  1. As what I said before,a easy multiplayer arena is enough, for character building test. But if they can fund 4 million, I will glad to see a co-op model:)
  2. Don't you worry about the graphic and bug? I do.
  3. $2.9 million: another companion and another race $3.0 million: upgrade player house to stronghold,Chinese translation added $3.1 million: New region, faction deeper storyline, modding toolkit
  4. But knighthood is not enough for such addressing as correct addressing for knight is Sir or Dear Sir. You should be at least Lord Channelor, Lord Mayor or something like that . OK, now I learn two new words~So let me become a Lord Mayor!
  5. Now we have Ziets join, they should give us two new companions! not classes! 8 companions is too less than BG2!
  6. Yes, that's the sweet stuff which I really love. I think it's to complex to design 11 kinds of stronghold by classes. How about to design 2 kinds of it, one for non-magic classes, one for magic classes. That will be easy to achieve. Another funny stuff with stronghold, I want to have a knighthood in PE. The feeling is really good to be called "My lord." Then add a few diplomacy quests, a few conflict and alliance with other strongholds. The game will be cool eough.
  7. A revolution ala Spartacus? Hmmm... could be an interesting quest. I don't want a simple arena where you just fight for cool loot like Kingdom of Amalur. It would be great if there's some political intrigue and battle for influence involved. For instance, as you progress through the levels in the Arena, you could be invited to work under the patronage of competing rival lords. Then it opens up for quests outside of the Arena. Something other than the straightforward fight and get loot style in most Arenas. Totally agree. If it's just a single-player arena, of course there should be many quests and stories add into it. No one need a place just for fighting and loot. For example, we could choice to become champion, or become the big boss who own the arena, who could buy new beasts and slaves for new combat show, then make money from tickets. Or we can be employed to be a coach, who teach young gladiators and earn salary. Before a difficult battle, we can poison opponent's water, or trap his weapon. Even we can find a exile prince in the arena, and help him come back to his country where beyond hundreds of snow mountains. .............. I have ton of ideas about how to design an interesting arena. A storyless arena is a crap design such as a storyless dungeon. I'm sure if there will be a arena in PE, there will be great fun in it
  8. I think we could have a lot of side quests in the arena. Maybe a gladiator become your companion.Or you lead a revolution of gladiators to overthrow the slaveholders. Maybe you meet a evil team and need to have 6 duel with them. The hard decision is which companion should play first.
  9. Hey, it's unfair The boxing match in Fallout2 support great experience to me!
  10. Yes, I'm glad with that decision, too. But the multiplayer arena is just a small toy added into the game. It's very easy to achieve and can support a good test function to the classes setting, level setting and skill setting. Even it can create varied new combat tactics and support great reference to AI design.
  11. Do you remember the funny boxing match in Fallout2? Knock down opponents ,earn bounty and protect your ear Also, in skyrim there was a cool circus. The orc champion has a sad background. Would you like to see an arena in PE? Chanllenge it alone or with your companions. Beat sword master or foreign beast. Become new legendry champion and earn epic equipments. Or could we go more far? How about a multiplayer arena?Knock down your classmate,or fight side by side with your little brother. Or you can test the power of your character building, and have an arch mages duel as in BG2. Maybe such an easy internet PVP model just need a very small budget.
  12. Yes, that's a dream.I still remember the shocking experience when I first played PS:T 13 years ago. That summer vacation I spent my 2 month pocket money, 98 RMB, to buy the big black box of PS:T. It just equaled to 15 dollar, but it's a big amount of money at that decade for a kid. The box still is one of my favorite treasure, although the translation was really terribleT_T. After that I spent 13 years waiting for a greater RPG. Now Obsidian give me the hope, you guys must succeed And a small wish, if it possible, give us a offcial Chinese translation. I know there are many organizations in China composed by crazy Blackisle believers can support free translation work~
  13. I'd guess no - the Infinity engine games didn't have that mechanic, and it probably fits better into a turn-based game. I'm sure Josh and Tim will dream up a cool critical hit/miss system or something though.(HOPES!) Yes, it fits turn-based game better. But I think it also fit real-time pause system as well, with a good redesign. I wish this system could be added because melee combat will become very funny by it. And the tactics of melee classes will be great improved, too. You know the boring Melee combats was the big weakness in those IE games.
  14. I'm not sure what you mean by point and attack system, but we will likely be using a reputation system similar to F:NV in Project Eternity (also, we aren't using "alignment", "karma" or other morality meters). In general, the way we will be approaching the world design and faction development will likely be similar to F:NV. We want the characters to feel like they have believable motivations, reasons for doing what they do. Sorry for my poor English.Chris has mentioned your idea of reputation system in kickstarter and I love it. What I mean in my post is the combat system in fallout which allow us to attack different parts of enemies' body. I think that system can combine with real-time pause system and support great fun, especially in the combat with gaint monsters^_^
  15. Hi Josh, will there be some elements from Fallout? For me,the point and attack system adding will be great.
  16. Speak frankly, I'm a little disspointed yesterday when I saw updated #17. WL2 adding can't make PE different, and I have already bought WL2 boxed collectors edition. A free expantion is fine but now we should put all ideas into the basic game. If the basic game be successful, who care about paying money for expantion again? Finally when I waked up 20 minutes ago this morning, I saw the amazing stretch goals that really touched me. Not marketing strategy or selling strategy, but a stuff which can make PE greater. Now we have a dream team from Obsidian with George Ziets, Tim Cain, Josh Sawyer and Chris Avellone. I'm really sure PE will become another great PRG as PS;T. So if OE try all their best to make a great game, I will try my best to help, design a hell cool artifact into PE( you guys really should allow me to design a special ability for the artifact, not only lore, look, and type ) There was a Chinese proverb:"You can't bring money into the coffin with you." Every backers, I think this is a good time to up our pledge. Forget those cool bicycle, Hi-Fi or luxurious bag, you aren't really need them. To join a great project will become the best Christmas gift So please press the blue button to kick PE ahead, don't wait for last day! By the way, where is my golden badge? I'm eager to see some golden thing
  17. You think too much. I love this stretch goal and I'm sure it will be achieved.
  18. Yes,I love tha cannon, too,That summoning video is hell cool! But the damage data is a little poor,,,
  19. Anyway,a better update #18 is needed.
  20. That give me a feeling:they are focus on how to make people upgrade pledge, not focus on how to make game greater.
  21. We even don't know many about the basic game. Now they are talk about the expansion. Really make me confuse.
