11 people killed at a French satirical Newspaper

Nice. -
They were also bred to be annoying little ****s in the presence of strange people they've yet to meet. So ? That reaction is called for in the presence of potential enemies.

Boko Haram and the kidnpping of the school girls

Well, both have done bad things. Just one is done as part of the games States play. Big deal. -
Dachshunds were bred to be hunters that would go into badger dens, canine tunnel rats. Mine, however, are still planning on how to break into the fridge

It does create enclaves of other cultures I find, which is wrong to me in the degrees I see it here (like gathering with like is just how we are). Street signs in Chinese or Korean or whatever with the English secondary. -
Samusenko was Ukrainian I believe. But she was pretty in that photo, I found. Weird story though, was in the army at age 12, died age 23. Also was the officer that an American linked up with. Only one to fight on the US and Soviet sides in the war, for three months or so.

Finished off Gray Matter. That last stage was most annoying due to loading screens, but was a fun puzzle overall. The game sure accelerates towards the end, did realize what was going on pretty early but still felt pretty rushed. Was rather disappointed with the direction the ending took, would have preferred something other than the all-to-common jump at the end by the antagonist. But, was decent enough fun, liked Sam and Styles as protagonists. Now on to..*checks GOG backlog*....hm.

Always weird things after terrorist attacks - http://www.dailystar.com.lb/News/Lebanon-News/2015/Jan-09/283552-takfiri-groups-offended-prophet-mohammad-more-than-the-cartoons-mocking-him.ashx -

Wonder how the woman at the supermarket managed to escape with all those cops there. -

Okay, that was wrong. Way to go France24, though I suppose I was dumb to listen. Apparently all hostages okay, hostage takers dead and one GIGN officer wounded. -

Well glad the hostage was freed or so I hear (am watching France24), I suppose it is next to impossible to take them alive, but would have been nice to not have them as martyrs. France24 saying everyone in the supermarket was killed. Damn. -

Here's hoping they take these fools alive. https://twitter.com/FRANCE24/status/553554750080573440/photo/1 Apparently no one dead in the store -
Cute, but not really. Was expecting the cows to have swastika patterns - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2897239/The-HERD-Reich-Farmer-forced-rid-Hitler-s-Nazi-cows-super-aggressive-breed-tried-kill-staff.html

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/01/06/grey-goo-release-date/ RPS preview of Grey Goo. Seems promising, even if Meer seems to suck at the game.

Silly to pause it at that point, as if to tease the viewer with it. Do feel the intention is somewhat relevant, if one cartoon was the problem it's not a problem to point out "They are offended at this", you're not aiming at provoking them but just reporting. It's been done when Christians are offended at something or the other and that was it. Actually CBC showed the cop being executed with his arm raised but blurred out slightly, several times, heh, before they commented on their refusal to show the cartoon. Watching reactions to this online has been interesting, although the sites themselves are probably biased toward more loud and dramatic people. -

Not seeing this is as on the level of showing people dying in sadistic ways or other recordings of torture, though I see your point. -

I am really doubtful they'd publish images insulting Jews in mainstream media here, well, NA, anyway. Christians possibly, but I can't readily recall any example recently. A bit silly to not show it even when reporting on the story as it can be helpful to know what the fuss was about, though -

Well, the claim about it stopping terrorism for 40 years is a bit amusing, like the bear preventing rock in the Simpsons. http://www.snopes.com/rumors/pershing.asp Who knows if it's true, I'm partly inclined to believe it's hokum though. -
Journalism and sexism in the games industry

Huh, so Intel is 'partnering' with Sarkeesian. Not exactly sure what she offers them practically, but I guess the PR will work wonders on some. Do wonder how that'll work though, hard to really "buy" diversity. I suppose they can subject their employees to seminars and posters and what not to teach them to be the Right Kind.
