  1. What's this crazy talk ? Don't you know they need us to tell them to make a good plot, create good female characters, do proper QA, etc., etc.
  2. They do clean up threads when people are being 'rude' to others, maybe your concept of 'rude' posts doesn't mesh with theirs ?

  4. It'd be neat to have an out of shape character, can't run for any notable period of times with out huffing and puffing.

  7. Would you really be seeing all that much of them, based on the perspective though ? Given that, just have to worry about the way they're written.
  8. Well, if you're using Firefox, adblock the images, simple. Depends on the avatar though, some sort of weird epilepsy inducing one would probably get nixed by a mod.
  9. Specialized ammunition and grenades would be a nice addition, and you having to make them, but oh well. Lost a bunch of guys due to a car explosion, had to abort and evac the 3 survivors, so my current game looks like a failure. Shame too, I got a Major and got the Squaddie bonus for all new guys - which actually sucks as I have 8 or 9 snipers.
  10. The messages he left about US foreign policy might indicate he's not actually a conspiracy nut that much and that's just being played up to make him sympathetic. Wonder if they can sue him for damages though ?
  11. Well, they could add a minigun, autocannon from the original. Or ammo types, maybe.
  12. Maybe we'll get DLC to add some more inventory slots. Although I guess it'll just be new alien types and guns.
  13. That's kind of a shame, especially since lasers can burn out light cover (something the AI seems to mystically do to my troops all the time incidentally) or just use it to torch a vehicle.

  19. Well am trying to brush up on the language, doing little silly exercises or some problems from ACSL back in the day, but a nice small project might be cool to do.
  20. Ah ok, well hmph, that's kind of disappointing but can think of why they did it that way. I wish I could pick the specialty the troops fall into, it seems random to me but might be otherwise. The flush ability the Assault troops get is great, well assuming the overwatch shots actually hit
  21. This was pretty huge news last week, it is Chris Roberts and the game's ambition is impressive (potentially over-reaching). But yes, C&C is the forum for it, to play junior forum moderator. He really should have used KS, might have withstood the hits, better.

  24. As I play I have to snicker at the visuals of shooting through walls or cars, LOS doesn't match up with the actual map it seems. For the abduction missions, are the aliens placed on the map at the start or do you trigger their spawning ?
