Gaza - conflict, war, land, water rights, bad colonional legacies...
bugarup replied to BruceVC's topic in Way Off-Topic
...I didn't think I was arguing about why it is OK to shoot up civilians because the answer is pretty obviously "It is never OK", even if they celebrate when their ruling terrorists do unspeakable things to neighboring countries civilians. I'm saying that different reaction to war crimes might be not as primitive and lazy as "Durr dem brown muslims and those other ones while christians", or not only, at least. -

I would hazard a guess it's more "people who elected terrorists and openly celebrate their carnage" issue than "brown people with funny religions". Because fellow "brown people with funny religions" of Egypt keep their border with Gaza closed too for some reason... -

I don't get separatist. Take a domain that your deity does not allow but it's gonna be weakened? Yeah nah, how about I take a different deity instead. -

Did the Swarm (respecced to kineticist and it was the most broken thing ever I saw in this game). Kind of meh, has nothing on MOTB evil ending. Loaded the save before to continue with Azata, now Charname is swarmed by butterflies and locusts. Azata is truly all-accepting. -
Yeah, nah. That semi-sentient infected ballsack did not want to prevent anything for quite some time, if ever. On the contrary, it was itching for conquest lately and the only question is how much of that was pragmatism of grabbing rich lands/keeping zone of influence and how much revanchistic delusions of grandeur of aging mediocrity of a dictator whose grip on its country had't been challenged for a long, long time. It is wary of USA, not sure how much of that is inheritance of sovietistan's archenemy -- that thing is very fond of sovietistan's "legacy" -- or deliberately constructed bogeyman for its country's people that had gotten out of hand and affected those that created it in the first place, but it's there alright. It definitely didn't think EU was a threat, and to be completely honest it was deserved - have Ukraine folded overnight, I'm certain EU would just tut disapprovingly and invoke some weak-ass excuse of "sanctions", like it was with Crimea in 2015 or Georgia in 2008. So "NATO is a threat" is just a piece of propaganda. Anyway. It's kind of funny in "really not funny at all" way that russia's blitzkrieg turned into blyatzkrieg largely because of russia's signature penchant for lying about everything all the time and corruption of immeasurable proportions. Fingers crossed they will finish the job eventually.

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part VII

I morphed to Swarm from Azata and it appears that fully support-oriented class is really, really bad at soloing the game. Thing is, I don't think I ever did swarm preparation on any other character because one encounter with vescavors is one encounter with vescavors too many, so either I look for variables to change in Toybox for something OP like angel or somehow soldier on with a court poet. Sigh. At least the idea of a swarm bard is amusing. Wonder how they sound? Something like this, probably: -
I'll see your "Average Betty" and raise you "Flying Fridges", the ship so ugly I absolutely had to make her my default:

I have a base on the starter planet which is basically one giant hollow cuboid with storage stuff, teleporter and some generators plus some parking space for space vehicle and buggies outside. I certainly have more than one storage box but that's because RPGs trained me to hoard everything like a dragon, I probably doesn't really need that. I have another base where there's just some floor with a teleporter and a generator to fuel it, but don't use it much. Suit and ship inventory upgrades can be bought, if I recall correctly, in space stations and costs money. I don't spend time on base other than sometimes building yet another storage box for loot and most of the time just fly around. Or repair found ships.

Those sandwiches look like a good start, just need a bit of salt, pepper, red onion, garlic, oil, chili and lime and then it's perfect!

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part VII

He was worth almost a million XP, to be fair. Though maybe it's just the endgame bloat just like it is with everything else at that point. As for Aivu, of course, totally nobody. Nor did I set Azata run to branch into Swarm either. (TBH she's not as annoying as artificial intelligences of reddit make her be, because it appears she's literally a child, and getting mad at a kid for yakking about sweets would be kinda...well. Of course that raises a question what Azata is thinking, dragging a child into the battlefield, but judging by that mythic path's development thinking isn't Azata's forte). -

Had a Mephisto fight with Aeon. Filed a bug report laden with expletives and unclean gift wishes upon Owlcat. Did win with half a party even alive after 7 or so attempts, still think story-mandatory fights should not be overtuned like that. Kinda wanted to go Devil from Azata some day, but now when I hate Mephistopheles so, so much I possibly won't. -

While Aeon plays real weak compared to Lich shenanigans, tagging Playful Dorkness with edict of retaliation and watching stupid mutt off itself was very satisfying. Too bad it didn't work on Mustafa-Mutagen with his 300 bombs per round bullsh†terry, but Yozz in Greybore's quest managed to shank himself to death in one round and that was glorious. I still like Aeon run a lot even if I have to reload quite a bit - I'm on a custom difficulty of "Greybor and Woljif sans mounts are in party", so it's melting time when mobs focus them instead of my big ass dragon, but having less leeway than Lich has its advantages, i.e. I had to bother with testing what enhancements stack (answer: none of them. Great Magic Fang covers everything), things like that. Leaning into summoning was a bad idea - not only summons were still only useful as spider fodder, for some inexplicable reason my druid's summons were always inactive for the first round even if I pre-summoned them before fight , though Daeran's skellies or Azatas from the beer mug behaved normally. Respecced into simple thick-skinned dragon form with high initiative and selective spells, and it's much more fun now. Edict of retaliation and selective Zero States is never not fun, and there's also trololo spell of making enemies to only roll 11 which, if the party is properly buffed, basically equals to rolling ones. -
Can you be a little more specific please, because I can't quite remember anything of that sort either on February 2014 or 2022. And speaking of setting fire to a building full of Russian civilians - 19 years and 2 days ago there happened Beslan school siege, where russian army set a building full of Russian mostly small civilians on fire to demonstrate the world that russia stronk!!! and can one-up terrorists without anyone's help. Unfortunately, that horror did not make russia to declare war on itself.

Rich of Lae'zel to call anyone ugly and Astarion kinda looks like recently deceased Wagner boss Prigozhin especially when he makes dour faces. Anyway, Internet told me you can romance an actual bona fide Mindflayer, so that's who I'm going after in the distant future. Unless there is something even more outlandish.

Yikes. Larian stans steering towards being more obnoxious than acolytes of Dark Souls' Unholy Church of Git Gud.
