1. 1. QA is usually done by the publisher. Make of that what you will. 2. I don't remember Double Fine having that much of an info after three days. When they started it, they had about as much info as Obsidian has right now (I might be wrong about this). I don't think they even had any kind of stretch goals. InXile announced the engine they're using on Wasteland 2 month or two after the kickstart. Obsidian put up their kickstart on Friday and did not expect this to get funded as fast as it did. They even went to work on weekend just so they get their stretch goals up when people demanded those. It's only been 3 days. I know where you are coming from but have a little patience. 3. What's the hurry with paypal? First they had to secure that the game is funded via Kickstarter. It's coming. That $30 shipping for $500+ rewards was kind of weird but I think I read somewhere that it was an error. And they did fix it so why complain? As for the multilingual thingy for Europeans... Well, I'm European (someone might have figured it out from my not-always-so-good-grammar) and I think that is just a waste of time. That probably is because they will never, ever release this game on my native language. But, once again, I know there are people who wants it and Obsidian has already said, they are looking for ways to translate this. (Did Planescape: Torment even get released in other languages than English?) tl;dr - Sit down and wait. All will be answered in time.
2. Word on the streets (and on Something Awful) is that Sawyer is going to release some kind of blog today that gives some info on the world and such. Of course things might have changed since then and he'll released it on friday. Or never.
3. Doesn't Overhaul have Hasbro's and Atari's support and giving funds for BGEE? That's why BGEE is going to be released. As soon as they say that it is not worth it, you can say goodbye to your BG3. Obsidian didn't get any publisher to back this project in the first place because it was seen as too risky. Only reason why Hasbro/Atari (I don't remember, which hold which licences) gave green light to BGEE is because they know they can have easy money from it.
4. I'm ok with Humans/Elves/Dwarves. Actually when I think about it, I would be a little disappointed if elves and/or dwarves were left out. It wouldn't be a dealbreaker though since I think the game would be good whatever the races are. Wouldn't hurt if those stretch goal races would be something else. Tieflings and catdudes might be overused too but I'm ok with those. Insectoids? ? Moomin? I trust your judgement, Obsidian.
5. Activision if I remember correctly.
6. If you watch the video again, you can see those characters in concept art holding muskets and such..
7. Seriously people. As much as you or me would like a new game in Planescape setting, it ain't going to happen. Same goes for Arcanum 2. Some of the commenters have already posted reasons why but I will quote one of the latest. Second reason why we won't have another Planescape game is that I think WotC discontinued Planescape a few years back so I don't think they would allow Obsidian to use it's licence anyway. As for people asking for a remake, no. It doesn't need a remake. Original IP as a spiritual successor for Planescape or something like that would be nice (I like the idea of 'Torment in space') but Obsidian should make a game that they want to make.
8. How about The Black Hound? I'm still hoping that someday Mr. Sawyer could get it done one way or another. If that is off the table, something like turn-based or RTwP RPG with complex story, interesting characters and C&C that really matters. If it has Planescape/MOTB -esque writing and atmosphere, even better. You can choose the setting. And if it has voice acting, silent protagonist is a must, I can still use my imagination. Maybe made with Onyx?
9. May I present to you... House M.D. The Game for PC and DSi. Don't know if it's any good though.
10. Modern Warfare 3's Pepsi Cross Promotion Steps Over the Line by Paul Tassi
11. I'm not sure if PS:T really requires spoiler tags anymore...
Best ending: You go to hell
Ah thanks for that. I'll probably still use spoiler tags for Torment since I have been surprisingly spoiler free for it myself. And, yep that's the ending I got. Good to know. Great game. Even though that's the best ending video and outcome, it still might not be the best ending. The best ending imo is when
12. Apparently you can buy items with real world money.
13. Didn't see anyone mentioning this so funny things in Fallout 1: Brahmin saying "Moo, I say" I thought that was funny the first time I saw that.
14. The Lost History of System Shock
15. Dammit, I didn't get that. Odd that it kept all of my Origin choices from a Witch Hunt import, but no Awakenings choices despite going through Awakenings. Unfortunately I only had a Witch Hunt & Golems of Angarrak save. At least it read my Origins choices from the Witch Hunt save. I'm in the process of replaying Origins with a different character so I'll make sure to have Origins and Awakenings ending saves. I'm kind of in hiatus from Origins though as I don't really feel like replaying DA 2 again until it receives a patch. While they can't fix the repeating dungeons/caves, hopefully they will fix some of the quest bugs and add auto-attack to the console version. DA 2 killed my hand and I'm in no hurry to mash the A-button a million more times. Save importing is bugged. I imported Witch Hunt save and majority of my choices in DAO and Awakening were imported wrong. Amaranthine burned even if I saved it, I didn't romance anyone even if I did, "Finding Nathaniel" quest doesn't trigger (in Act 2, if you get the quest from the dwarf to find his missing sons from The Deep Roads, then you won't get Nathaniel quest) etc. You can check your plot flags with console command "runscript zz_vault_debug". I read from Bioware forums that it's Awakening that is causing all the save import problems.
16. Oldies but goldies: Shadow Of the Beast intro, title & level 1
17. Everyone who is confused with the history and the story of FEAR 1 should visit the official site. There you can read the history of Alma, what happened in the first game, character infos etc. Maybe it helps you to understand the storyline. I think my first reaction to FEAR 2 ending was "wtf just happened?" but i kinda liked it for some reason.
