  1. Not necessarily - they use trucks to transport goods that aren't designed to take AT rounds, for example, so not all military gear has to be set up to run through a battle zone. Not too sure what kind of glass can resist an RPG or 30mm cannon fire though - existing landing craft have that vulnerability, at least from a report from 1991 on them. And other forces will have to suppress defenders in these kinds of landings.
  2. Black boxes will just confirm that the plane suffered damage consistent with that of a missile attack, at best. Which is pretty much where we are now. Maybe some voice recordings if the pilots pointed out "Hey, a missile coming from the right!" or something like that.

  5. Well, had a suspicion of who that was, so was reverse searching to check Also.
  6. Well it's either the incompetence of him needing to clarify that when he should be aware he's being recorded most likely, if it's real, or the incompetence of the forgery if it's not. Either way is amusing.
  7. http://www.9news.com.au/world/2014/07/21/16/16/rebels-discuss-black-box-search-over-phone Good thing he made it nice and clear in the open
  8. Hard to not expose the pilot to fire in any lander, though, in the currently used LCACs it's pretty exposed too. But from searching around this does seem to be a demonstration of the propulsion system and has another round of development to go through.
  9. Hit groceries late but worked out ok. Though there was no bacon left for my pizza.

Ah ok, I see that. One good thing..well ok the only good thing the new Flashpoint games had was that radial command menu for your squad, was quite convenient.
  12. Well outrage is selective always. But this is different due to the victims not being related to the conflict in any way.

What in particular ? I mainly tool around with the editor but have fun with it. AI is still terrible at driving and some movement. Been a while since I was on BIS though
  14. Well, just because a government is elected means it's better than armed rebels, is what he meant. Very rosy view of the "good" rebels though and who knows the influence the West had there fully - is in their interest in the game to interfere, after all. As for who did it, well with incompetence as a cause it still could be anyone really - 3 sides all have these weapon and people that plausibly use them - though rebels have more reason to shoot at things so it's likely them.
  15. no doubt. if the government always lies to you, then you predictably become dubious 'bout anything and everything the government claims. however, knowing the root cause doesn't change the fact that those folks who has been lied to so frequent now grab a hold o' even the wackiest conspiracy theories to explain events. HA! Good Fun! Well is degrees - not every theory that goes against official statements is tinfoil type stuff. So far for this, I've seen that the Ukranian military f'd up and the US is covering for them, or that it was Ukranian fighter aircraft in the area and all for a frame of Russia. Baseless probably, but not as wacky as the one where the plan was chock full of corpses BEFORE it was blown up and crashed to make it seem like it was shot down
  16. "The game is set on a UAC research facility on Mars, but the story doesn't seem to be a focus as of yet." Heh, "yet".
  17. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/18/cnn-diana-magnay-israel-gaza_n_5598866.html Silly to remove her for that.
  18. Guess that arises from official sources lying so much in those places.
  19. Yep, much like GTA 4 had some of that.
  20. I guess it was to make torture in the name of fighting terrorism uncomfortable as you're not working with Paladin Bauer and things aren't clear cut - the instructions to off a guy with a beard and who is left handed, etc.
  21. "Survivors are unlikely"......the plane was shot down 10 km up by a missile Come on guys, this may be a forum dedicated to a fantasy game but lets try to sometimes discuss things that are at least feasible..at least in the Off Topic section? Unlikely as in a low probability, but you never know until you check - strange things happen, after all.
  22. Survivors are unlikely, is probably just laziness or assumption that they announced that they confirmed it quickly.
  23. So black box is on it's way to the Russians, but they say they have no intentions of keeping it. Though I wonder if it's needed at this point, US have already confirmed it was a missile attack (but then again that might be a case of that needing to be done regardless, heh).
