SIgs... Beaten me by few seconds

Haha. no clue. For PnP Pathfinder I prefer roleplaying clown type characters, last time I had Gnome Barbarian with Animal Fury Rage Power, biting every monster in the ass or tail with his secondary attack Have not really studied UC and UM Base Classes and Prestige classes. In computer DnD games, I always played Mages though...

List of most epic games from obyknven
Mamoulian War replied to obyknven's topic in Computer and Console
Not enough natural light for filming in the basement. That can be easily simulated. This has been already shown more than 1000 times in movies which go really deep into adult themes... -
I wish someone would made non-online game with turn-based combat with Pathfinder Ruleset... All they would need to do is to port some of the awesome Adventure Paths to some Unity based engine, made it DRM free, and I would throw money at them in fat stacks...

The saddest thing about this post is, that some time ago, that server would be called Dedicated/LAN Server, and it would be shipped with the game by the publisher... Now it is compared to crime... *sighs*

Are you really asking people to start to behave on the internet??? Where has the world come to... /disappoint

Yeah, most of the turn-based games had this solution implemented in early 90's already, realy don't see what's the fuss about it...

Is not so rare, as you would think, and it is not only case for China and small tech shops. There are groups which are profiting from the stupid price policy which some companies have for worldwide users, and are offering in less rich countries "cheap official" releases and even offering support for that software. Something which big companies who are asking full price never heard of in this part of the world... Apparently no profit and bitiching all day long about lost sales is for them better than offer their products for lower price and get the small profit... Read the CD Projekt article in the random video game news. Especially the first part of the article, which describes, how it was working in 90's in eastern europe, and in the same way it is still working around the world in countries with low GDP per capita... In Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and in Slovakia as well at the end of 90's, the original software started to have sales, when the local distributors have started to offer games for 15EUR localized in local languages instead of offering games in English only for 60-90EUR. People in my generation learned that way to appreciate the software makers and started to buy stuff from their favourite companies even after the prices has gone up to the normal 50-60EUR range nowadays... You have to first offer in these countries a product, which competes directly with pirates and slowly educate the people. Then you will reap all the positive stuff, but most companies are just interested in short term profits and do not see much into the future... As much as I dislike Steam, they have done the right thing and have done the same in Russia, as CD Projekt in Poland. Offering cheaper games to win pirates for their digital distribution. Once you have them, it is hard for them to leave you, even if you start asking bigger prices, because they already experienced your quality service...

Continuation from pretty old thread we had here some time ago link to last page: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/59648-piracy/page-29 link to first page: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/59648-piracy/ A special edition for some not to be named guys who are boasting, that downloading a DRM-stripped executable for your purchased game is unlawful, but getting cheap STEAM key from internet is all by the book... 30000 keys of the game having free copy promotion, were hijacked and then offered for sale on internet... http://www.giantbomb.com/articles/the-great-escape-of-30-000-steam-keys/1100-4780/

And another interesting story how to start a company and compete with piracy in a country where was at the time probably 99% of software pirated... By CD Projekt RED http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-11-06-seeing-red-the-story-of-cd-projekt Then it speaks about development of Witcher and Witcher 2 and how the company became what it is now.

That is pretty interesting...

http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2013/11/microsoft-shouldnt-hire-any-ceo-who-wants-to-kill-bing-and-xbox/ An interesting new article about future of Microsoft and hiring new CEO. Many analyst are recommending to Microsoft to ditch Bing and Xbox, because they do not make enough profit. Looks like there is some chance for lot of people ending up with pretty expensive paperweight :/

To bad, none of the launch titles for both new consoles interest me...

It would require one fireball in TB system as well, all small spiders gone in one puff of smoke. Only thing which could make it a tragedy, would be the small spiders immunity to fire, but that would be another example of ****ty encounter design. But even this could be cornered with clever combat system, when all enemies would make their turn at once (ToEE had this years ago, so inXile does not need to reinvent the wheel with this one). Or it could be cornered with a player, who knows how to use his braincells for more advance things like breathing and playing CoD multiplayer 8 hours a day... Namely to use a Chain Lightning. Voila, all enemies gone in one turn - you earned 150 experience points, move along to the next "epic for braindamaged chimpanzees" encouter... For all other it's just one click and win under 1 minute. I can't help myself, but the more Bester bitchss about such trivial stuff, the more I am excited for the final product...

I liked WoW best before the Honor Kill patch. At that time there was so much socializing around and much more mature communication, after that the server started to fill up with jerks or more like the people started to behave that way. I was playing on PvP server from start, but before the Honor patch, there was the nice feel of danger everywhere. After Honor Patch, there was the feel, "who's gonna corpse camp me now"... Which ruined one part of WoW for me, but right after that, I joined a guild, and a new possibilities opened up. I ended, with my guild on a server, where Nihilum was playing (the wolrd first dudes) so this brought a lot of jerks as well, but communication outside of guild was pretty common, and finding a PuGs was never hard, even without dungeon finder. Then they added cross realm for it and it became boring. It pretty made even guild chat more silent. No one needed anyone else besides big raids and achievement farming... yeah, became bored a lot. I bought Cataclysm, but haven't even activated my serial key after that... sighs, never touched Pandaria

Playing again Star Ocean 4. After completing Reimi fe wmonths ago, I completed Bacchus today. Still 20% of the game to finish before geting platinum. In four days it will be three years when I started the game for the first time, so far 375 hours played on my second playthrough and 66 on first one... Slowly moving towards completing Arumat, 1800 encounters to go... Am I crazy? O.o

Just do what I do, and wait for slim edition of the console, you get no brick less cooling required and a smaller box place in one deal And lower power consumption as an added bonus as well

What IGN said: I'm not highlighting journos for argument's sake, it's just I've never played one second of an Assassin's Creed game, but I want a fun day one title on PS4. Rumor is Target is having a Buy Two, Get One Free deal on next-gen games during launch week ... if so, Lego Marvel Superheroes, Killzone Shadowfall, and perhaps Black Flag. Ars made it sound like, if you've played AC games before, Black Flag is kinda bland and samey, with terrible AI. IGN made it sound like a big-ass oceanic sandbox game, that improved a lot over previous editions. I found the best reviews most of the time on arstechnica, for one reason, it is not gaming dedicated website and they do not need to live out of game comercials... although I still think they do prefer one company in particular which should not be named (after Ben Kuchera left for PA, my observation is that they dropped that behaviour little bit, but not completely), but their view of the gaming business is in my eyes one of the most objective I have seen on a webpage, which reviews games.

Bullfrog, Westwood, Origin, do I need to say more?
-
Not before they release Beyond Good and Evil 2, after that, I don't much care what happens to them. (Though Watch Dogs is shaping up to look pretty impressive) But tell me, aside from sports games, which I could not care less about, what was the last qualitatively good game EA released? Wing Commander Prophecy

Ant that is exactly what I do not like about games. When I want to spent lot of time with exploring or walking through some city, I just buy me a flight ticket there and visit it myself. I never finished any Bethesda game, despite having lot of fun at the start with each one, but after week or two of playing, I got bored to dead... Always... Same with every other large sandbox game... With exception of Fallout 3... For some reason, I almost finished this game... But I think it was the DLCs, which I enjoyed much more than the game. I quit the game for a year, when I reached the carrier. And for another year when I finished Dunwich... And I finished every God of War game I touched, despite me sucking a lot with everything except RPGs, I even finished God of War III on platinum. I just need a game, where there is something to do every second of the game, not a game where you have to walk around for hours to get to your next objective.

God of War are better games though
