdtiger in World of Tanks. The tank is fun to play, but really not a money maker...
  6. Now I somehow hope for a little bit of base management too. The setting for this would be there and it could lead to quite a few good scenarios (gathering folks for the outpost, etc).
  7. The new patch for Witcher 2 can be pre-loaded now with this tool. Had to reinstall and upgrade my normal version again right now, because it got ****ed up with my last windows installation.
  8. Started re-downloading Witcher 2 with the new patch. On 17th april, I will be ready to do some witchers work again. \o/
  9. Yea, would have tried it already, but I am pretty sure it won't run very smooth on my machine. Also I find these airships a bit strange... does that really fit to TES?
  10. The second Double Fine Kickstarter video for backers is online. It is p.nice to watch, tensed to see the one next month.
  11. Yes. I am imagining it like a normal slideshow. No videos, just images with voice over, because of the costs (it is a free dlc, after all).
  12. I found it quite addictive in the beginning, because of all the stuff you can / have to activate over time. Though, this also annoyed me the most and ultimately made me stop playing. You play to earn points and with these points you buy packages, which contain randomly 5 items... So in order to get object x, you either have to be extremely lucky or play a million games so you might get it some fine day. And for the later it is just way too repitativ. Always the same 5 maps, always the same enemies, always the same tactics, etc.
  13. What files could you modify which would give you an advantage in multiplayer? Crosshairs? Sounds pretty stupid to me, except if they have stuff like weapon stats read from local files... in which case BioWare would be the one who is stupid for having the game work in that way.
  14. That's p.cool and the chick is hawt.
  15. Are they still doing this? Kind of funny.
  16. Damnit, now I want to replay the game again. SIE is the best one, imo. Never had her in the boat as well, though. The really good thing with AP is, that it's reasonable short. You can replay it fast with different actions here and there. I replayed it 7 times in the first few weeks alone and in a playthrough some months later, I did it again 3 times, with always a slightly different ending. I couldn't bother replaying a Mass Effect (imagining it would have more choice&consequence), simply because it would be too long and tedious for one playthrough.
  17. I can't believe that people still talk and nagg about the ending. For me it has a "arrow in the knee"-kind of feeling already and everytime I read about it, it's just annoying.
  18. Well, that's one of the games main feature, especially because combat is extremely hard.
  19. DoW2 Retribution was p.cool, though Chaos Rising was the better one gameplay wise.
  20. Heh, though I am happy about it. Wouldn't pledge any money to it, but I would like to get a new game which is like SWAT 4 and co.
  21. Still playing World of Tanks. With the new update yesterday, all the old players are back and the battles are now worse than ever before. So many campers and silly tank drivers who use their tanks wrong, etc. It is really demotivating.
  22. Keep in mind that the first few months will be pure work on design anyway. So Obsidian would have some deeper impact on the game, even though they won't be writing the games code and scripts.
  23. I didn't said that Obsidian has no potential for that. Your post just sounded like lots of million dollar things are possible now, because a few 100k projects made it.
  24. But they didn't asked for a million dollar. And your point? If anything thats actually a positive indication of Obsidians chances. Inxile didn't have the better history in games and Fargo isn't more popular a name as Chris Avellone + Tim Cain. My point is, that a million dollars needs either a lot backers (like Double Fine got) or a few with lots of money (like inXile got). The few with lots of money at some point in life won't spend more money and getting as many backers as Double Fine got is not an easy target to achieve. And if the Kickstarterhype is going down, less people will begin to pledge and ultimately the ones with lots of money won't kick it out anymore as well. Soo... just because right now some games fullfilled a few thousand dollars, it doesn't mean many other million dollar titles will make it too.
