Finished chapter 1 in MGS5. Looks like chapter 2 intruduces missions from chapter 1 with different rulesets... Hope to be able to snatch more tanks now!

Oh, but I hate that I can't use the fultoned walker gear later. They just disappear. Sux. I hate the D-Walker as a buddy and rather have it under normal vehicles.

Still doing MGS5 like crazy. Fully stealthed many missions now + it becomes a hobby of me to snatch vehicles. Especially tanks. My vehicle counter is going up fast. Just sux I can't Fulton gunships, even if they are on the ground. :>

For the most part, motherbase is a huge wiener party anyway. I mean, I have a staff of over 600 men and barely a hand of them are females. :>

Are Skaven in? If they are, I might maybe consider this game. If not, then meh.

Yeah, I can see her being very useful with silenced tranquilizer rifle. Sadly, I would need to spend qui(e)t some time with her to unlock it first... meh. Unsilenced rifle is really not in line with my playstyle. I like to super-stealth every mission, and enemy alert is not good for that. Already happens often enough that I make it till the near-end of a mission and then some stupid thing happens and the enemy will sound the alarm. :> (though, I got *a lot* better by now. Probably also because of D-Dog. His enemy spotting ability is so very useful.)

I finally got the Quiet companion in MGS5 and... lel, this is so stupid. Kojima really went fully over the top with this bs again. Besides, she really isn't very quiet if you got her as your buddy... actually she is very annoying, imo. D-Dog is the best / most useful companion so far, imo. Haven't really tested the D-Walker yet, but if he can also spot enemies in a certain radius around you, he might as well have a little more use than the other characters.

I dunno, so far I have seen nothing Fallout in this Mad Max game. Other than the leather jacket maybe, which is taken from the movies anyway. The atmosphere in the Mad Max game is really nothing like Fallout. The setting is too different, except for "there is lots of sand".

But what if they were just lucky.

You can still cancle the order and then buy it again. I needed the two orders combined (game and book) to qualify for free shipping. If I cancel the order and re-order each separately, the book order won't meet the free shipping requirement. In any case, I e-mailed them to complain and now they're separating my order and shipping when each individual item is available, but not charging me for the extra shipping. So I guess that works. Heh, in germany book orders are always free of shipping costs, no matter the price. At least on Amazon... No idea if it's a general thing.. Usually only buy my books on Amazon.

"some older CPUs" .. wouldn't call my CPU old yet. :> At least I could fix it on day 1 with the beta patch. Also I was able to fix the horrible screen tearing yesterday (forcing vsync and tripple buffering via NVIDIA settings + setting the game to fullscreen mode). Other than that, the game runs 100% fluid on my machine. No stuttering or fps drops at all. Additionally, the game plays great with a 360 gamepad. Phantom Pain plays exactly how I imagined it- Peace Walker with better graphics and less loading screens.

You can do the same. I think it was something like left analog stick to the left/right and pressing x (playing with 360 gamepad, no idea how it is on keyboard). This makes your car "strafe" to the side and hit them hard. Also maybe you'll have to upgrade your car a bit if you haven't done it yet.

Google tells me a truckton of people are having issues with MGS5 - mainly, the game crashes on startup. And I belong to the group of worthy people. Guess that's it with playing MGS5 today... Let's see when and if there will be a patch for that. Patching of Ground Zeroes was pretty low-priority, if I remember right.

Started Mad Max while MGS5 is downloading. So far it's not that bad, and I think the graphics are solid. The desert landscape looks pretty nice and driving the vehicle is fun so far. Though, I accidentally wasted 3 shotgun shells already because I accidentally pressed the B key....

I think the non-sexualized original woman who was the face-model for Quiet looks super pretty. There really wasn't any need to give her such a silly outfit.

After reading the Valis trilogy I realized you have to read him as if reality as we know it, is just something we happened to agree on and therefore should we agree on something different, everything is up for graps. He's like the zanier Star Trek episodes - on drugs. The Man in the High Castle is awesome, but I didn't liked the ending. Interestingly, I usually don't like the ending of any PKD book.

You should play Factorio. The results could be interesting.

When I read about the uneven use of the etiquette checks, I am always wondering why they didn't do a location-checklist like e.g. in the old Van Buren design documents. Somehow feels to me as if they made the checks up while going, and didn't really tried to make them all feel useful.

I always only took argonian ships. Simply loved their design way more than any other. Would actually love to start a new game again as well, but it just requires way too much time until you are able to get to the cool stuff...
