  1. I liked the ending to Max Payne 2, the DOA one is the good as Max's life sucks slightly less. Deus Ex's Tong ending was the best, out of all the three the Illuminati one sucks, you end up as a high ranking pawn it seemed. I agree with LadyCrimson about the ending to Borderlands, friend and I played it co-op and we just said "Uhm..so about that vault?" then saw the satellite and the Claptrap ninja.
  2. NHL

It's so fun to laugh at Leafs fans around town here, even more so when they say they're true fans (rather than cows to be milked).
  3. Drat, left Alpha Centauri off. Hm, too many games that I love, hehe.
  4. You lie! You lie! Anyway, to fit in, I shall do as others do. Dawn of War 2 Grim Fandango Monkey Island series Full Throttle X-Wing series Wing Commander series (except Prophecy..eh) C&C series up to C&C 3 Total Annihilation Rainbow Six series up to Raven Shield Ghost Recon and it's expansions Operation Flashpoint Fallout 1 & 2, Civilization series Nemesis : Jupiter Incident Supreme Commander & Forged Alliance The Witcher Homeworld Deus Ex Anachronox Dungeon Keeper 2 Caesar series Rome Total War, Medieval 2
  5. Where's Deckard when you need him
  6. They should do like Obsidian did and supply a 'hardcore' mode of the game.
  7. In that case, I'd pay for the core and then get the dlc's reloaded.
  8. Not for me anyway, since his video on The Witcher I've been of the opinion he's crap.
  9. Which would be good, as it is meant as a joke to only offend the super tender Pink's a nice colour though, I'm tempted to get a pink set of laces for my winter boot, but can't find one, most odd.
  10. Yahtzee must die in a fire, then have his charred corpse drawn and quartered for his sacrilegious comments. That's at least worth 6/10.
  11. Replaying The Witcher, maybe I'll try a magic build.
  12. Was anyone arguing about their own superiority, though ? Although it would be amusing to me to see a developer say that he's making his games easier for the impatient Another interview with Dugas, audio this time, sheds a bit more info. http://www.platformnation.com/2010/11/10/d...francois-dugas/
  13. In an ideal world, yep.
  14. This nation did produce 40k, hmm. Second thought on this was "Burn the witch, not salt them".
  15. Never played the game in question, but given a map the player can see himself and his orientation (or a compass display) you can describe whereabouts they can find the objective no ? And you're claiming he's butthurt and acting bitter ? Heh, nice. If you gave up because you found DX too hard (how one could?...I've no farking clue), while I'm not sure one could say you're stupid, but that's pretty sad in any case to just toss your toys out.
  16. Weird to say that about a quest, you can log the text, write it decently well and ta-da, the player has enough to figure out what to do, the world is static usually. An arrow seems like laziness on both sides When I hear making action more engaging, I think of Vegas and Dragon Rising, hah.
  17. Aside, one game that had a neat way of handling cover in FP was Viet Cong. You'd go behind an object or whatever, but would be covered to other players, using your iron sights would raise you up over or to the side of the cover so you could shoot. Was neat, but wasn't as much of a cheat as the system done by ME2, etc. Or at least I remember it like that.
  18. Allowing you to conveniently see exactly where the guys you're out of LOS from are. Woo, no coffee leads to typos.

    Frank Klepacki, woo!
  20. Better late than never for outrage.
  21. No, but giving up on a game immediately because it's 'too hard' for you is pretty stupid behaviour when all it needs is time and persistence, after all. Dugas' little spiel there touched on people quitting Deus Ex based on Liberty Island, although I highly doubt people can be that feeble. "Your making games that are less complex than they once were simply so they can be understood by people who drool on themslves when they talk" You're reading that quote the wrong way. Saying they dumb it down so any idiot can play it, isn't saying people that like the games are stupid. The bar is very low, that's all, heh. I'd like to see an example of inaccessible game - that is, one a player simply cannot play, other than physical disability. So pushing that bar lower isn't needed and in the long end it's not beneficial to players (easier things are, you sort of suffer from a form of atrophy). What is wrong with elitism, anyway ? You end up thinking one group is scum, they think you're a jerkbag. Pretty much a normal situation, really.
  22. That's not a feeling, it's simply an acceptance of reality.
  23. Or people just think they see it. Mostly entitlement, though, especially here re: any complaint or displeasure with a design choice. Although I guess I am elitist in thinking those that put the time and effort in are indeed better than those that don't
