  1. Many things listed by those that aren't fanboys. However getting fanboys to admit/see faults in AP is like trying to get the truth from politicians.
  2. Sad news, my condolences to his friends and family.
  3. Because calling a game weak and broken is kind?
  4. Bioware is going to be pushing ME/DA games out for the next few years.
  5. Thanks for reminding me that there's no Freespace 3, jerk. Hey don't forget, X-wing vs Tie and Wing Commander.
  6. Reach has space combat? Maybe, just maybe it will remind gamers and game devs how awesome it is.
  7. Obsidian makes story driven RPGs with lots of dialogue. SE makes JRPG. Do you really think the two together will make a game with limited dialogue? Things to take from the announcement. You don't get that without dialogue.
  8. It just never works well. It normally ends up more as an annoyance than anything else. Yeah well, I'll just wait on that. Still it's not a deal breaker feature for me.
  9. Planet Alcartraz. I bought it ages ago but only started really playing it tonight. The skill system reminds me of Fallout 1/2. The game itself........ it's unique, will post more about it after I get through it.
  10. What! God damn it, I was looking forward to the Precursors.
  11. Agreed. However the loss of all skills is unfortunate(pretty sure I heard that before, but still annoying).
  12. Was it D&D style(limited uses per day/rest) or more like an MMO(recharge timer).
  13. Does not compute. It's hands down my favorite KOTOR game, the 'ruined' one that is. I'm the opposite, I much prefer the original. However NWN2 campaign was far better the original.
  14. Front mission another SE fanchise was a turn based rpg, now it's Armored Core. Today's games don't always take after their predecessors.
  15. Those 9 minutes were more interesting then MK:Annihilation. Pity it won't be a movie.
  16. Eh, compare that to ME2's and not much is left: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/category/106/index Edit; Oh, hey, look. Mouse control issues... Odd.[/sarcasm] This is a joke right? Your comparing a five month tech forum of a game that sold 2 mil+ copies. To a forum that's been going for 13 days and a game that's sold 100,000-400,000.
  17. This thread brings back the terrible memories of the deep roads. Or more recently getting lost in a labyrinth in Numen, however there was no fighting in that, just tunnels and more tunnels and then finally finding what I was meant to find only to have to find my way back. The real kick to the nuts was when I got back to the opening, there was stones you could of taken to mark your path.
  18. Obsidian!Gas Powered Games! Bethesda! Piranha Bytes! HEART! GO PATCHES! By your programs combined, I am CAPTAIN PATCHES! (Captain Patches, he's our Hero gonna take bug count down to Zero He's our programs magnified And he's fighting on the players' si~de) I think I want what your smoking.
  19. According to Saywer is the best D&D edition. And certainly, Obsidian wouldn't pass the opportunity of working on a franchise with such an enormous fanbase (even with all the bashing against the 4th ed. there still would be a LOT of guaranteed sales) and do another take on Forgotten Realms or another D&D fantasy setting (Eberron?). Assuming that they manage to implement the mechanics correctly and work on it from scratch, it could even turn out to be a pretty good game, and that's coming from someone that is just as much fed up with D&D crpgs as you. With all the legal shenanigans it's quite improbable that a D&D title will be worked on in the near future though. Not saying we couldn't get another good D&D game, most of them have been excellent rpgs. I would just like to see some other settings. Since I'm not a pnp player I'm guessing Eberron is a different D&D setting with different mechanics etc? That would be fine.
