  1. http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/uganda-tabloid-publishes-top-homosexuals-list-after-anti-gay-law-signing-1.2550260?cmp=fbtl So absurd it's actually kind of funny. Wonder if they have a Homosexual Watch List too, for travellers.
  2. Well, he claimed stating that the media (I assume mainstream, anyway) in the US is used by the state was made up, so he might very well believe that there's no influence on the press by the government, so that's why I asked the question. Haven't had much exposure to Russian press as it is inside Russia, have seen RT though.
  3. I have them near my iron mines and quarries. At 10x speed a beautiful symphony of clucking and clanking.
  4. Ah ok, well I guess I'll tear them down and replace them with farms or pastures. Micromanaging the pastures is fun, have one for breeding and one I'll just slaughter all of once they are full for the meat (well at least for cattle, sheep produce that wool I never seem to have enough of for warm coats). Speaking of coats, talk about crappy workmanship, they need to be replaced every 3 months it seems based on consumption.
  5. Yeah, not like the game's getting it from elsewhere. Someone had posted a critique of a Russian LP of the game, Reddit moderators didn't like that, either. You can still gather some feedback from a LP, though, but I guess it needed some yahoo with an accent talking over it to make it useful.
  6. Wait, you believe the US media isn't part of any propaganda efforts ?
  7. Are Orchards worth the time ? Not seeing much return from them. Also, my people drink a lot of booze. 200 units of ale I got from a trader were gone in 3 months or so
  8. Well, actually it was a fairly loaded question.
  9. Hm, was going to disagree and say the English would have gone for something a bit subtler. But interiors at Windsor and Buckingham are pretty flash.
  10. Well, that list sounds interesting, so much so it's too good to be implemented.
  11. Thief forum moderators are especially loyal to The Company.
  12. I was tempted to bring up a troll thread from 2005 that I started that turned out pretty well, as an example. Decided against it because... no real point. But yeah, funny how the memory works. Can't remember the name of this coworker I need to talk to or that formula that I absolutely need for this exam... but remember vividly some silly discussion from ten years ago. I still recall keybindings from X-Wing back in 1994, yet I can't remember how to do quicksort.
  13. First off, was talking about people who are already against the romance and how they view you people and your desire for this feature in the game. And you would think this was a fight, based on this topic being around since the campaign was started last year. People are very ardently for a feature where your avatar gets to work with an algorithm to output the desired romantic text on their screen.
  14. I always knew there was something off about you.
  15. Still remember some guy bringing up something from 8 years previous to burn me with, was pretty funny though.
  16. Talk about gaudy. Would expect that to belong to some one from Dubai
  17. Somehow I can't see it getting that wide ranging for this issue. President said that they don't need the US aid for HIV/AIDS and that they can raise the money elsewhere, heh. But he could also be full of it. Not giving them money is fine, not really actively trying to influence their internal policies in that case.
  18. Well, I suppose 3 months or so isn't that old to dig up something to burn him with.
  19. It is broadly supported. But what has that got to do with morality of putting people in jail for consensual sex? In Rwanda the majority of people also supported the genocide and in Cambodia the Khmer Rouge also had popular support. Okay, a bit of a leap to go from a law jailing people for being homosexual to two genocides. If it's widely supported, then beating them with the stick might not help reverse their decision, sadly.
  20. Wonder if it's popular with Ugandans generally.
  21. Interesting dreams involving me dealing with demon possessed old women then somehow battling freakish headcrab like parasites in power armour sure was a good start to the day. But am watching the closing ceremony at work, so it's not all that bad.
  22. Well, overtly offensive statements are one thing, but you'd be surprised at the crap people find 'hurtful' (see the dickwolves outrage, for example, silly joke about MMORPGs but was insulting to some even before the reaction). And really, people being mean online is a 'social justice' issue ?
  23. One of the pro-romance freaks posted something along that line in the PE subforum during the campaign ,it was also fine with the moderators.
  24. Problem is, it's you determining what is hurtful and offensive.
  25. Yep. Never hurts to have too much. I guess all those uneducated nomads wrecked productivity as well as spiking demand. Will have to learn how to make good layouts as well, current town looks inefficient
