The consequences of political correctness
Well you flounced out of that thread several times after just stoking things up, so does seem like you were just trolling the thread with your silly act. Which is fine really, just don't pretend it was anything more than that - I highly doubt someone like you would ever be won over or something to make your purpose in there for something more lofty.

The consequences of political correctness
We didn't just have fights here, we used fight wars here. It has definitely cooled towards the boring side of the meter. But the truth is among the regulars everyone knows everyone's politics and we're all so stubborn it's impossible to change anyone's mind so why bother? Hey, there does not need a chance of victory for a fight to be fun

The consequences of political correctness
Seems people went there to discuss it perfectly fine or just pop in to snipe at others and then leave. Or are you continuing your joke that you went there to discuss it.

Nah, they are fun to argue with. Forum is dull unless you can have fights.

The consequences of political correctness
Hope so, not that it'll matter much with the new ideas on making this a 'safe space' or whatever the invented terminology is. Hey, this means oby might get banned - I guess Walshingam may climax if that comes to pass Hm, well in terms of offering a practical solution it's not a cure all - but this is just all text on a screen and there are mechanisms to hide content you are unable to handle without having some distress over. And "HTFU" is good advice 65% of the time in life.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Irritating host aside, this does look promising - though I feel like waiting a month or so to see how it goes given the hype of "SimCity minus the suck" going on around it.

The consequences of political correctness
Hardly an echo chamber when you, shirty and Bruce show up and get stuck in, though, is it ? Wonder if Eternity is a problem, a lot of the "usual suspects" you have an issue with are people that joined during the PE kickstarter - maybe we'll end up with more of the same, hah. Will be interesting to see the result anyway, I imagine most of them will stay in that subforum and not wander out.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
What else is new. Reading Walker's tweets about this were pretty funny as well. "I know that some people aren't going to like the interview. But the rules change when it's the players' money being messed with." was the best one.

"Their feelings are more important to you than your freedom to use certain words" No they're not.- Build Thread 2.0
Build is postponed for a while, hm, means I might not have a rig suitable to play GTA5 or Witcher 3 on, when they release. Shazbot.- The consequences of political correctness
They are easy to deal with really, most of the time I read of people whining about them it is either due to a really thin skin or just melodrama. How am I lacking empathy ? It's still a bad thing to say to people, I've not said it is good to use - just that racist words are, for a non-trivial amount of instances, another stone to sling at people. Granted it's a bit heavier than calling someone a 'douchebag'.- The consequences of political correctness
That thread also had issues with negativity on Obsidian sucking at developing or some other stuff rather than Offensive Things that the female developer felt driven off by, heh. Unless you want to consider stuff against a company politically incorrect, though. Still not convinced mass people are being driven off, and if that is even a problem in most cases - rather laughable what people get upset over (the micro-aggressions are truly the curse of our times). Racism as an ideology marginalized ? Sure thing. But even you've now shifted the definition, it's still just a word to cudgel you with some times.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I would have started it with "What will it take for you to leave the industry forever?"- The consequences of political correctness
If you define "boring" by "not populated by libertarian-leaning straight white men to the point of almost-exclusivity because everybody else finds it an unwelcoming environment", then yeah, sure, sign me up for boring. We need more boring. You've polled the race and political leanings of this forum ? What exactly are you whining about here - was there some drive to purge the place of blacks or communists or gays ? Funnily enough I don't think anyone's defined it. What is it to you then and how does that "benefit us all" (amazing how propagandist that saying is, heh)- The consequences of political correctness
Wait, so if someone is being racist for the sole purpose of angering people, it's not racist? Even though, logically, the people most likely to be angered by said display of racism are members of the race in question? That's some shaky logic there, methinks. Not really, it's just some one throwing a larger bomb than calling them an **** or insulting them some other way. Are just words to bludgeon people with, after all. Racism is a lot more than just saying some words which is just being rude.- What you did today
$400k would get you 400 sq feet here I think, in a decent area you aren't doomed to drive everywhere in, anyway.- The consequences of political correctness
Shirty sure would like this forum to be a boring place.- What are you playing now?
