Well for forums the solution isn't to have a "safe space" just for them but to just moderate the forum - men will be catching abuse from other men and that needs dealing with so a catch all helps. For games themselves, meh, easy enough to have a moderated servers run by communities or just play with friends. For MMOGs, that's a bit harder as well, they have to leave their "safe space" some time - and that's not helping the community at all get better, for whatever metric one wants to use for that.

Don't bring up the Star Citizen issue as an example of anything. Too much aura of SA/Goons at play in that thread for it to really be on the up and up.

Well, that's not what I said (I was talking about Skyrim), but it is the same world as any other Fallout game, and they are pretty well-regarded. The game has skill checks, choices & consequences, crafting, difficult combat, various ways to approach a situation... everything that made Fallout so popular can be found in Fallout 3. But people hate on it because "it's Oblivion with guns" (which is so far from the truth it hurts). And then they like on New Vegas which had so many problems. To be sure, I love both games and yes, I love them for different things. Saying one is one of the best RPGs and the other a completely crappy one is beyond ridiculous, however. Forget how well the C&C was done in Fallout 3 as it's been 6 years or so, but do recall the game world being rather dull creeping around the drab city with invisible walls or the tunnels teeming with zombies. That and the hubs seeming rather disconnected and the BoS and Enclave showing up somehow. Anyway, to each his own.

Taking a break from murdering people in the Guild 2 to fiddle with Arma 2 a bit more. This time in OA, making various little scenarios. Amazing how terrible the AI is at driving and dealing with ambushes while in a vehicle (poor UN troops getting slaughtered).

Nice, played a bit after the patch and got a cindercoat. Sadly all my gear is elemental arrow (+33% dmg) and the fire elemental arrow kinda sucks.

Canada apparently is deploying JTF2 as well (Cons have to make a big play of this as it's good politics). Will be interesting to see how this turns out.
