  1. Still not too sure on the defend and justify, but one's free to think their own. Just amusing to label and class people, though I'm surprised he's not accusing people of being paid shills.
  2. Never actually seen that, myself. Mostly nostalgia is thrown about when someone mentions things they don't like about the New Game regardless of the detail. And in any event, hardly harmful or bad in anyway - the game has no feelings, the developers probably don't care about you anyway and you're missing out on the chance to give $60 to some company, nothing vital. Reflexively thinking all new games suck is something separate I find, more a symptom of one tiring of the industry rather than the specific game being remade for the new generation. Well that or just being grousy.
  3. It's blue oby vs red oby. Man, oby has become powerful, apparently he has his own "bunch" now
  4. PCG interview. Or what passes for it from that mag these days. http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/04/22/dragon-age-inquisition-interview-on-fan-feedback-romance-returning-characters-and-the-open-world/
  5. Hm, I can see a major conflict erupting that won't involve nuclear weapons being exchanged. As it'll probably be fighting over some other piece of turf, and obliterating yourself in that case probably isn't worth it. I could imagine one doing that if one is being invaded and has no chance of victory. Then again, what do you class as a 'major' conflict, in any case ? Hardly naive to assume infantry will still be playing a role and be necessary. Amazing what snarky **** you all are, though.
  6. Well...beats eyes up, chin down, I suppose.
  7. DX:HR was easy to go through with no quest markers, the highlighting was obnoxious compared to bracketing but eh, not that bad. Still wonder at why people in these games design such colossal air ducts.
  8. I can't see the makeup market being very viable in 40k.

  10. He was just giving the aide dating advice, not a big deal.
  11. Moebius, about to the point where I left off in the betas. Game's a bit too easy, I find. Ah well, it's not horrendous but being a backer I am probably biased.
  12. The exciting battle for fourth rages on, wanted United to win but at the same time watching their decline this year has been most satisfying.
  13. I just wish you could change your social policies in Civ V, but oh well.
  14. Sinister quote of the day. Taken out of context that quote would have the FBI trolling this board in a second. Who am I kidding, they already are here watching Val, WoD & me! Pft. They can get far worse stuff than that....
  15. Wonder what it is about kids and screaming. Neighborhood has some young girls that play in the street and it's nothing but shrieking from them. Sets my dachshunds off barking when they do, so neighbours must love those moments Should be productive today, a lot of stuff to clean.
  16. Well it does say it is threatened by the system being bent by money (hard to find one that isn't, I suppose) rather than it not being one. People only have a say every couple of years after all, all they do is control which people end up rather than the 'end' of decisions being made and so on.
  17. Usual practice, it's like robbing someone who leaves their door unlocked. Sort of.
  18. Yeah, wars are won by air forces alone.

    Easter

Well in terms of the date sure, but the religious aspect of Easter is a bit more than that.
  20. It'll be funny in a 'real' (not like the thousands dying in these police actions and flashpoints matter) war to see how quickly each side runs out of ammunition. Think Israel ran into supply problems in 2006, US did as well in Iraq.
  21. I should travel someplace for vacation. Thinking Portland or NYC. But have a feeling I'll have no such luck.
  22. I'm down for this
  23. No kidding, that crappy double barreled shotty. Argh!!
  24. http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/JaneJensen/20140414/215473/WRITING_HOT_MEN_FOR_GAMES_Yes_please.php Jane Jensen on why you should write hot guys in your games. Heh, kind of funny for her to be asked why she never writes strong female characters in her games, that reporter must have been pretty ignorant of who she is.
