What you did today
I tormented an OCD coworker by moving his monitor and phone a couple of inches to the left or right before he got in. Got a good laugh out his ranting at the janitors for touching his stuff for a couple of days.

What you did today
Should have rifled through everyone's desks for good stuff to steal. Off work today, so I did cleaning. Also having a good snigger at the moderation of this forum today.

It is like the attempts at burns you get in CS in 99. That is the true tragedy of GG - poor insults.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt [2014]
http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/33354-Interviews-and-Articles-2015?p=1542435&viewfull=1#post1542435 There are many different types of additional weapons to pick up, many of which unlock at higher levels. Weapons (including swords) will not last forever and can be destroyed if used too frequently or heavily; you will need to regularly visit a craftsman in order to maintain them. The HUD is very customizable. There are several options available, including turning off the mini-map and all sorts of notifications. All graphical settings are present in the in-game menu. Enemies will parry crossbow bolts with shields. The game’s skill tree is massive. There are four or five trees, each having five tiers divided into five skills. Every skill has three or four levels to unlock. Even though Geralt will gain more skill points per level later in the game, it’ll still be impossible to unlock everything. After unlocking skills, they must be activated. This is done by placing them in a separate tree, which contains a limited number of slots. Activated skills affect Geralt’s fighting style, and activating a set of skills from the same category will increase its overall effects. It adds another layer to preparations and tactical planning, as players have to choose an appropriate set of active skills depending on what kind of opponent you are going to face (for example, with heavily armored knights, you can activate the Igni upgrade that allows you to melt armors). There are four slots for mutagens, which also affect your abilities. Temporary companions are quite helpful and even use different fighting styles. For example, one woman that accompanied one playthrough waited for the right moment while enemies were focused on Geralt to stab them in the back for considerable damage. The game is “pretty difficult”, and you can die frequently even on easy if you’re not careful. With regards to dynamic weather: there will be snow, different phases of day/night, different stages of cloudiness, storms, a few types of rain and even a morning mist. The enemy AI is “really good”. Wolves and bandits spread to cut off all of Geralt’s escape routes. If you kill their respective leaders, they end up completely disorganized. One enemy can use himself as bait to give the rest of his squad a chance to put Geralt in a corner. If you set up a trap or Yrden sign in front of the enemy, they will actively avoid it. NPC models are very diverse and the interior of every hut looks different

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Eh, I dunno about small. Walker decided to go on a rant on them not being silenced by...uh...some people or something as they speak out on social justice issues. Entertaining interview, but have to feel this was just them being a little late to the dogpile. But by all means, keep shilling for RPS.

Ukraine Discussion
Just that sanctions, providing material assistance to Ukraine and a lot of rhetoric (granted seems to be Canada yapping the most out of all) doesn't seem like much more is needed to come across as 'provocation'. Now I'm sure I'll get a response that is just 'justice' or some permutation thereof.

What you did today
Got a good laugh of a client pretty much blowing their leg off and then asking us about it. Tables just don't disappear from a database, so either someone was experimenting or was trying to sabotage the install, heh. But half day, so I took off and didn't bother to see how it all ended.

Well, aside from your usual fellating of posts, I must say this was amusing. What does the West want to be seen as doing right now, then ?

Violence has picked up, funny how ceasefires always do that. But here's hoping it will last, next step is the West arming random people to fight and that's worked out quite well in recent years, heh.

Ukraine Discussion
It's not going to last... like the other half-dozen before it... Apparently Russia sneaked 90 vehicles across the border just after it was reached. Well, so says Kiev - from their words I think Russia has about 40-50,000 troops in there now.

Modern wars
Well, doesn't seem they have much choice if technical problems arise, and their fallback isn't that terrible. So perhaps they still will fear an assault by the US or UK as much as before, anyway.

Gaming history - do you think it's important?
Heh, was going to mention this sounded like something felipepepe from Codex was working on when I saw the title. Gaming history, hm, well I guess it is interesting and I feel people involved in the hobby should at least be aware of some big things - a shooter fan not knowing of Carmack and Doom is just wrong to me - that affected it in some way or helped grow the industry. As for playing classic games, ideally they would be available so one could try them and see what was the fuss, though through a lens of looking back I imagine a lot must be lost. Some kid weaned on SC2 or whatever looking back to Dune 2 or WC1 might be left unimpressed.
