  1. As a comment said, people downvote to get theirs in the top 5. Reddit's meta-moderation sometimes works, heh.
  2. Yeah there's lots of requests for all kinds of assorted junk, only things that matters is what the developers say. If you liked BG and PS:T, that should be enough for you to jump in, I'd say.
  3. Well, unfortunately, those prices are still greater than zero.
  4. Whiney bunch in here. OP starts off with it I suppose - early days to be wondering "Will this game be too hard for me?" Put it on easy, if such a setting will exist, and give it your best shot. Or as they say in EVE, HTFU.
  5. Best we can hope for. Well, maybe, if you try to hit on a party member he or she will just leave the group and/or try to assault you or kill you - depending on how repeated said attempts are.
  6. Hm, relying on the upvotes can be dicey - I suppose an AMA would have been more fruitful but still is nice to be able to question developers of this calibre.
  7. Eh, improve the game, well that's up to the player I suppose, doing it right would probably chew time better spent in this case. But alright I stand corrected, usually when people use belong it implies some necessity in my experience. Also, is Merin a moderator yet ?
  8. Well, to be fair, looking at games it's a reasonable expectation that romance = boinking blue alien/busty witch/etc. Romance 'belonging' - I assume you mean it must be present by this - I'm not too agreeable with. More like fluff, to me, ignoring the weirdness that some people get into regarding it. It's not really a sign that the medium is maturing, good stories to the games and well crafted worlds is probably a better sign for this genre at least (games 'maturing' is pretty nebulous and one of those things you find in high minded articles, I think). As for movies, err, not really sure that's the case, and it's different as movies aren't interactive as games are.
  9. Hm, last time I tried wasn't able to return a PC game, well unless you carefully repackage it and trick them that way, heh.
  10. I'm guessing some are apathetic, others are the frothy raging kind. Would be funny if some of them actually WERE Scene members
  11. That's pretty creepy. Well both wanting to see Twinkie in a tshirt and the mouth stuffing
  12. Have you seen all the polls ? I don't think 'we' do, based on that, heh.
  13. Nothing, I've given the most I'm comfortable with.
  14. This is hilarious: Well, I guess that saves Obsidian from having to dedicate 4 NPCs to being love interests. At BSN - .... and I suddenly feel a disturbance in the force. Isn't that your kin, thought that comment (said in jest I'm sure) would elicit joy from you. I do agree with one of the comments there where the romance would be depressing and grimdark, heh.
  15. It's odd but amusing how they never let it go. One thing they should do is just disable polls in this forum, heh. Oh and for a snicker - http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/371/index/14235800/8#14245252
  16. Can't really think of all that many mature romances in games. I guess Guybrush-Elaine counts, at least.
  17. Should be a good feature, could have them just take off and try to flee the map preventing you from having to go and hunt them all down if they're shattered enough. Them surrendering is also a nice idea.
  18. Humanoid has the gist of it. I suppose you could hear of the impact of what you did without mentioning you if it was of note to the town you were in or even wider after a believable time has passed.
  19. Hey, we're entitled to tell them as without our money they'd have no project. So really, they owe us. Super thin skinned guy starting the thread with a plea to not get wound up is a plus too. In a way, can't wait for the buzz about this to die off while they work, might get less of these "suggestions" from people.
  20. They have Nexus for $3.99, hm, $1 less than I paid for it on Steam - I feel ripped off.
  21. Here's hoping someone doesn't come up with "I don't have the time". Rogue Trader game fell apart like that, le sigh. Maybe he just found we sucked at RP'ing though
  22. Another day with the untermensch I label as 'clients', depresses me further that they make more money than me. But a fun night of Powerpoint slides, then a game of some sort.
  23. Ah, such drama. Then again I'm jaded about my company (refuse to say that "we" nonsense)
