  1. Talking about phones, I've had my windows phone for almost a month an I'm really enjoying it
  2. As a Russian, I'm enjoying all of the accents and names
  3. did i ever mention where I work now anywhere on these forums? My days are all about work and expecting new baby, so I'd like to discuss work, but we're a a high profile company that's in a quest period before IPA and I could get in trouble if anyone connects the dots.
  4. one is an awesome spaghetti western, another is a decent adventure game with good acting(fun to recognize all of these actors). Both have amazing atmosphere.
  5. Should I make an attempt to post here again?
  6. Well, i really like this game. And I could care less for the first two.
  7. You know, I really really don't see why people hate on Microsoft so much. I've used all three major platforms extensively in my personal and professional life and every one of them has plenty of advantages and disadvantages. One of Microsoft's advantages is fantastic integration, which can be their main weapon against steam.
  8. yeah, Zune. And its brilliant. I recently switched to Windows phone and I'm enjoying it even more than an iPhone. In fact I'm working towards giving ms another try and switching to all ms integration around the house.
  9. Dang, son. I'll be hitting you up once I get my gaming pc built(if ever)
  10. Welp, with the second kid being due on the 7th, I doubt I'll be able to play much of this:(
  11. Or you could try reading the sticky
  12. I prefer Game Pedro or Game Jose.
  13. I'd like to point out that I'm really liking what Double Fine are doing these days. Having released two commercially mediocre games, they're focusing on smaller XBLA/PSN titles and seem to be doing pretty good.
  14. Yeah AP's reactivity is on another level compared to other modern game. Anyway, keep in mind that DS3 was created by a relatively rpg young team. There aren't many BIS veterans on this project, if any.
  15. work ethics, obviously Albeit good companies do tend to attract people of good moral character. Hell, i'd vouch for all of our staff developers. Slowtrain, a lot of modern "software craftsman" consulting agencies do tend to promote ethical lifestyles. It's not for me to decide how successful they may or may not be
  16. That's the thing, in a good environment developers are expected to have strong sense of ethics. Those are the good jobs I was talking about.
  17. I still can't wrap my head around the drastic difference in reception between F3 anf F:NV. Why was one praised for its mediocre writing, flat dialogs and nonexistant C&C while all of the game stopping bugs were nearly completely ignored and the other one had all of its great writing ignored and instead became a scapegoat for inherited bugs :/ I also don't get why everyone seems to have their panties in a bunch over Skyrim, the game that looks like a very slight improvement over Oblivian. Where are those amazing graphics everyone is seeing, how can anyone believe into anything radiant anymore? I weep for the souls of modern gamers.
  18. I'll admit, maybe, just maybe, it's different in game development world. But I find that extremely hard to believe.
  19. There are a lot of great jobs for developers, however most of those require good candidates with modern skills and good ethics and majority of developers are lazy arrogant a-holes with no interest in writing good, clean, efficient code. We get treated like dirt because most of us are dirt.
  20. Oh yeah, 90K average salary for developer in gaming industry? yeah, right. (also, 90k in cali is not the same as 90k almost anywhere else in us)
  21. kids have this rainbows and butterflies vision of game development as this cool place where everyone is happily doing what they love for 8 hours a day and then spend the rest of the day playing awesome vidya games with their super awesome coworkers while getting blow jobs from Brazilian supermodels. AFAIK, most of the time it's a **** job with a **** pay.
  22. Got the brown truck man bringing it down tomorrow.
  23. 75% on Metacritic (cause we know how much publishers love metacritic http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/b...0,6627378.story
