  1. Mulsantir's theme was awesome. More stuff like this if you would, Mr. Bell.
  2. I'm with the no alignment-just faction reputation vote.
  3. Man, decisions... decisions. I <3 steam and get p. much all my PC games from there but the benefits of the GOG version (such as not being forced to play on the current version) have a lot of merits as well.

  5. Ambiance sounds are a huge role in what brings a game world to life.
  6. Stat comparison for equipment ala WoW (e.g. comparing a piece of usable armor that dropped to the same piece that the PC/companion currently has equipped).
  7. If it's anything like the DA2 demo it's an automatic from me. I guess cash strapped Greece is looking an innovative new way
  8. This thread smells of old people
  9. Better come up with more stretch goals because at this rate all those will be reached.
  10. From the way it's looking, 1 mill in the first 24 hours. Quite a feat that. edit: Didn't wasteland 2 hit like ~500k in the first 24?
  11. Do you all hear that? It's the sound of the revitalization of the WRPG genre. Wasteland 2 Shadowrun Project Eternity and so on. Good times people, good times...
  12. I kind of like class-less RPG mechanics, OTOH I feel class based mechanics with extensive customization are the better way to go.
  13. Chainmail bikinis are ridiculous.
  14. http://www.neogaf.co...5&postcount=674 http://www.neogaf.co...0&postcount=694 GAF <3's Obsidian. Wish I wasn't a poor college student or I'd contribute more than $35. Also cake.

  17. Tried a few minutes of dark souls over a friend's house. I was warned that the KB/M controls were bad but holy hell I wasn't expecting THAT bad.
  18. FFXI is most profitable FF game for Sqaure Enix ever... http://www.gamesrada...l-fantasy-ever/ It would be stupid for them to sink this ship... Of course it is, they recouped development costs long ago and I'd imagine a not too big percentage of the revenue they bring in from subscriptions goes towards bandwidth and a team to maintain the game and add content from time to time (since the game p. dated I imagine the team not being very big). FFXI used to be an amazing game, the last bastion for hardcore players. too bad the devs have ruined it. I played it ~ '03-04 when I was in middle school. I liked it then but remember the server economy being screwed up (hugely inflated AH prices for example), not that since the game was modeled after EQ in many ways (like low drop rates on pretty much anything worth selling) helped either.
  19. I completely forgot about CoH, surprised it lasted this long (that and FFXI).
  20. Flew back to NJ from FL this morning after a week's vacation staying in a house my fam owns in hudson beach. The Canals and beach are nice (the latter only to watch sunsets, not for swimming) but god the town itself... I wouldn't want to permanently move there.
  21. Depends on what you want from it. It has some of the most realistic shooting mechanics ever seen in a video game, but that also makes gunfights incredibly challenging at times. It's not an FPS like call of duty where you're being shot at 99% of the time, so to some people that comes off as "slow". The game is technically open-world but the game world itself is not seamless, rather it's a bunch of huge maps that are connected by a number of paths. That said, if you like exploration in your games you're in for a treat here.
  22. Yeah, Falcom Sound Team JDK. You can't hear a conversation about falcom without them being mentioned at one point. I'll just leave this here http://www.youtube.com/user/FalcomClassics/videos?view=1
  23. Honestly I can describe the games as "button-mashing done right", but since you're new my advice is that the boss fights can sometimes be unforgiving, especially at higher difficulty settings so don't feel bad or anything if you end up lowering them. Also the plots are relatively self contained (though ys doesn't place heavy emphasis on them, unlike Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky) so you won't miss much starting with either-or (but if you really want to play in some chronological order: Ys Orign would be #0, Felghana is #3, you can find the rest out by looking at wikipedia).
