Is there still no world cup thread? (the sequel)
Nah, Eduardo's career recovered a bit. i still chuckle that the guy that broke Diaby's leg is now in a call center, or was.

Definitely need a new name for that game, Shallow Space, sheesh. Also in the vein of oddly named games http://www.wingsofstnazaire.com/ - space shooter like X-Wing/WC/FS Alpha is available to play.

Is there still no world cup thread? (the sequel)
I said it reminds me of them, not that you did, as they bring up the comparison as a reason why the bite isn't bad. No one said they want to get a back injury over a bite, either. It does look like a really clumsy attempt to get the ball that had a bad ending, but the kind of thing you see a lot (aerial challenge with a forearm across the other guy's shoulder or neck is a common one). Should have been booked for it, is a really clumsy tackle and worth a yellow. It is funny that if it were some Bosnian or Honduran, no one would give a damn, heh.

Is there still no world cup thread? (the sequel)
Reminds of the demented Liverpool fans out to defend Suarez after the incident, saying it should get less penalty than a red for violent conduct, etc. A tackle gone wrong is a lot different from one intended to injure (see Witsel's famous one for an example) or just plain biting/spitting/punching someone.

I was surprised he didn't get one for shoving Shaqiri out of the way. I guess he's not a saint like Kaka

What they should do is ban the chap who did a job on Neymar for a couple of months. While not wanting to say that Suarez' punishment was undeserved. what Zuniga did sure was a lot worse. See stuff like that a lot, especially in the EPL, don't think there was real malice in it and it really warranted a yellow card. But Zuniga is a nobody so they can lay it to him easy, I suppose.

Rumors that Suarez will get a reduction in his punishment. Funny if true.

Seemed less adventurous than their games against Uruguay or Italy. Well could have been worse, imagine if Greece had made it.

Eh, that's not all bad, at least not when the office air conditioning doesn't work very well and cold drinks are provided at the farewell 'parties.' (2 retirement parties in the last 2 weeks, here... a lot of co-workers even older than me, yup.) They always pick some crappy bar to go have the drinks at. Lots of beer snobs or pretenders to that at my work, so I guess the beer selection trumps the crappy service, poor seating, average food. Expensive too

Yeah, so is Neymar. And doesn't have players like Mascherano and Zabaleta on his team. Haven't really been impressed by them had to work hard to beat Iran, didn't put away Nigeria as expected, etc. But at least they're a bit better defensively than in 2010.
