More Craftable Weapons & Gear
McSquirl Nugget replied to phyerboss's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
i'd think this would be portable, no material cost to "recycle" and move it around. But shouldn't give you a spawn location option. Like if you run to the berry bush and start killing spiders and harvesting berries then oh look it's dark. you can drop the sleeping bag anywhere and sleep till morning, as long as no aggressive bugs are within 50cm or so. -
Can't play
McSquirl Nugget replied to Bobbyboy's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
start the game, then hit the xbox button, highlight the game and hit start (hamburger button). quit the game from there. that will clear your cache. then do a hard shutdown of the xbox, hold the power button in until it turns off. then wait for your xbox button on the controller to stop flashing. once it's out restart the console by the button on it. The more you use the hot start option the more often you'll find corruption in save files. can happen with any game, but it does happen to Grounded quite often if you don't fully exit it when finished playing using the above method to quit the game. -
suggestions: caravans and helpers
McSquirl Nugget replied to stryderFOX's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
In the interview thread the lead dev said they're not looking at taming anytime soon. This game isn't meant to be played starting over repeatedly. most of us like to start 1 game and continue playing and building rather than redoing the same thing over and over and over by restarting all the time. So i gotta vote no to all this. Except moving items. I made a post on that already. -

Secrets and stuff you've found
McSquirl Nugget replied to Bricksanity's topic in Grounded: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Is there a legit way to get into the oak tree lab through the ant hill? I can go out that way easy but haven't found the way in the "back door" I see people posting about. -
Secrets and stuff you've found

Yes. There was also an octopus version, that's the one we tore apart to see the insides, stretch Armstrong was to cool to destroy lol -
What? Where? What's after me??

done this myself, think they're stuck in the ground or a rock, etc. nearby. -
What city/state are we in?
McSquirl Nugget replied to tecknotot's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
going just off the spiders i would say it's not in the PNW, we don't have that type of Orb Weaver out here, we have the garden orb weaver, not the Australian version. and a couple others but they don't look anything like the pattern on the ones in game. Guess that would also depend if the pattern in game is a real orb weaver pattern. -
opinion about DoF usage
McSquirl Nugget replied to Gemma_Kat's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I like the DoF, give us an option to keep it or remove it for those (seemingly) few that want it removed. -
How do you learn the Torch+ ?

This might have been mentioned already but my quick search turned up nothing. If like to see the ability to move placed items without recycling them. Like the water container, when empty it should be able to be moved after placed. Plank and stem pallets, jerky rack, smoothie stand, etc. All need a move option. Aggravating when I build an item and then days later want to move it closer to where my base is but lose materials from having to destroy and rebuild it. Not everything should be moveable, I don't want to drag my house around, just utility and food prep items.

I had a brain storm last night, surprised me it still works Why not a bike? we have what we need in game now to make one. Twigs and stems for the frame, wheels, etc. Rubber for the tires. Berry leather and gnat fluff for the seat. woven fibers to lash it together. Then my sled idea (and Tier 2cart upgrade) could be attached to the bike. Since we're not getting mounts anytime soon, this could be an alternative. a faster way to travel, and a way to have a pack mule type deal. Thoughts?

Crafting Simplified

2nd this. -
Burg-L mentions fixing the batteries when you first talk to him. I'm guessing/hoping we'll get electricity in the future and craftable items to use it. There's all that wiring running from the laser beam tripods we could tap into. might have to have a long extension cord depending where you base is and if that's how it's done i'd like to see bugs able to damage these cords we lay out. mites could chew on them like they did that laser power cord, except break them. Then we'd have a dead mite at the broken section we need to repair to restore power.

Suggestion - Increase dropped object timer
McSquirl Nugget replied to tecknotot's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
+1 for this. really annoys me when i shoot a bug full of arrows and kite it around, the first arrows sometimes lose their shine and can't be recovered by the time i get back to them. happens a lot with items ants steal also. numerous times i've come back to my base and hear my toon kick something that's been plucked from my storage that i didn't see.- 1 reply

Sticker Collectibles
McSquirl Nugget replied to DungeonSmith's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
i don't see how this would work in the game. those stickers you mention would be huge for our characters, we the size of ants, we stand like 10mm tall. smallest sticker i ever remember getting from a cereal box was about 2 inches square, roughly 5 times our height. I like where you're going though, what about weed stem carvings, like trophies or figurines we can find. for decorations we can do maybe a grass plank engraving that could be colored in with berry juice as paint. Paintings would be cool, plant fibers turned into canvas and berry juice could be red paint, aphid's honeydew for yellow, etc. -
Minty Freshness
McSquirl Nugget replied to William Blair's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
hotdogs and apples aren't end game items. Mint is. The Mint Mallet is the only Tier 3 item in the game. It's also the only man made resource in the game, it doesn't grow like i said above, it should be rare. At least for now anyway until we get more tier 3 or even tier 4 items. Maybe we could then unlock a mint recipe from Burg-L, or find another mint container in a new area. I wouldn't trust the leaks, but if we got a 2h sword that would be awesome. -
Storage Basket Carryable
McSquirl Nugget replied to TW0STRAWS's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
that's where the sled or pull cart i've mentioned would be handy. carry your chests for the smaller items or stack planks and stems on it also, not at the same time though, chests/baskets or planks or stems. -
Do weeds respawn?
McSquirl Nugget replied to Koto's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)

devs Shields and Vehicles
McSquirl Nugget replied to CookieMoanster's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
shields i've mentioned, clover shield for tier 1, acorn shield tier 2, stink bug sheild tier 3. the stink bugs in the game are also called shield bugs from their shape. i seriously hope we never have vehicles.
