  1. Well, oil and gas aren't the only gain. States at a certain level are playing a game between each other, after all. But I don't believe any of them do things out of the goodness of their hearts.
  2. Really ? I've seen it on some game sites, was big on Reddit last week. The censorship stuff with Germany helped it out. Glad Obsidian's making some cash off it, not going to play it myself. Far too much D3, though I'm hitting Act 2 a lot and that'll help cut down on my playtime, heh.
  3. Why not, is a pretty fair assumption., Or do you believe the West does things because it's right and just ? They need something out of it, after all.
  4. It's definitely more fun to watch than baseball, though.
  5. Nothing I've not read several times elsewhere, so I am pretty meh about her. Her sneering face and the smug voice do put me off, but that's what transcripts are for.
  6. Those who like her give me the sense it would take a lot to turn their minds from her. I doubt this will matter that much to neutral folk. And it is not like she is the only one on this stuff. RPS and Stirling seem to have cover, heh.
  7. I think I've gone overboard with my DH, have almost 800k toughness. Only 123k DPS though, boo.
  8. Had fun assaulting ice on the sidewalks with a shovel. Sure people looked at me strange bashing it with glee, but eh - it's a slow day.
  9. So what should they have done ?
  10. Well, it makes for good tumblr material.
  11. It is funny how often both of them like fancy academic labels for people. Likewise for some arguments, such as one cannot be a feminist and a male, only an 'ally' with weird servile tones to it. Though I mainly read the subreddit so some skew there.
  12. Probably is, not like the invasions, drone programs and what not are long since past (well ok, drones are still ongoing) so it's not unfair for most people to recall that and snicker a bit at the US scolding Russia. But the kind of feeling isn't uniquely applied to the US.
  13. Heh, wouldn't say it's deflecting - I mean look where we are. But most of it is just amusement at Kerry saying "invading nations is bad" given Iraq, etc. Depressing reality of foreign affairs, I guess
  14. Well, if you think about it, no one really can talk about others based on their past actions. US has interfered in places, invaded others (stuff like Panama, Grenade, Iraq, etc.) and so has Russia and any other nation with any clout. All this moralizing is just BS, in that way.
  15. Some guy made a typo and now an entire release cycle is shot. Rather amusing even if it means I get grief
  16. Not sure if this is the same base or not but BBC is reporting a seizure what is believed to be Russian troops at the Ukrainian A2355 base near Sevastopol: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-26492053 Pretty aggressive action for alleged self-defence forces. Well, the best defence is a good offence.
  17. But those are what makes meeting with friends worthwhile. Going to take my last midterm, take a nap, then go out. Sadly left her without a fist fight. Well there's always next week.
  18. So, they've stormed an air force base and are demanding the Ukranians surrender, according to Twitter posts.
  19. Nice backhand. Anyway, meant bias as in a lot of Canadians tend to use Reddit, so that'd increase the likelihood of it showing there. I guess there is something to be said for Canada speaking up so much as well, from them it'll be interpreted differently than if the US said something.
  20. Popped up on the world news feed on Reddit I was following, probably a bias to that. This was an interesting read - http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-26468720
  21. I just hate deserts Act 1 is my favourite, like running around in the absolutely ludicrous Cathedral or Leoric's Manor.
  22. Going for lunch with a Russian friend, with luck no violent arguments will ensue this time.
  23. Yep, which makes it even less notable but it still made the news.
  24. Probably, just be escorted out by the police and sent out. I doubt they'll refuse to leave. Plays well for the government, already have people fist pumping over Canada standing up to the Russians or some such nonsense (add in "We're doing this and the US does nothing, we're badass!" for extra laughs).
